Queen Sydney completely annihilated Bol at the Paris Olympics. Bol only got a very disappointing bronze medal, not even silver and after the race Bol looked shocked and cried like a baby. In short, Bol is NOT a rival at all.
I noticed a common theme. All of these videos about Sydney talk about Femke just as much. Sydney has the World Record and Olympic Record and has comfortably beaten Femke every time, yet all of these videos keep talking about Femke as if she is a factor. She is not. Y'all need to stop attaching Femke to Sydney. Let Sydney get her shine because y'all don't mention Sydney in any significance in videos hyping Femke.
No doubt Sydney is much much better. But fem is easily the second best female 400m hurdler ever as she is the only other woman to go under 51 seconds. And femke bol did make uncharacteristic mistakes in the 400m hurdle final race, and she did run a couple of extra races in the 400m mixed relay for the Netherlands, where she ran one of the fastest 400m relay splits in history at 47.93 in which they beat the Americans in won gold and was 0.02 outside the world record. I see and do agree with your point but Femke bols 400m hurdle best was only 0.3 slower than Sydneys world record before the race. Obviously Sydney broke her own world record but femke bols best is still only 0.6 behind Sydneys time. From Femkes point of view she could of not ran the extra races and saved her energy all for the 400m hurdle final and gave Sydney a much better and closer race, but by doing that she wouldn't have come back with a single gold medal for her country so Femke took that risk won gold in the 400m mixed relay for her country. And femke has openly admitted how she admires Sydney and what she does in the hurdles taking it to heights never seen and we may never see again. It's great for the 400m womens hurdles and sport in general to have by far the two best in history racing at the same time. I think considering both these woman's ages that Sydney can break the 50second barrier in those hurdles but only just. And I believe Femke bol can just break 50.5 seconds as her PB is 50.95 currently. And Sydney's is 50.37. What makes Sydney more special is I believe she can challenge the world record at the open 400m if she focuses on it solely for a few years. Where as Femke bol cant in my opinion, although I do think she can challenge breaking 48 seconds in the open 400m. Ethier way its fantastic to have them both and both deserve all the praise and both say this about each other aswel.
Easier to make the TH-cam vid longer for it to qualify for ad rev if they can talk about 2 people…. Plus “they say” that it’s more interesting to have a story that creates tension and drama (even if in reality the final results just confirm the REAL lack of drama)
