Elegant she is! Great design to make it your own creation. Well done! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻p.s. wet here too. Bet still on? One storm after another. California keeps getting the wetter end of each storm, so at least we are not flooding like they are.
Hi Valerie... Thank you very much for your kind words... Haha... I don't think that we can compete with the Pacific Nw rainforest for rainfall... Even though we have had quite a lot over the last few weeks... Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy 👍👍
Hi Chris... Thank you very much... I do like to try out an idea using scrap wood 1st... then I know that it will work using my good wood.. Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy
He's a dapper fellow indeed! Beautiful wood grain for his fine feathers. He would occupy a place of honor in my home! I like penguins as much as I like moose. Thank you for sharing your latest addition to the wildlife group. Take care. We'd love some of your rain. 😊
Hi Gwynn... Thank you so much... I'm glad that you liked him... I agree with you about the wood grain... lovely... That Moode is still on my "to do" list... We have had quite a lot of rain over the last few weeks... I'll see what I can do about sending some of our surplus rain over to you in Oregon... Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy
Your Penguin looks great with my coordination that big straining that closer to my hand would make me a little uneasy, but you handled it well and did a great job

Good to see you Andy - and thanks for this video, it's a lovely little project - you put some work into this one! ( Not that you don't usually put the work in of course!) I hope you're keeping well - I look forward to your nest video!
Hi Paul... I'm glad that you liked this project... .yes.. quite a bit of work but well worth it... Very well thank you... I hope that you and yours are all well too... Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy
Elegant indeed! That was very clever, adding bits to make up the beak. I can see that being a very quick seller at a market, but a great deal of work to get it there. Very nicely done!! Cheers, Rick
Hi Rick... Thank you very much... I wanted to use as little wood as possible and it seemed to work out well... I don't think that I could make a profit making these... good presents though... Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy
I am always reminded of those bits flailing around. Usually with a bruised hand or a welt or two. This penguin is definitely different from the others I have seen. I like the nicer upscale look to this one. Although I think the head looks more like a Loon than a penguin. Regardless, a beautiful and unique penguin, well done Andy…
Hi Mathew... Haha.. yes... I kept trying to sand the top of the head until my knuckles got trapped by the beak... We don't get Loon's over here but I have watched "on golden pond" so I know what they look like... And yes probably more like a Loon than a Penguin... Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy
Hi Andy 👋🏻 That was a tricky one, but well done you!!! Lovely penguin, very elegant shape and beautiful grain, would also make for a great jewellery holder on your wife‘s dressing table 👍🏻💡 I was wondering how on earth you were going to turn that head on the lathe 🤔 but after having seen this, I say if you ever get fed up with that general builder thing, open a nail studio, you have certainly got all it takes, the gadgets and more importantly the talent 😉😂 Bravo Andy, terrific video… If you turn a second smaller one, they would look just soooooo lovely on the mantelpiece looking at each other ☺️ Have a great and hopefully somewhat dry Sunday, take care, Andy 🙏🏻👋🏻 Byeee, Jude
Hi Jude... Thank you as always for your lovely comments...I'm glad that you liked it... Jewellery holder... very clever... thinking outside the box as always... Haha...
