I saw her movie "Country Girl" for the first time recently, and in it she plays this homely, rundown wife of an over-the-hill alcoholic Broadway star (Bing Crosby) trying to make a career comeback. Let me tell you, whether it was in that role or on these red carpets, Grace Kelly was stunningly beautiful. And her acting in Country Girl was sensational. I'm not surprised she won an academy award for that performance. Thanks for highlighting her!!
She won an Oscar for that role. Great movie.
@@missywink1504 It was a fantastic movie. My favorite of hers though is High Society with Crosby and Sinatra. I just love when Frank serenades her with his song 'Sensational'. Love, love, love it lol.
Aww, I haven't watched that one yet, but I love all her outings with Alfred Hitchcock!!
@@RoyalFashionNews Rear Window is my favorite Grace Kelly movie as well. I watch everytime it is on.
Grace Kelly had enough star power and beauty that she didn't need a grand tiara. She wears simple beautifully. It's weird that we don't know who made it.
That’s very true!! She was a real beauty!!
That beauty did not require adornment. With that said, her discreet taste in jewelry spoke volumes of her elegance and confidence.
The diamond and sapphire tiara looks gorgeous on Charlene. I love how she wore it. Thanks for presenting some new tiaras for us to see.
Love your series on Royals that do not include H&M. Much enjoyable to watch
Grace truely became the epitome of her name.
Grace Kelly is my favorite royal. I adore her. She exudes elegance. It will forever baffle me that her father saw her as less successful because he looked down on the profession of acting. Rear Window is also my favorite movie. I would love a video about some of her clothing!
Thanks Brittany for doing a segment on princess Grace. Cant wait when you have time to write a book about royal fashion and tiaras.
Now there was a woman who was truly beautiful. 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
She was so beautiful 😻 ❤❤
A true beauty!!
The movie, ‘The Country Girl’ was good, but, I always adored ‘Rear Window’!
Yes, oh my goodness! She was so good in it and her wardrobe was exceptional!
@@RoyalFashionNews : oh yes-the best!
The most stunningly beautiful woman of all time ..love her xx from Toronto
She is really utterly stunning!
Tiara Tuesday (or Wednesday) makes everything better! It’s just like the song in Mary Poppins, “A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.” Looking at beautiful tiaras just makes my week so much better. Thanks Brittany!
it's so strange Monaco has so little jewelery, given they are sooo rich
Princess Grace did not need a large tiara. She was stunningly gorgeous with glowing skin and shining, thick hair. Both tiaras are lovely and were Grace
Bravo Brittany for carry on… We need the distraction. And if anyone hasn’t seen Grace’s movies directed by Alfred Hitchcock, highly recommend for escapism in today’s world.
Oh yes!! She is fabulous in them! Such a great actress!’
I can vividly remember hearing the news of her death and being blindsided by it. Monaco has a lot to thank her for.
I liked this video, particularly because it focuses on tiara rather than gossip. 😊
Yes! That’s what makes it so fun!!
Amen! So tired of ugly speculations
I'm having tiara withdrawals so thank you.
You are so welcome!!
I loved this episode, Brittany!! Like a breath of fresh air after what all the other news right now (you have such a neat niche with this channel). Princess Grace was absolutely beautiful and I love her simple tiaras & jewelry, that necklace is sooo pretty!! I loved seeing all the photos and film footage that you included too. What a wonderful example Princess Grace was as an American becoming royalty. So interesting to learn about the family daughters, daughter-in-law and if/when the jewelry is ever worn now. Thank-you for featuring Grace Kelly, I always look forward to your fun fashion channel!!!
Stunning!
A real beauty!!
The necklace is stunning!!
It really is incredibly beautiful!!
OHHH!!! This is such a delicious part of your work Brittany! l just wish this poor lady didn't die, for everybody's sake ...but especially for Rainier. l was SO SAD for that poor man. :( I pray they're both with our loving, and merciful JESUS. Thanks Brittany! You and Taz did THEEEE BEST vid on the Catherine debacle. Thank You. :)
You are so welcome!! And yes, her death was definitely a tragic loss for sure!
I think Grace Kelly coming from the American Yankee background she did, plus it being in the 60s when she was a young princess, probably didn't feel comfortable wearing large tiaras, so opted for the less "gawdy" ones. I was born the same year as Princess Caroline and more than her mother I was enthralled with Caroline as I grew up. I read any magazine she was on the cover of. I think she has grown to be a very dignified woman.
Both mother, daughter and granddaughter are exceptional beauties!! Thanks for watching!!
@@RoyalFashionNews Caroline's daughter looks just like her!
Yay! I love Tiara Tuesdays! Even though it's Wednesday! Who cares! 😂👑❤
Haha, yes! Tuesday was busier than I anticipated! Thanks for watching!!
Thursday here! 😂😂😂. But agree 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
Princess Grace was so lovely and iconic. I really grew up knowing all about the royals of Monaco & envying their lifestyles. They filled the magazines when I was a teen. Now, I can’t quite remember all their names and who married who and which children belonged to which. Definitely not who the children married, etc. Isn’t that odd? Makes me feel old. Thank you Brittany for this lovely remembrance of Princess Grace! ♥️ Jessica
I was surprised when I saw Princess Grace dressed in black when she met the Pope. As a Catholic sovereign, she could have exercised the "Privilege du blanc", but she didn't. Since then, Princess Charlene did so when she met Pope Benedict and then later Pope Francis. I think Princess Grace was absolutely beautiful and regal way before she became a princess. My favorites of her movies are "Rear Window" and "To Catch a Thief". I've always also found strange that Princess Stephanie has never worn a tiara, at least not to my knowledge. I hope little Princess Gabriella brings it back!
I love grace she was so beautiful, elegant and regal
,, so sorry she died do young.
The catholic spouses of reigning catholic monarchs MAY go in white to see the Pope. However, they oftentimes do it wearing black on one occasion and then again white on the next. Princesse Charlene went several times wearing white and then she went wearing black in between. The same happened to other catholic queens, like Sofia of Spain and Greece, Letizia of Spain, Mathilde of the Belgians, or Maria Teresa of Luxembourg. In modern times, this strict dress code has been lifted, and so we could even see Queen Camilla (then still The Duchess of Cornwall) visiting Pope Francis in a cream-coloured dress. That would have not been allowed many years back, as non-catholic queens (or other ladies of high rank) had to wear black to see the pope. In the 1950/60s they even had to wear tiaras and long gowns for such a visit. Tiara wearing had been abolished for quite some time now, and in the meantime you can come and see the Pope in whatever you deem appropriate. Btw, and funnily on this subject, a tiara is normally meant to be the crown of the Pope, solely and exclusively. All else (bejewelled hair decoration in form of a circlet or half-circlet) should be called diadem instead. The word tiara came more and more into use for the last 50 or so years, although, technically speaking, it is the wrong term for this type of head/hair piece.
I love Grace Kelly!! She was always my idol and inspiration when it came to style and elegance.
No tiara could have competed with the sheer beauty of Grace. Thank you for the snippets of rarely seen footage.
We don't count the carats - we count the centuries. Sounds logic. I love it.
Grace bella!!
A true beauty!!
She was an interesting person. Lots of mistique around her. Such a lovely vision. Thanks for the video!
Love Grace Kelly. Such elegance. Rear window is my favorite also.
Why didn’t her mother in law let her wear the tiaras? Also why didn’t her husband have tiaras made for his wife, being that his mum didn’t share? Very nice video!
Grace Kelly was one of THE most beautiful women of her time, and she relied on her natural beauty rather than large, glamorous tiaras. She did wear spectacular dresses, but that was more a necessity of the times than her personal preference.
Having followed the Grimaldi for more than 5 decades now, I think they are generally quite modest when it comes to jewels, putting quality before quantity, and presenting a unique, never-failing taste.
And, Grace Kelly, as well as her daughters and granddaughters, are some of the most beautiful women ever, naturally, not much cosmetic surgery there.
Agreed! They don’t do tiaras often, so it’s always a treat to seem them in them for sure!!
My favorite actress EVER. REAR WINDOW still incredible. One of most beautiful women EVER
she was so beautiful
Her mother in law and sister in law were just plain nasty and jealous of her which they passed on to Caroline who is now doing the same thing to Charlene. Wish Charlene would wear tiaras but I guess after 13 years she doesn't feel it's necessary
My style icon💜💜
What a horrible mil! It’s nice that she thought of her granddaughters, especially if Albert got all.
p.s. Would a trip to Monaco be a good option or possibility with your subscriber's group someday? I'm dreaming for sure--but maybe someday?!!!
A beautiful actress turned Princess! An absolute fairytale! She married her prince!
Brittany the Tiara that was wear Princess Grace of Mónaco is beautiful.
Can we please get a video about Monaco’s Cartier Pearl Drop Tiara? Would love that!❤
These tiaras are rather underwhelming considering the wealth of Monaco. However Grace Kelly was the star that shown the brightest. R.I.P. Beautiful lady. I love her films. Yes, Rear Window is one of my all time favorites. Love Jimmy Stewart and her clothing in that film is stunning.
Princess Grace was a tiera of her own.She herself was a large jewl of her own.No piece of jewelry could or can come close .She wore all her jewelry in unique style. She was the best and nobody can or will ever take her place in life or death.
Hmm, disappointing. The first tiara is modest and lovely but you can hardly notice it. I appreciate the flexibility of the second but wow, that is ugly. Like 3 crystals just growing out of her head.
😂😂😂
I didn't know that. Charlotte was splitting from her husband... That's sad... And hopefully we will see more of this jewelry on display in the future. It doesn't seem like Charlene likes to wear jewelry too much. I agree with you.
She's already been spotted with another man. Of all Caroline's children she seems to be the most unstable when it comes to relationships whereas her brothers marriages seem solid.
@@khalikat2894 Thank you for the information... I know she was with a guy for a while who is quite a bit older than her. I think he was a French actor or something and she has one child with him. And then she started dating this guy I think. But they only got married just a couple years ago, didn't they? I wonder if she's just not finding the right one for her or if she's maybe just a little picky? Anyway, thank you so much for your kind reply
Very interesting video. Again!
Princess Caroline has worn The Bains de Mer but only as brooches. I'm wondering if Monaco has certain jewels that are only to be worn by a blood royal.
Some tiaras can be "unlocked" from its semicircular headband base, this being able to be worn as a necklace.
The Monaco twins were born by ceasarian section and Gabriella was pulled out first. But Jacques has always been the larger twin so in nature he would've been born first. So by nature he would've been the heir too.
What a shame she only had such unimpressive tiaras.☹️👑
I thought the family were in debt until Grace married into them that they lived in Graces money but Grace made changes to correct the debt but I could obviously be wrong though !!
Brittany, I'm curious to hear you talk about famous tiaras confirmed or believed lost for good. The Russian collection would be amazing had they not been ripped apart after the Soviet takeover.
Such a shame such an exquisite beauty had such weak tiaras- imagine what she could have done with something like the Cambridge Lover's Knot?
~Hilarious the look Prince Rainier is giving her at 2:38, like " You're the reigning Princess of Monaco and this is the tiara we gave you?" Lol
Grace Kelly grew more beautiful with age.
Charlene wears very expensive jewels but never those inherited from Albert's mother only those bought by her husband. It's maybe difficult for Albert to see those pieces attached to her mother's memory on his wife. Psychoanalytic explanation.
I am Her Serene Highness Grace Patricia Kelly.
How many Tierras did Grace Kelly have
Princely, NOT royal...
She was a beautiful women, so sad she had to die so young🥲
caroline know albert is a complete mess so of course the jewelry will stay within the real fam.
Brittany I love your videos. However PRACTICE on your French pronunciation. 😂😂😂
I will try!
Please learn how to pronounce French words especially "Cartier"!
And Bains de Mer Tiara or Bains de Mer Societé. And Philippe Junot (first husband of Princess Caroline) whose name was butchered to something like "Jymant" here. I've told her ever so often.
@@dorisschneider-coutandin9965 exactly. I wonder since she is historian it should come with the territory
