I LOVE Maxima. She's never afraid to look royal. Also she seems like she has a good sense of humor, or is maybe a tad crazy. Either way, I'm all for it.
Terrific video, Brittany! Loved the history behind the tiaras. The bandeau tiara is beautiful in its simplicity but that Stuart Tiara-Wow! It’ a stunner. Thank you.
What sweet words HM said about his Queen in his state dinner speech. I love hearing other monarchs of countries where English isn't the primary language speak with their natuve accent. Queen Maxima wasone of my mom's favorite European royals. 8 love Queen Margarethe of Denmark's quote about diamonds 💎, she said , "We don't count carats , we count the centuries", and yes I realized that audio is present on these videos.
Yes, I love that comment and the statement from Queen Margrethe!! It's just so incredible! There's also a great quote from Queen Silvia on how the Cameo Tiara is fragile, just like a marriage. I love it!!
Emma's husband gifted a HUGE amount of jewelry on his young wife as wedding presents. As you mentioned, he was 40 years older than her and had three sons in line to the throne, so he knew she would long outlive him, and everyone thought that any children she might have would basically be nonentities. He was very grateful to Emma for being willing to marry him, and as a result spoiled her quite a bit in the jewelry department. Frankly, I think the Dutch are the only European royal family that can rival the British when it comes to royal jewelry collections, and truth be told, I think the Dutch have the better collection of tiaras. These are both stunners. Fun fact about William and Mary: obviously, as an English princess, Mary lived the first 15 years of her life in England. When, at 15, she married the short, unattractive, asthmatic William of Orange, she wasn't initially thrilled. She DID, however, adore her new country. When the Glorious Revolution took place and she returned to England to share the throne with her husband, part of her was happy to return to her homeland, but she was immensely sad to leave Holland, a place that had become a true home to her, and the Dutch people, whom she deeply loved, and who loved her. Thanks for the video!
The Dutch diamond is my all time favorite. Personally, I feel so many tiaras are just overdone and gaudy. This one is a simpler design, but has the wow factor. Just love it.
The pink one, or the blue? The pink dress is actually my favorite of all of her gowns. She purchased a bolt of heavily embroidered fine pink silk while on a state visit to India not long after her wedding, and eventually had it made into that absolutely stunning one-shouldered gown. She wore it, I believe for the first time, on a return visit to India a few years ago, after W-A became king. I love, love, love it!
Hi Brittany, thankyou for the video, I always love tiara Tuesdays as I am a huge fan of the bling myself!! I especially love the the gorgeous Bandeau what a beautiful row of diamonds that is and I love the way it sparkles. Queen Maxima never disappoints with her bling and do rather envy her access to so much of it too! can you imagine having access to so many beautiful jewels? Lucky Maxima. Thanks again for the great video I will see you on Saturday where I tend to lurk rather than join the chat but I always enjoy the streams, Best wishes to you and Miss Pippa from my family here in the Uk.
Thank you for the fantastic video!!! WOW!! The Stewart tiera is absolutely stunning!! Looking at ALL of the diamonds Queen Maxima wears they are all so beautiful!! I would love to see all of that sparkle in person!
All health concerns aside, I do wish the Uk royals would have more tiara events like the state dinners now that Buckingham Palace has renovated that part. Queen Camilla has worn some lovely jewellery lately & I would love to see Catherine, Princess of Wales wear more of everything in the vaults! 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Me too!! They just don't do as many as the other royals, which is a shame. I think Queen Elizabeth started that a bit as they pulled back on those engagements and the times changed a bit. But I love that the foreign royals have massive birthday parties with tiaras when certain milestones are reached. It's so fun!!
Lovely! I would really, really love to have the bandeau!!! The Stuart diamond is a bit too big. Just kidding!! I just really love the bandeau. So simple. Such crystal clear stones! I know blue is better, but I like bright ice white. You’re up late tonight Brittany. Thank you so much! Love from way over here in Oregon! ♥️ Jessica 🇺🇸♥️🇬🇧🏴☘️ & Wales
Thanks Brittany, Yet another wonderfully illuminating Tiara video! Please keep them coming as I love learning about the jem's the different Royals have. If you have the time (I know you are busy) could you please showcase some of the brooches, necklaces and earrings of the Royal families? Please feel free to focus on Queen Maxima and Princess Catherine of Wales as I adore both women!
That Stuart Tiara...just exquisite! Even though they are young women now, can you imagine the fun that it has been and still is for Her Majesty to play dress up with her three daughters?💗
What I really love about your jewelry videos is that you include lots of historical and gemological information. PS My favorite is also the bandeau tiara.
@@RoyalFashionNews You’re so informed beyond your years on this subject. Especially since you’re American 🇺🇸 like me. Some of us are obsessed with European royalty and history. 🩷
The Stuart tiara is a perfect example of adaptability of the Dutch royal jewels. It can be worn in four iterations. Marvellous! I love Queen Maxima’s obvious delight in using the royal jewels in fresh ways. Aside: May I respectfully mention one tiny misnomer? There was a caption added toward the end of this video, concerning Swedish tiaras with a French connection. The caption read “Swedish Steel Cut Tiara”. I used that name for quite a while until I was corrected by someone saying “oats are steel cut, Napoleonic steel tiaras are cut steel”. So, it’s the Swedish Cut Steel Tiara. (Because the steel is cut). Last thought: the Dutch Diamond Bandeau is timeless and will never look dated. 😍
Ha ha, it's funny hearing you describe the Bandeau as a starter tiara, which is something that never occurred to me. Also, how does the magnificent Stuart Tiara stay fastened on the head, without the weight of it pulling out one's hair, and possibly falling off? Thank you for your video ;)
Depends on the construction of the tiara. Sometimes it needs to be sown in, utilizing the hair to sustain it, but it could also relatively set pretty well without much help. Again, it all depends on how the tiara is constructed and how well it sits on the head. Thanks for watching!!
@@jonasviking9768 You took my comment waaaaay out of context. I happen to be a fan of Queen Maxima btw. I simply meant that it would look even better on someone with dark hair so that it could be better seen. I think you really need a hobby, good day .
My family has a great and long relationship with a jeweler. I've been considering asking them to make us a small tiara. I really liked the one from frozen. Our jeweler really listens to his customers when it comes to custom design and we have lots of items in our family that you can't find anywhere else.
@RoyalFashionNews yup. My daughter was princess for a year for an international organization, one of the lodges. We were given a box of crowns that she could wear. My mom took one look and said that they were all damaged. So we went shopping. They were all the inexpensive homecoming princess crowns. My dad hopped on the internet to search for a "nice" crown for her. She admitted that he spoiled her as the only granddaughter. We found one local and kept it afterwards, gave the box back.
BrIttany, meanwhile for Pearl enthusists - watch any movie w/Diane Keaton in it, she's a distinct Actress obviously, but keep your eyes on the Pearls in each and every movie she makes. But anyway, we ought share jewelry from Our Families. I think it would be fun. - Yours Truly from, Portland, Oregon. Just a suggestion for kicks.
Very interesting! I actually have a list of Catherine's pearl jewelry from the Queen that I'll do in a separate video in the future! Thanks for watching!!
I love your videos. I could well do with the simple yet gorgeous diamond tiara. Thank you for all the efforts and research put into your fashion and tiara videos. Great content 🤩

Sincerely yours, Portland, Oregon.
Aww, that's a great idea!! I haven't thought of that! Many have family jewels that have survived throughout the years that would be fun to explore! Thanks for watching!!
I think the Dutch Diamond Bandeau is something I would actually be comfortable wearing! As for the Stuart Tiara, that blue diamond is stunning. But wasn't a kind of rubbing the Brits noses in it to wear it there after how contentious it was after it left Britain?
The wearing of jewelry with a link to the country you are visiting during a state visit is seen as a mark of respect. Most royal jewelry of substantial age has traveled through several royal vaults by marriage or inheritance over the years.
@@jonasviking9768 Yes I understand that that is usually the case. But with this particular blue diamond the link seems kind of contentious and maybe wearing it there could be seen as gloating. Not that I think the current Royal Family would see it that way, but just as a matter of decorum I would think it wouldn't be worn there.
I understand where you are coming from with the argument that the history of this particular stone and it’s history. But let’s not forget that this is not the first time this particular tiara has been worn for a state visit to Britain. The Dutch Queen Juliana donned the Stuart Tiara for a state visit at Windsor in 1972. The “claim” for the Stuart was seen as more than a bit strange back in 1702. It was made by the sister of the original owner who had left her entire estate to her husband and on his passing he left all of his personal property (including the jewelry of his former wife) back to the House of Orange. Still to this day it would be considered strange to say the least to try and get your hands on the property of your brother in law upon his passing. So to say that the British Royal Family would be miffed by the wearing of this particular piece of jewelry,is basically the same as calling them petty. When it comes to the etiquette and rules concerning what is proper to wear for any occasion I think all of the royal household’s of Europe have far more knowledge than any of us watching this channel.

Queen Maxima is very classy and wears tiaras so well. She is also a fashion icon.
I just love how queen Maxime pairs those large diamond earrings with the diamomd bandeu.
Yes!! They were taken from the Stuart Tiara, which is very versatile!
