Ears are Prickd explores the tragic effects of low self esteem & how dark humour is used as a coping mechanism.

Freddie was a window cleaner studying philosophy on the side
Playing in a local band, his girlfriend was having their first child.
Freddie used for recreation till it took him in the night poor Freddie.
Davy worked in advertising though his heart dropped out long before he was left a house by a spinster auntie and very quickly blew it up.
He left the gas on during football, fell asleep and never rose, poor Davy, poor Dave.

Seamie sang a song for Ireland in the doorway of the Cobblestone
It failed to meet the expectations so he retired for the road
Headed low tucked into shoulders, can't be seen to sadly show poor Seamie. No shame.
I am on a magic wagon travelling to another town
Maybe there I'll hear more stories about some other unfortunate young men
