I love that you show the entire process, even the parts that don't work out. It shows that even if something doesn't work out along the way you can still make something fabulaous.
If you ever try something like this again, try looking at the sculptable foam. I know cosplayers like kamui cosplay have used it before. You would probably be able to skip the silicon completely
The only problem with sculptable foam is that it isn't very flexible so it would only work in areas where there isn't a lot of movement. Sculptable foam had some awesome uses though, I used it to cover my prosthetic leg to give it a more realistic shape.

as a big purple fan I'm surprised by how much I love the orange! I voted for purple on instagram but the orange came out really fun and i love the contrast with the red. i think i might like the orange more but they're both SO fun! I think these and your belle shoes have been some of my favorite projects of yours over the last couple years :)

if you ever wanna sculpt again for a project, I heavily suggest Milliput! It's a type of clay that, once it hardens, it'll be rock hard! You'll get two tubes of it, you have to mix these two different clays of Milliput together, two equal sized blobs, once they are molded together they should be one color instead of two colors, no streaks, spots, etc, then you can start using it! It's best for smaller objects though as once they're molded together it'll start hardening, it hardens in three to four hours, highly suggest this stuff, I use it a lot and it's really nice!

If you have the opportunity to plant milkweed that is native to your region, do so! There's a company that if you mail them a self-addressed envelope with postage attached, they will send you back the appropriate seeds for your area at no additional cost.

omg so cute, i liked them both about the same honestly. the purples i feel like i would wear more, but i also appreciate the warm colors of the other, and i really like the gradient/combo colors. makes me wonder what purple/teal would have looked like. this was super awesome, thank you!!!
So creative, I love the ingenuity of attaching the tentacles to tights, it looks seamless, like they are actually stuck to your leg. Personally I prefer the orange, which is not to say that the purple doesn't also look cool ^_^

Item idea: Shoes of the deep: While the octopus is part of the shoe you have a swim speed of 15ft and can breathe underwater or As an action you can detach the octopi from both shoes, they become familiars for one hour. If they die while not attached they are teleported back to the shoe and cannot be re-used until you finish a long rest
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how much effort she puts into these arts and crafts like Arts and crafts for like 5 minutes and then just give up it seems like she did it for like 2 weeks or more!

My niece is extra obsessed with monster High. She loved them when she was younger, she is in H.S now and when they brought back the dolls thats all she could talk about.
I love both of those so much, they're both amazing, but if i had to pick, i'd pick the orange/red ones, they're very expressive and just pretty to look at, but as you said the purple ones have a more Ursula vibe to them, overall, these were amazing! Keep up the great work!
You should totally make a babydoll style dress with an octopus theme to go with the shoes! Maybe the sleeves could resemble an octopus as well? (I’m no seamstress but I think it would look super cool, especially with the shoes!)

These are amazing, omg- monster high shoe REAL??? For that reason, I like the orange better- the color shift at the edge of its tentacles to red is much more colorful, and reminds me of a Monster High doll outfit I had as a kid.
These are super cool! But I really like the paintjob more on the orange octopus, the color blending of red and orange makes them feel more expensive compared to the plain-purple and black look

The purple has this deep water mystic vibe, while the orange/red has a more coral theme. I honestly can't decide which one is better!
