I noticed that in the corners of your domino's, there are some bubbles that made it look like the corners are chipped.
The way I stop that from happening is to take a makeup brush, dip it lightly into baby powder, lightly coat every part of the mold and then tap it once or twice to get the excess powder out.
Then pour the resin, and spray a light mist of alcohol over the top part.
It COMPLETELY stops that error from happening ♥️
Also, I hope you didn't take that as me being rude. I just love to help and spread the little bits of info I've learned while doing resin art ♥️♥️♥️
Im having lots of bubble holes in the corners and its driving me crazy, so using baby powder in the mold works first? doesnt it attach to the resin? HELP ME PLEASE!!!
@@emilyadanet3646 OMG! YES! I made a full set yesterday and was very disappointed to find micro holes in the sides of my dominos, and had to throw away 14 dominoes that came out sticky to the touch. I am viewing as many resin videos I can, to perfect my sets. I wish you lots of luck as well.

Do you wear a mask when pouring? I was going to do this in my garage for better ventilation but it's now 30° farenheit and I'm worried about the curing process in this cold.. I'm wondering if I can pour in my office and then do the sanding in my garage?
What did you put on the front of a dominoes to make them glossy?

Takes 24 hours to cure but completely finish a few days.

I add a lot of glitter so it fills up the resin

hi any tips im having issues with the resin my dominoes after 2 or 3 days still bendy .i done it before the dominoes came out fine n hard but now i dnt know im gettig ready to give up, i have that same mold i use dr crafty
Hi there! I see no one has replied to you yet, I'm no expert but I have used resin for my tumblers and I notice if I'm off even by a itty bit on the measurements will cause it not to cure properly as well at the rt room temp. Try sitting them outside in the sun over 85 degrees and see if that will work. Good Luck!
I have a real problem when I make dominos. No matter how much time I spend making sure all the bubbles are gone, I always end up with little chips out of the front of some of the dominos. Any thoughts on how to resolve that ?

These are gorgeous! You’ve inspired me to give it a try. I just have a couple questions.
1. I see you’re pouring the resin out of cups, do you think it would be easier on a beginner to put the resin in one of those squirt jars?
2. What sanding pad do you use?
3. If you make these for a guy and they don’t want the rhinestone what would you personally use to make the dots stand out? Paint pen? Acrylic paint? I appreciate your thoughts!! Thank you 💕

-You can use squirt bottles, it’s still messy in my opinion.
-I use different sand pads but like to stay in the 200 grit size.
-I would just use regular acrylic paint. You can use a dotting tool to apply it or a paint brush also.
Can you add the uv resin on the top after all the embellishments are placed for a smooth finish.
They look awesome!! I have a domino mold and I usually fill up a cavity or two when I have leftover epoxy lol I haven’t done a whole set yet! But thanks for sharing the amount you need, I might just have to make a full set finally lol 😆 ❤️
This video was great! I do have a few questions and clarifications.
Once you sand the edges they look dull... Is there a step in between to make it Shiney or will the second coat of resin do that for you?
Once the second back layer of resin is cured, they look Shiney and pretty but not completely flat with some rises and and falls especially around the edges, is that normal and expected?

Thank you! Most customer choose the bag option when I ask because it’s cheaper but you can find cute boxes on Amazon that can hold them.
Why not use a paint brush for the uv resin and then let it level out the brush strokes and hit it! That’s what I do for my keychains

If u have to sand both the front and back do u still use the fast setting resin on both sides...just wait for 1 side to dry? I'm Having issues shining both sides after sanding

WELL, YOU NEVER MENTIONED WHETHER OR NOT YOU PREPARED YOUR MOLDS... AND YOU DIDN'T MENTION THAT THERE IS A RESIN YOU CAN USE THAT IS SO SAFE THAT CHILDREN CAN USE IT AND IS IS FOOD GRADE. VIDEO WAS TOO FAST
I don’t prep my molds if I did I would have mentioned it. Resin is a 2 part curing chemical which releases VOCs. While very low with the one I use it is always best to use proper PPE. I don’t usually recommend to have children around resin. Just my opinion.

Depending on the mold you buy it should tell you how much resin you need. There are 120ml molds and 150ml molds. Both give different sizes of dominoes

If I want to just turn the resin a color without glitter wat do I use Food coloring?
You would use acrylic paint or resin paste mixed in resin. You can also use alcohol inks
I have a hard time measuring the correct amount of resin for dominoes. I always make way too much . How much resin if doing two different colors? How much resin for one color? Also it’s hard to tell when enough glitter is enough and dark enough so the dots won’t show through the back how much glitter should be added? Please help!
Hi Kimberly! Thank you for asking this question. An easy way to measure how much resin you need for your mold is to fill it up with water and see how much it takes. That will tell you how much resin you need. As far as glitter goes it’s hard to say how much you’ll need since it will vary with the type of glitter you use. I like to add enough so that when I pick my stir stick up the glitter covers it.

I love this video of your work! can you please share how to not get micro holes in the dominos? I measured accurately 1:1 ratio, and stirred resin for 2-3 minutes, before pouring it into molds.
