    Great, mr Weeks! In 82--88 I was a student of Kharkiv aerospace univercity (in Ukraine) and remember your name from that times. Now I watch your channel wiith great pleasure as a pro scale modeller and former aviation engineer. Good luck for you!

    I got to see Kermit at NAS Lemoore performing 15 vertical rolls about this year. My neck was sore from looking so far up for so long. I always remember it being I was about 16 years old and just in awe. Aviation was just wonderful back then.

    I watched Mr Weeks and all the competitors from USA aerobatic team who were practicing at Strathallan Airfield Scotland in July 1986.
    Kermit’s Black Weeks Solution was simply mind blowing.
    Chatted to Gene Beggs polishing his aircraft.
    Great display of professional pilots.

    It's great hearing Art Scholl's voice in this video. I was on set for the movie "Top Gun" for several months. It was sad that he died when his plane went down when during filming. This hard to believe it's been 34 years ago now. Great flying Kermit.

    • @KurgerBurger
      @KurgerBurger 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Me too! My dad was a Pennzoil distributor so whenever Art would come to town in his Chipmunk I got to help with ground crewing. Once I held one of the poles with the line he'd cut with his vertical stab while inverted, great memories! THE WORST job for a 13-15 year old was hand cranking that engine!

Thank you all for embracing Amos when he was his over-zealous self (and I say that fondly) . He so loved the sport and all of you. With Kind Regards......

    bought a old abused r/c weeks solution, I was never much into biplanes, but back in the 80's saw a old guy flying 70-80" scale Weeks Solutions- the models sure looked impressive... finally got one, got reading about them, was cool reading about Kermit and his planes- and that he is still building and flying :) eager to get this old 'solution' back in the air- its a 70" 55cc, weighs 14 pounds

    Great fun to watch, and man, you were not squeamish about negative turns, negative push to climbs at surprising moments (the best evasion maneuver when anyone is on your six), and the rolling turns were slow and beautiful... wow. Great performance, and thanks for your lifelong investment into aviation, and aviation education. Fair Winds and don't ever stop.

    • @davidbostock6776
      @davidbostock6776 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ripmax333 Just FYI.
      Ultimate Aircraft is/was? a Canadian manufacture of aerobatic biplanes. The red/white/blue plane with Linda Meyers name on it was built by Kermit Weeks it is the Weeks Special. The black plane was also built by him and is called the Weeks Solution. For increased maneuverability planes are designed less stable. Both planes are probably more tricky to fly than a Pitts Special and demand full attention.

    • @scotabot7826
      @scotabot7826 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a Ultimate. Both highly modified Pitt's. Called the Weeks Special and Weeks Solution.
