- Hello Warband enthusiasts! Today I went over my top five favorite total conversion singleplayer mods for Mount & Blade: Warband. New to the game or just trying to kill time for the wait of Bannerlord? Total conversion mods can turn a dull game back into a new game.
Let me know if you did or did not enjoy the video, and how I can improve if applicable!
Also the mods covered in this video are only on the Steam workshop, but likely on moddb as well. I may do a separate video for other great mods that aren't on the Steam workshop.

Just a heads-up... these are some of the greatest mods on STEAM at the time of making this video. I know there are other great mods on moddb, so I may eventually cover those in another video!
Perisno, Prophecy of Pendor, A world of ice and fire, Brytenwalda, Star Wars Conquest, Nova Aethas and some more.... love it! Now... when Bannerlord hits the stores and the Devs release the modding kit.... oohh... all the wonderful Mods ... I see them coming.
Phantasy is pretty good too. It's the same map as base game, but there are more factions of fantasy races and a whole magic system has been added with necromancy and spells that let you bombard castles with fireballs, storms of magic missiles and even a spell that creates chaos in the enemy ranks which makes part of their forces flee from battle, some just wonder around in confusion and some that get converted to your troops so that they all fight each other. It's really fun to be a mage, not to mention role play as the Night King and extinguish all life with an army of the dead. Think of it as revenge for season 8 if you didn't like it. 0_0
Too bad Bannerlord was such a re-skinned let down

Havel the Rock was gonna comment the same thing but I wanted to Look thru the comments to make sure I didn't say it if someone else did, and you did which makes me feel good because I absolutely love prophesy of pendor!!! anyway ya try it out people!!!
I loved it untill half my men died in a really hard fight vs 80 knight bandits and after I beat them I had to fight 2 of theri survivors..........welll yeah I only got the loot for the two guys :C
well I maybE not loved it anymore but keept on playing and then the companions I bought for a lot of money whom I gave a lot of my better equipment started to go "I want to do sumting else lulz bye"
so I stopped playing fuckgin half my money investments went out the fuckgin window the option to jsut say you kill deserteurs in ACOC is probably the best thing ever
+Pedda ZZ Yep. I hate that about most mods. Dumping a lot of money on companions, only to have them fight with each other and then leave. I also don't like how the shops are practically worthless, generating such a small amount of money. I love Perisno, but it's so poorly optimized that it runs like absolute shit on my new PC. If only it was optimized like Pendor, it'd be the best IMO.
Fuck that mod, it consumed my life for hundreds of hours :(
Fuck Prophesy of Pendor, the units and bandits are so imbalanced you get fucked up if you join the wrong faction. Especially if you play on hardest difficulty like I often do.
This channel is gonna boom when Bannerlord comes out.

Great! My favorite has been 1257AD for so long.
During such videos it would be lovely if you could show the maps as well, since they are such a big part of a mod. You just gained a sub anyway!
And BTW, Swarnabhumi Mahayudh is a Sanskrit name. The spellings have been changed maybe because it's pronounced like that in the mod creators country. But here in India, where ancient Sanskrit is still taught, it's pronounced as Sw'a'rnh - Bhoomi Mahaa (as in the Hindu epic 'Mahabharat') - Yudh. Here's the meaning - Swarn: Gold. Bhumi: Land. Maha: Great. Yudh: War. So that makes it 'Great War for the Land of Gold' or 'Great War for the Golden Land'. :-)

great video! straight to the point and well informed! My only criticism is that your audio for your mic is extremely trebly to the point it's uncomfortable to listen to at times. Other than that, I love this video.
PoP and Persino is one of my favorites, theres also Floris which i played long time ago, Gekokujo is also really nice. the only thing i dislike about some of these mods that they have some balancing issues like incredibly overpowered "bandits/roamer factions"
Yeeeeeah suvarnabhumi gets some recognition! How many other mods let you create your own faction with completely custom units?
Prophecy of Pendor is a definite must. Well optimized and has fantasy setting with some unique elements, one of the toughest mods. I have about 1400 hrs of singleplayer game in Warband and this one is imho the best. Also "Warsword Conquest", which is in a poor release state but offers a great setting for those that enjoy Total War Warhammer at the moment.
What about 1257AD an Clash of kings?
Haven't played both honestly so I can't say, but I may make another video covering other great mods :)
1257 AD has probably the largest map by far with some unique features
Why everyone talks about Clash of Kings but not about A World of Ice and Fire that is literally the same mod but way better with all the characters from the books. ACOK doesn't even have Daenerys or Joffrey or anyone really.

In Star Wars conquest how do you get the names above your troops head to identify who's on your team or not

I agree that Gekokujo, Last Days of the Third Age, (and also Prophesy of Pendor) are the very best I have played so far.

Nobody ever talks about the A New Dawn mod, it's absolutely amazing.
try imperial rome mod. got some bugs but its really fun and it has some small but great features.
you ned to try out "imperial rome" but its quite dificult to install it correct (old warband version +WSE-Loader as far as i recall) so all added features (catapults, chariots, pets, etc ...) work in the game.
Did they rename Bellum Imperii? Or is it not on Steam Workshop?
If you still haven't tried warsword conquest, try it.
When I open the game, for The Last Days of the Third Age, it keep crashes, even though it is downloaded, can someone help me?
When you launch Warband and select a module, trying going to the options > video and checking "Load textures on demand" I'm not sure if that will make it work but you can try as that's what I do when mods crash and it usually works.
Swc and TLD are my two favorites
You should check out Nova Aetas some time. awesome mod with things I have seen no where else, such as colonization and crafting.
I've had it for a while but never played, in the process of trying it now though :D

I agree with you. Perisno has the best items variety and shape also the best troops and more battle options.
I tried to find mod relative to perisno but I didn't find.

Bannerlord in early access and I'm still playing Warband mods.
I think a "Bannerlord" mod will be created on Warband before Bannerlord itself will be finished :p

Great job! Another one you might want to look at is Sands of Faith.
I've tried so hard in mount and blade games to use bridges as choke points, like in one of these mods, it never works, i think its because ranged attack speed and target aquisition is slow for npcs.
as for the mods the sengoku one looks much better graphics wise at least.

what would you say is the best musket based mod?
For singleplayer, I'd either say L'Aigle or Suvarnabhumi Mahayuth, although SM is less gunpowder based, but in general has quite a few gunpowder units and L'Aigle is still in development and last I played it didn't feel very completed. For multiplayer I'm not sure as I honestly don't play many multiplayer mods.

Why don't you use Steam? That's what I use and it works fine.
Just some friendly advice, great video but try to relax and sound more formal with your delivery - it's like I can tell you're reading from a script as if you're a Wikipedia page.

Takatschun banane yes its for the original mount and blade. its called the revenge of the berserk mod. its very good. its also a total conversion. you can get it off nexus mods and also read all the threads and and stuff when you get it.

Yes you can, you need to gain influence with the faction, and then speak with the military guy at any location. It's a different way of recruiting but it certainly works

Got some real good games there, most of your top played are exactly the same as my top played haha, terraria, M&B, civ 5 and shogun are all great... But how did you get that many hours on Unturned?!

No "Japanese like games" but "Japanese history", since Japanese games can and will be interpretated as anime stuff and J-RPGs. Gekokujo is my favorite M&B mod so far.

Comparatively, if one would want to compare, Resonant as 11k subs and 2.6 million total views, with his highest performing video having 145k views.
Ironhawk has 18k subs and 3.5 million views
Considering that, my view/sub ratio vs theirs, both of which make similar videos to mine, then the ratio is quite similar at my smaller scale.
Just the way TH-cam works unfortunately, not everyone has a TH-cam account and necessarily wants to subscribe even if they do.
