    Thanks again for these lectures but can you please guide us how to cover the sociology 2nd paper ? , I'm aiming for 2024 and for 1st paper you've told us Haralombus + Running notes but what to do/how to approach for 2nd paper ?

    • @kaarwan-e-upsc

      Read Ignou+ eg-pathshala sociology (very selectively for topics mentioned in syllabus) + add current/recent examples + lecture class notes of any particular coaching which matches your frequency.

    thank u so much sir for wonderful explaination , sir i have a doubt - sir u says that dol is division of complex work into simple work and it leads to specialization , but at 1:00:45 u have written that dol - complex and specialized , i think it should be simple and specialized sir

    • @kaarwan-e-upsc
      @kaarwan-e-upsc  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's correct dear... It is complex and specialised DOL!!

    sir according to comte complexDOL is cause of modernfrench society [ rampant individualism ] but I R was cause of Complex DOL so was comte against IR also. in his own theory he says about postivist stage (science domination).] also says change is irreversible
    Sir was he contradicting from his own theory and sir did comte write regarding this in his later phase of life after falling in love ?

    • @kaarwan-e-upsc
      @kaarwan-e-upsc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dear.... Could you rephrase your question in more simple terms.... I am not able to understand your query!!!

    • @Akshay00911
      @Akshay00911 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kaarwan-e-upsc sir according to August comte complex Division of Labour is the cause of rampant indivdualism , autonomous society , no link between man and society but sir complex Division of Labour is due to industrial revolution and comte favours change he talks about positivistic society.sir he glorifies positivity stage and he is against complex Division of Labour
      So sir does August comte contradicts from his views of law of three stages.and sir is these views of {old comte} [after divorce and falling in love]

    • @kaarwan-e-upsc
      @kaarwan-e-upsc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Akshay00911 As I mentioned in the lecture, the time period during which Comte was writing, he was standing at the cusp of transitionary state from Metaphysical stage to Positivist Stage (Social Dynamics- crisis, chaos and confusion due to contradictory set of values).... So the Positivist stage has not arrived yet FULLY Or it has not matured .. . Infact, if you would remember, I gave this as one of the critics of Comte, whereas on the one hand, he claimed to be an empiricist and data/fact driven but on the other hand, he is imagining what would positivist stage be rather than describing as it actually is..... He is saying these are the teething problems of Modernity... And once Positivist stage gets fully developed, these will be eradicated
      Also link it to the Concept of Anomie and Anomic DOL in Durkheim... Both of them are not against IR and Modernity... In fact, they have recognised these problems and want to reform the society (as I told that is the purpose of sociology as per comte and to some extent also durkheim).... Whereas Marx proposed a different solution and want to overthrow the capitalist society through revolution (reform is not useful as per him) .... Also link it to weber who criticised the above thinkers for Social preachers having an agenda whereas a sociologist should be a value researcher and not a social priest and should be driven by value-relevance/neutrality.

      @@kaarwan-e-upsc thank u sir for such a nice explanation . I was not able to link comte view on I R and his love towards postivist stage. But now i have understood...
