Yea but the dress needs to have enough allowance in order to pass through.

You mean about 2 - 3 inches allowance, right?
I made one bubu butterfly gown one time and added only I inch allowance and neck 3.5 wide (on fold) and about 4 inches deep, and I was surprised how I was able to wear it and it just fits perfectly. My measurement was free though.
