That little Ross’s goose is adorable. Don’t think I’ve ever heard of a friendly swan before 😮 (due to past experiences, I much prefer to admire swans from a distance!).
I've had a couple of quarrels with swans before! This one is quite funny. She will follow you closely but will pout when she thinks she isn't getting fed. She pouts by plonking herself down on the ground abruptly. I'm probably anthropomorphising, but that's how it seems, anyway.
Hi guy's congrats on your rare and lifer bird's. Yesterday on my way home from work I took picture's of 3 raptors. Red tail hawk,Rough legged hawk and drum role...a Golden Eagle . All 3 were near the old Quarries filled with water but iced over. This is just a quarter mile from my house go figure. I also had a lesser black back gull. My total so far is 61 bird's and 2 I couldn't identify. You two keep me motivated. Thank you!
Thanks Susan, nice to hear we're encouraging your birding. Congrats on the Golden Eagle, we still need that. We've also only seen a Rough-legged Hawk at quite a distance.
Thank you. A mini-aim for me this year is to try to add some warbler lifers in Ontario. Cerulean being the easiest. Kirtland's would be next to impossible, but I have a lead on that.
Good Morning to both of you from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR, Stu and Sarah, just wondering…….💭 🤔🤔is the Snow Goose 🪿 a JUVENILE as it still has some ‘rusty’ plumage …….? Lovely snow ⛄️ scenes and landscapes 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Mark, there's no Snow Goose in this video. The white Goose is a Ross's Goose. Or do you mean the Trumpeter Swan? They sometimes get a bit or red-brown colouring on their heads from iron in the water that they forage and eat from.
Hi, again. Yes, I meant the Trumpeter’s Swan 🦢. Thank you for so many videos on birds in and around your areas. Looking forward for more interesting birds in your upcoming videos 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Mark! Looking forward to warmer conditions beginning in around March when the birds begin to migrate back up to Canada again. We're mostly just looking at ducks for the next few weeks!
Algonquin and you didn’t call me 🙄 lol I need to get up there soon, I always seem to buy my yearly pass in Algonquin Park. Is there a Squirrely photo on this year’s pass ??
Always nice these rare birds and certainly when it is a lifer. In Holland (Europe) we have now a male Spectacled Eider wich is extremely rare in Europe. People from 15 or more countries have now visited this bird for the last two weeks. I love that you have rare birds that here are very common. Keep up the challenge.
Congrats on your lifer and getting to 54! People can also support you by joining your membership!! 😊

Do you get Snow Bunting's, Horned Lark and Lapland Spur's? That was 3 for me all in one area.
Afraid not. We've looked a couple of times this year, but our main spot for them hasn't worked out yet.
Wow, nice addition this Common Eider! I would be tempted to go see it myself if I just had a good car LOL
Might be worth it if you can. It was quite far out for us, but I've seen shots of it where it's closer to shore.
When is the other video
Congrats on the lifer! I am hoping to see more ducks here in North Carolina during my big year we shall see. Thanks for another great video.

@BritHikesOntario I can't wait for the spring migration of Warblers here in NC. Many of them come through on their way up North
Congratulations Stu and Sara on the new lifer. That's one I have yet to add. Also, wow on the Ross's goose, so pretty. Also needed lol. Take it easy.
We just keep adding birds to your shopping list! 😁
@@BritHikesOntario Yeah, thanks for that! lolz
Some great birding spots and sightings. Looking forward to your winter Algonquin Park videos
Thank you 😊

Woohoo! On seeing the Eider 👏
Haha thanks. Would be nice if it came a bit closer, but I'll take it 😊

Sorry, we traveled with others. I'm afraid to say that your nemesis the American Red Squirrel is featured on the pass this year, yes.

I've heard about that Spectacled Eider showing up over there! Nice bird.
Thanks for watching our channel 😊
Thanks so much for sharing another wonderful video like always, what kind of camera you got this time?
Thank you!
Oops, missed your question.
Nikon Z6iii. Much better focusing and stabilisation than the Z6ii I had before.
