I grew up in the'70s and was totally oblivious to wet Willies music and Jimmy Hall. Heard of them but that's about it. I'm glad I got to see this tour in 2015 along with my wife, friend and 16-year-old son in 2015 in Cincinnati. Killer pipes.
i had the chance to see this tour in Greensburg PA @ the PalaceTheater and these guys just knocked it out of the park it was my second time seeing Jeff Beck and both times were moments i will never forget
Mercy sake's, if Jimmy Hall singing A Change Is Gonna Come doesn't give you chills then maybe you'd better check yourself for a pulse too while your at it.

@@DeadMikeConcertVideos , Oddly enough, I've seen Jeff Beck live by himself and I saw Jimmy with Wet Willie back in 1976 at an outdoor show in Nashville that featured the Atlanta Rhythm Section, Wet Willie, The Outlaws, & Lynyrd Skynyrd before the crash. I'd tell you all about it my friend, but I just don't have the words.
@@GBeret83 it may be a long while before we return to the good times like before, it's hard to say. what i can say, is i'm glad i sacrifice my immediate enjoyment of the show to take video and stay still. :) it's a split mind cause i'm obviously still there enjoying it, but can't zone out looking in the camera... and watching this i can recall me thinking that he just moved around too much to follow, lol.
@@DeadMikeConcertVideos , Your a good man Charlie Brown to make that sacrifice. I'd love to be able to do it, but almost immediately my "air guitar" gets plugged in and turned all the way up for the entire show, LOL.
@@GBeret83 BTW - ARS plays Dosey Doe here a lot and I always pass them up. They are playing there in 2021. So how was Jimmy back then? And wow, what an amazing show I bet, to see LS before the crash had to be epic. I only saw them once in 2013, which is my fault for never wanting to see them (southern rock i have/had issues with).
rupert pupkin You are crazy! Oh man, his touring with Jimmy Hall, what an amazing combination! This was a match made in heaven, I think and I hope they can do some original music. I know Jimmy is featured on Jeff's new CD and think they inspire each other.
rupert pupkin - Agreed! But it is a reminder that Jeff can cover all bases and is unpredictable. And listen to the audience response at the start of 'A Change Is Gonna Come'. While there are those of us who want Jeff to forever pursue the ends of the sonic world, it's good to sometimes step back a bit and let some folks catch up (He likely made a whole lot of new fans on this tour.). And while I'm no Jimmy Hall fan, he really has been nailing this gig. Still, I'd rather have Imogen Heap handling the mic. and Jeff going off the edge...or even doing his classical thing. But surely more of that is just around the corner.
My guitar hero, Jeff! Classic rock here, love this bit of early JBG. Jimmy Hall has a great voice but he pretty much only has one volume. I've seen him many times with Beck, gets on my nerves after a while.

The late, great Charlie Daniels once said, "Jimmy Hall has more soul in his little finger than most people have in their whole body."
This is certainly one of my favorite videos and concert experiences. Hope to get a chance to see him again some time.
