That is real sad. I just looked her up and she was in some amazing stuff like Boardwalk Empire and Sopranos. I imagine Colbert knew about it and maybe didn't bring it up. He's probably feeling extremely sad but sometimes you just don't wanna let it out. Especially if you are in the public eye.

I met him in 1991 at sort of the beginning of his career. Always came across as a decent human being.
Ernest Paul...he attended my niece's small, intimate wedding reception. He was polite, gracious , and a gentleman. Also, danced with my aging mother-in-law. What a nice person. I'm glad for his deserved success. So sad for his loss, much sympathy.

I saw him perform at Pace. He was in the Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui with Al Pacino and John Goodman. Amazing actors...the play, not so much. Even for me who will watch anything.

20 years ago when I was 18 I auditioned for Steve Buscemi. I was a young actor and he was directing "Animal Factory" in 1999 with Ed Furlong. I didn't know who he was before the audition until i walked in the room. He was the nicest and most humble director i ever met. I didn't get the role but he cast me as a extra lol. True story....

One of the rare dudes in film that nails every character he plays. Doesn’t matter what genre it is. Not to mention that fact that he’s a fully trained firefighter and showed up to help NY during 9/11, in his old gear too.
My friend's older sister used to tell her that if you were alone in a room and the phone rang, it was the devil calling. Amongst other scary things. Another friend wrote a play based partly on the idea, so at least something good came out of it.

Steve (also known as Donny in TBL) was at one time a NY firefighter, he volunteered to work for free with his old engine company during the 911 attack/disaster. He did 12 hour shifts. It didn't become public for years as Steve didn't want any publicity for this.
A different Donnie character bragged that now he had the tallest building in the area.

My Lucid Life - Steve says he says it the way his dad pronounced it, it should be projunounced with a “she”. Apparently, he went to Italy and was surprised when he heard it pronounced correctly.

I love Stephen Colbert, and I watch his show regularly. But this video was nowhere near viral enough to be #1 on trending. TH-cam seems to have huge bias towards talk-shows and 'big money' programming compared to its creators.

The scary thing about Deep Fakes is that it doesn't take a lot of time, the technology gets better and better. At this point it's mostly AI that does the face swap, depending on the software you have to do some point matching (nose, eyes, mouth, chin, ears) but once you've done that and matched enough picture/video files to the program then it's done. The more advanced programs even does the point matching (nose, eyes etc) by itself, all you have to do is add a video file and say which face(s) you want to be changed.
And yes, it's scary as hell how effective and easy it is.

Stephen found Eva Longoria's story about being terrified of the god her parents told her was real when she was a kid amusing even though she genuinely thought he would murder her for stealing some bubble gum, but someone rightfully calling that god evil is outrageous? Like, has he read the Bible?
Stephen is an actor. His reaction is always tailored to fit whatever narrative.

His surprise wasn't at someone calling God evil. It was at Steve's older brother telling him that at such a young age. An anecdotal little story about an older brother picking on a younger one.

i saw this interview on tv and i kept thinking how creepy this was, steve buscemi answered very well to all questions, i’d be so creeped out by knowing what to say..
Heard the video in the background, thought he would introduce Jeff Bridges, then I hear it's steve and switch to the video... and then I see steve dressed up AS jeff as Lebowski. Great
