Glenn Close is GD legendary! What a BOSS! And I also have to make a note about what makes Stephen Colbert the best late night talk show:
    From 1:22 - 1:38, and 1:45 - 2:18
Glenn: (tells highly personal, sad, vulnerable story)
Stephen:* *listens in complete silence* *
Had that been Jimmy Fallon, Conan, or some of the others:
Glenn: (Tries to tell personal story)
Jimmy: “Oh, I know! It’s crazy what’s happened to women”
Glenn: “So my mother says to me...”
Jimmy: “Where were you? Where’d you talk to her? Was it on a camping trip?”
    Glenn: “We were at home.”
Jimmy: “Home In LA? I love LA it’s so beautiful out there.”

He is now comfortable in his role and allows the space for his guest to speak instead of running over them as he was in the beginning. He'd never have the metal to resist eventually giving the correction.... I'm as sure of that as I am that Bilbo Baggins was a gnome!

Incredible piece of history and great television right here. Can an interview win a Pulitzer? Glenn Close just broke my heart and gave all of us a lesson in human dignity and how far we have yet to travel. Thank you, Colbert Show team for bringing incredible content week after week.

It's so cool that the first half of the interview is so deep and emotional, but in the second half she seems to be having so much fun.
