Quite the change in tone with just the muffler delete. Oddly, it sounds like a W204 C63 AMG now. Definitely an improvement without being obnoxious.

The S makes a lot of sense considering the price difference of the RS
They’re both EA824’s (obviously not the exact same engine, but similar) just like the EA824 V10 found in the R8 and Huracan.
That engine is capable of 2000hp to the crank on stock internals.
These are also quite strong engines and have good aftermarket support just because it’s related to the V10.
You’ll notice the 4.2 found in the S5 makes more peak torque than the RS5’s 4.2, while the RS5 revs higher. Just a tune will let it rev to 9k rpm and be well within the safety barrier

I Have an 09 4.2 with Capristo cat back and JHM stage 2 tune. I'm considering a mid delete. I'm wondering if it may get too loud. 🤷🏾♂️

I’ve got this setup; had this car for 6 years. Thought about changing but for how much you would have to spend to get something new but similar In power etc it’s just not worth it

Both the audi and Lamborghini both have v10.

No! Worst thing to do on the 4.2, if you want even more sound the only thing to do is H-Pipe instead of Mid Resonator. H-Pipe + Rear Muffler delete is already 124 dB stationary, its insanely loud and theres literally nothing more you would need.
@DarkSession6208 not looking for more dB. Just clean up the sound.
@@nuffsaid6807 This is what the H-Pipe does, more refined sound minus the drone. The X-Pipe makes it quieter and makes it way too high pitched.
