i love the way chris talks to his fans. he just doesnt get up there and play his songs, he will actually talk to a person and make a real connection so few rockstars make!
I saw Soundgarden twice in the mid-90s, and both times it was a little bit bad, because, well alot of their sounds are impossible to sing, at least night after night, on a touring schedule. So clip like this, wear Chris's voice was strong, at he was hitting all the notes are super precious. Thanks so much for uploading.
peter long the 90s definitely had a really exciting culture of live arena shows. You’re right I should be grateful, and I am. The second show I saw was fascinating, because they were promoting Down on the Upside, and in retrospect, it makes sense they were falling apart. Just over it. I’m not faulting them. They had an amazing run, and was really interesting to see that something that had been so big and dynamic, had its own life-cycle, came to its own end
@@kirbymorgan2573 Layne Staley wouldn't hit 99% of the notes in this song or most Chris Cornell's songs. Layne was a hell of a singer but definitely not world class singer, we are talking about one of the greatest singers of all time here.
Love CC though I do, Most the time he doesn’t reach the heights of his studio work (This video being a stark exception). If we are talking actual world class singers, Geoff Tate must be mentioned. In his day, he crushed the live stuff!🤘🏻
these guys are the pioniers of grunge...and they teach you a valuable lesson...just because they are too kind for this world...and that lesson is that between a man and a woman...who are not relatives...there is no love, and it's not a sad thing...quite the contrary...it's a very good thing...Soundgarden means true mature love...smart
Damn Chris Cornell owned that shit in 94! This is when they were in their prime, no question. Superunknown (to me) is when Soundgarden perfected their sound. Best album of the 1990's period
I'm perfectly capable of playing pretty much anything I come across as long as I apply myself to it and it's not ridiculous double bass stuff. It's the deciphering what he's doing on the drum set. But after playing for around two and a half years, I've started developing more of an ear for detecting the smaller sounds in the production.
Being a newer SG fan and being to young for it back then I would give most anything to see them back then in their hay day. I have full confidence that I will see them now that they are back together but it just wouldn't be the same...
Yeah, what he said. Learn to practice off-beat grooves cuz thats a trademark for Matt Cameron, and for a band like sound garden who plays in such odd time signatures.
Yeah, I also found that learning really advanced syncopated rhythms like latin and jazz helped me to better figure out beats better when listening to them.
I dont let it get to me and just think even if he didnt sell out no amazing songwriter has more than two to four classic albums inside them anyway, thats probably why he went with Timbaland...a foolish last ditch attempt because he knew his peak had long passed but its completely natural it happens to every songwriter, would've happened to Hendrix and Cobain too but I don't think they would've tried to pull this shit
@ktrel54 oh they still do mtv unplugged...only with katy perry and trey songz and other crap that doesnt matter. i can understand why it has eluded you. in the name of good music, its god awful embarrassing

WOW! The range CC is hitting on this show are astonishing! No wonder your video has so many hits, those were great times
It's just sad.....such an amazing musician gone too soon

Great performance!!
Phenomenal!
@ktrel54 they're too loud to be unplugged. i just went to a concert of theirs and my ears were still ringing 2 days later
Fun fact is that C.C.never wore ear protection
The anthem of corporate, cube dwelling drones.
Cornell nails this! Most of the live vids his voice can't hit all the highs, but this is awesome! Thayill with the Dual Rectifiers!!
Killer vocals this night coming from He of the Killer Vocals.
@FishingBrisbane Actually my band does a cover of this. Granted the lead singer can't sing it exactly like Chris, but we do it justice.
wow what a voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hit or miss i guess they never miss huh
they probably won't sound like this on the upcoming tour, but if they do that will be sweet.

Thanks!! 💯🍍❤️❣️
They're back!
Didnt say he would sellout, just that the quality of his songwriting couldnt have stayed at that level for the rest of his career...
... definitely ever.
Nobody would know of something that would help a fellow learn the drums to Soundgarden's songs would they?
Yeah, I think he said "pork chops sucks" too. Maybe a reference to wallowing with pigs...
Where and what year?
