From what Gojo said, if you're in a Domain Expansion you can cancel it out with a stronger Domain Expansion. That's one of the few ways to get out of it, otherwise you're screwed.
I dont know if you've paid attention in the opening, but the most tragic part is that MAPPA really baited us by showing Junpei having a happy ending with the other Jujutsu students 😭
Honestly I don't get why people fell so hard for this scene. There's no such thing as "happy ending" in this show. It's a battle shounen, not a slice-of-life 😅 even if sometimes it looks kinda peaceful... For me the distortion ending this scene in the opening was hinting that this peaceful scenery will lead to smth tragic. And all these "JunPAIN" comments basically prepared me for the worst :p
A Domain Expansion is a barrier technique, and I believe it was previously mentioned that the stronger a barrier is from the interior, the weaker it is from the exterior (that's the risk of using a powerful domain but not catching all your enemies inside at once). However, once youre trapped inside a domain, its a gauranteed kill shot (unless you have a stronger domain; like with Jogo vs Gojo). Not to mention his base superhuman strength, if it wasn't for Yuji coming in, Nanami was dead. Mahito's cursed technique is "Idle Transfiguration" which allows him to touch another creature's soul and reshape it to kill/deform them or turn them into a curse. His Domain Expansion essentially extends that ability and basically links to the soul of everything else inside of his barrier. The moment Yuji broke in, Mahito was inadvertently touching Yuji's/Sukuna's soul a second time after he he had already been warned, so he got f*cked up.
Its not a guaranteed Kill shot.Essentially every cursed technique is guaranteed to hit.The opponent might not die from it and Gojo is just on another level.

Itadori and Sukuna's dynamic is such a wonderful way to implement the "inner demon" trope in shounen anime. Naruto and Black Clover both use a much more typical version of the trope, but I just really enjoy the idea of the main character and their inner demon being constantly at odds
I'm honestly surprised that the concept of inner demon being cooperative and turning to be actually good is a more common scenario in shounen, I always thought that a devil possessing you should be evil, I can think about every typical horror movie about possessions as examples.... Maybe in anime they wanted to subvert this expectation of "being possessed by evil shit" into "this evil shit is actually good" but this subvertion became a common trope later.

I haven't quit college yet because I know that ideally, I need a degree to get a great job that pays well. I cry more while studying and slowly detaching myself from living my life. I'm still glad I haven't got the balls to do sui****** but everyday, I feel like wanting to escape this life because of how I feel and the way I'm living rn. Money is and has always been the main reason I'm going through college, and sadly, it's one of the reasons I haven't quit yet. Man, this is the second anime I've read the manga for, and no spoilers, but the best parts havent even been animated yet... Thats crazy to say considering what we've got with the anime so far
I think Junpei is one of the most tragic characters I've ever seen. His story is so relatable, minus the whole curse fantasy thing. A child suffering abuse from other kids, getting beat up and humiliated all the time for no reason. And he doesn't even have the oportunity to save or redeem himself from this cause when someone shows up to offer a helping hand they actually lead him to a dark path which makes him lose his life.
Hey Nicholas, just so you know MAPPA is the studio that animates JJK and the 4th Attack on titan season, thats why the animation changed so much in the last season
Junpei realized that Mahito is a bad person because 'Ma Hito' literaly means 'Bad Person' in japanese He said "Bad Person is not a bad person" and it clicked for him
Idk if you talked about in on Patreon or not but for the intro of Episode 13, you can see Yuji crying at the end when he nods back off to sleep after it shows the "what could've been" with Junpei. Just further driving home how much he wanted to save him and how the intro tricks everyone.
Yo i love your reactions so much, it's so hype and i got to relive the emotions i felt while i watched those episodes for the first time, so cool The episodes are so damn great, i'm glad these two didn't get split up
Btw random note, his name is Itadori Yuji, with Itadori being his surname and Yuji being his first name since in Japan they say the family name first unlike most western countries.
please... it would totally change my day if you dropp that attack on titan episode today. Bro, my eyes will water. Bro, i would legit feel it in my heart, like a priceless gift. Especially because i know what happens in those episodes.
Mahito's domain expansion animation is insane no matter how many times I see it. Hands are one of the toughest things to animate well because we know how human hands move so well that trying to make realistic looking hands often leads to an uncanny valley reaction, but here they animated so many fluid high detail hand movement animations and it looked gorgeous!
I am actually so excited to see your reaction to the upcoming episodes, because oh boy they get even crazier. Jujutsu Kaisen is an absolute top tier shonen anime.
His name is Yuji Itadori, Itadori Yuji in Japanese I believe. The last name is used typically in a professional manner or in an authority kind of way, though that can vary
It's not the last name though, it's the first name. You're assuming it's the last name cuz you're looking at it from an English perspective, but in reality, Family name/surname is your first name in Japanese.
Yes you're right, these are the defining episodes. The Mahito Arc is the one that really hooked me to this show. It gave a taste to the potential of the series and the foreboding promise that the storytelling will just get darker as it progresses. Love your reaction as always!
Junpei would had been a great friend for Yuji, their similar taste in movies, and then Junpei being his possible junior or confidante in the future fights. Seeing him die is too much. Please react to My Hero Academia and Mob Psycho 100 next, I know you're gonna love these two of how well written they are, and the buildups are good. Plus Mob Psycho's animation is rather experimental 😊
For your question of whether domains can be laid out within domains, that's what gojo exactly did in his fight against jugo the more refined domain expansion amongst them will overpower the other domain

Nanami is one of the most likeable characters, in a show already busting with great characters. His simple way of life is an inspiration, no room for pride or greed, just accepting other's gratitude while using your talent to help others to the best of your ability
What the first opening again. During the end there's a scene with Junpei in Jujustu uniform along with Itadori, Megumi and Nobara having fun, cut to Sukuna's laughing at Itadori and Itadori suffering. It hits so hard.
See, this is why Nanami is a favourite character for so many people, bc of how relatable his struggles feel. I have to say that Itadori is definitely my fav MC ever rn but I love Nanami so much too. No worries, many of us get trapped in this money-oriented way of thinking, it's a natural weakness. The most important thing is just being aware of your weaknesses and doing your best no matter what💪
Yes I have to admit, I did cry the first time I saw Nanami’s flashback. Just having no real purpose or ideal in life but you found it eventually, or just doing something that people thank you for. It hits deep
Hey nick please react to these anime openings I've picked them for you. 1. Dororo OP 2. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood OP1 3. The God of highschool OP 4. Tower of God OP 5. Carole and Tuesday(This one really underrated but once you listen to it, it's one of the best) 6. Erased OP
This is one show where all the 'villains' somehow makes sense....I mean most other animes I watched had villains who are just annoying or has some really sad back story to make you feel bad....but this is one anime where these evil characters are just soooo COOOOL man!!! with or without those back stories! I mean sukuna is just so evil and yet he is one of the coolest characters ever!!! I have never 'fangirl'ed any evil character like this!
I completly forgot that there was such a emotional scene at the end of the second episode, even tough jjk is one of my favorit shows. But seeing it now again for the second time, but somhow also for the first time... just hits me directly in the guts. Not just the emotions but also the fights and the conections (dont know how to put it better) of those two aspects together are just perfect. In my oppinion some, if not the best, episodes of the first season!
I distinctly remember this episode the best of the entire season. Mostly from shock. I noticed Junpei in the opening in episode 12 and kept repeating myself that he'll be fine.... but he wasn't. I never felt so betrayed by an opening until that moment when I realized he wasn't getting up
I know it's not opening reaction. But Nicholas really need to react to OUSAMA RANKING OP 2 - I just heard it for the first time, and the song, the lyrics, everything just touches your souls and describe the show perfectly. So fkn beautiful
"What if you do a domain within a domain? I wonder if that's possible" Gojo educating Itadori several episodes ago: Here's exactly what happens when you try and make a domain inside a domain
Junpei’s story is just tragic. He had a crappy life, got manipulated, lost his only family, and when it looked like he was about to go down a better path, he was killed by someone he considered a friend
Thank you for your reactions, I absolutely love them and especially the JJK ones always make my day, I am dead serious. You seem to be a very genuine guy and I am happy for you that you discovered anime for yourself.
My older brother made me watch this show as my first introduction to anime and it is still my favourite. I like Junpei, but I remember being so thrown off by his fate the first time I watched this seeing as he was clearly featured in the intro.
The background music at the end of episode 13, where Itadori's monologue takes place, is called "Standing in the darkness", listen to it later, her lyrics will hit hard
I look forward to watching these everyday man and jujutsu kaisen was one of the few animes i enjoyed every second of, I also recommend after these you should check out Tokyo Revengers or Tokyo ghoul. They both have that dark/badass type of mood you like and the characters have so much depth, plus they are just impossible to hate.
Mahtio is a perfect villain IMO. He's the perfect foil to Yuji - he doesn't care about anyone but himself where Yuji cares about everyone BUT himself. It's deep as hell.
I am a guy with strong heart ...Everytime I see Nanami my heart pains so much like I just want to cry specially when seeing your reaction to him .... Can't wait for season 2
‘The next words that spilled from my lips came from so deep within my gut that it nearly made all the things I've ever said feel like a lie. I will kill you!’ This quote still gives me goosebumps even tho I’ve seen this scene a thousand time. 😶
I couldn't agree more when you said Jujutsu is a top tier show. I used to watch anime A LOT years ago (Naruto, bleach, death note, Evangelion, DBZ, just to name a few) and then stopped suddenly. And after all these years many people recommended to start again with Attack on Titan, Demons Slayer and Jujutsu kaisen and I was blown away! Like those 3 really are something else!
Work is harder than studying, ppl say, but to me, studying can be difficult, too.
You're a great guy, Nick. Your anime reaction videos make me happy even if it is just a little. I hope you're doing alright or great everyday. I've been called bad things before for saying thoughts like this but that doesn't matter rn. Just know, you're bringing happiness to tons of your fans everyday with your videos. ❤️ Thank you for making and sharing your videos with us, Nick. You're a lifesaver.
Man, this is the second anime I've read the manga for, and no spoilers, but the best parts havent even been animated yet... Thats crazy to say considering what we've got with the anime so far
Man, nothing hits harder then when anime protagonist wasn’t able to protect someone
Yuji wishes his name was Ichigo :P
I think Junpei is one of the most tragic characters I've ever seen. His story is so relatable, minus the whole curse fantasy thing. A child suffering abuse from other kids, getting beat up and humiliated all the time for no reason. And he doesn't even have the oportunity to save or redeem himself from this cause when someone shows up to offer a helping hand they actually lead him to a dark path which makes him lose his life.
Hey Nicholas, just so you know MAPPA is the studio that animates JJK and the 4th Attack on titan season, thats why the animation changed so much in the last season
Junpei realized that Mahito is a bad person because 'Ma Hito' literaly means 'Bad Person' in japanese
He said "Bad Person is not a bad person" and it clicked for him
Idk if you talked about in on Patreon or not but for the intro of Episode 13, you can see Yuji crying at the end when he nods back off to sleep after it shows the "what could've been" with Junpei. Just further driving home how much he wanted to save him and how the intro tricks everyone.
16:27 You can absolutely do a domain within a domain, I think that is the episode where Gojou Satorou explains domains and use it at the same time.
Yo i love your reactions so much, it's so hype and i got to relive the emotions i felt while i watched those episodes for the first time, so cool
The episodes are so damn great, i'm glad these two didn't get split up
Powerful scenes, powerful choreography fight sequences, powerful animation. Just a powerful home hitting anime
#Junpeideservedbetter
Also Yuuji's "I'll kill you" moment is so fucking well done!
@@danielantony1882 I know, I just got them flipped, couldn't remember which was the family name and which was his name. Thanks!
Yes you're right, these are the defining episodes. The Mahito Arc is the one that really hooked me to this show. It gave a taste to the potential of the series and the foreboding promise that the storytelling will just get darker as it progresses. Love your reaction as always!
Finally you react to those episodes! Love your reactions man❤
You are currently my favorite youtuber! I literally wait for your uploads. lmao. You are the best!
I loved Nanami's flashback, made him easily one of my favorite characters
Fushiguro "Pets":
Alive:
White dogo, Nue and Told.
Dead:
Black divine dog and Orochi (snake).
Known "pets":
Five of ???
Fusion:
winged frog.
Five of ten shikigami types were tamed.
Also white divine dog is dead and black is alive.
The scene in the manga where Itadori finally got his revenge on Mahito is cold af. Can't wait for S2
Bro he didn't got ...Mahito got many things to hurt Itarori 😭😭😭😭
i literally get excited when i see a post from you
Such an amazing series. Glad you're enjoying it my dude! If you're looking for more to watch I highly recommend Summertime Render, it just started so there's 4 episodes out, you can easily catch up
Your brief moment of real talk and I'm just like-- sending digital hug in spirit. Sometimes anime gets too real, but sometimes it's a comfort in that regard even when it hits too close to home.
Or hits the nail directly on the head.
Nick we all want Aot, we CAN'T WAIT to see your reaction to what is coming next!! Also I would like to see your reactions to others anime endings and I suggest you Death Note Ending 2, that thing is gonna blow your mind (you should watch the full version because it's better and you will love it more).
i was waiting the entire day for aot rip me
I’ve been waiting so long for JJK
Nah i like all these series, but it would be cool if nick checked out mushoku tensei episode 1 to see if he likes it because it is a phenomenal anime. god tier.
@@allenhollow9007 Dont wait...theres a pattern...Demon Slayer, JJK then AOT...just know this :) (SPY FAmily too but it comes within 1-2 days or sooner after the latest episode airs)
@@reinerdrip4869I don't think he will do it now because the next anime he's gonna watch is Death Note (he said that as a reply in one of my old comments). I like Nick's videos in general but especially at this moment I would like to see more Aot reactions....If you know, you know. Also I would like a reaction to Death Note Ending 2 because it's awesome.
Nanami is one of the most likeable characters, in a show already busting with great characters. His simple way of life is an inspiration, no room for pride or greed, just accepting other's gratitude while using your talent to help others to the best of your ability
Where is aot's reaction video
What the first opening again. During the end there's a scene with Junpei in Jujustu uniform along with Itadori, Megumi and Nobara having fun, cut to Sukuna's laughing at Itadori and Itadori suffering. It hits so hard.
Nick PLEASE react to the next 3 episodes of AoT I just can’t wait any longer 😭
Same
See, this is why Nanami is a favourite character for so many people, bc of how relatable his struggles feel. I have to say that Itadori is definitely my fav MC ever rn but I love Nanami so much too. No worries, many of us get trapped in this money-oriented way of thinking, it's a natural weakness. The most important thing is just being aware of your weaknesses and doing your best no matter what💪
You would love death note please watch it next
Yes I have to admit, I did cry the first time I saw Nanami’s flashback. Just having no real purpose or ideal in life but you found it eventually, or just doing something that people thank you for. It hits deep
I'll tell you something that can shock you Did you know that itadori's voice performer is the same as ringoko's voice performer?
Rengoku*
And BABY Reiner from AoT..
@@Arkani1 Always with auto corrector 😂😂
@@eikomasuda2167 I didnt know that👍🏼
They're not, Rengoku's voice actor is Satoshi Hino while Yuuji' voice actor is Enoki Junya
His new hairstyle is so cool!!
Hi please react to deathnote after you finish jjk
Thz nic
I love watching you watch anime! It's like watching with a good friend.
Hey nick please react to these anime openings I've picked them for you.
1. Dororo OP
2. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood OP1
3. The God of highschool OP
4. Tower of God OP
5. Carole and Tuesday(This one really underrated but once you listen to it, it's one of the best)
6. Erased OP
Itadori's voice actor went off in episode 12 omgggg
waiting on AOT REACTIONS
We keep playing with us
Nicholas Light TV is one of the only TWO reaction channels that I wait very excited, like, he has the most enjoyable reactions I’ve ever seen.
Hoping for an aot reaction tomorrow 🙏
This is one show where all the 'villains' somehow makes sense....I mean most other animes I watched had villains who are just annoying or has some really sad back story to make you feel bad....but this is one anime where these evil characters are just soooo COOOOL man!!! with or without those back stories! I mean sukuna is just so evil and yet he is one of the coolest characters ever!!! I have never 'fangirl'ed any evil character like this!
I have to agree, for me he's also the only truly evil character in animethat I actually like, no matter how fcked up things he does
Where is your AOT reaction? 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Hey we are waiting for ATTACK ON TITAN😍
when will it be dropping out ???😁😁
tomorrow probs
Ik I thought it was supposed to be today
comments like this are entitled. don't demand from creators. you know they will come, so be patient.
You need to watch Death Note mate
He's going to react to it, I already asked to him and he said that he will react to Death Note after completing one of the anime he's reacting now
@@AlexSc0720 wow, brilliant news!
"What if you do a domain within a domain? I wonder if that's possible"
Gojo educating Itadori several episodes ago: Here's exactly what happens when you try and make a domain inside a domain
Post aot
Watched this earlier, but had to come back to watch it again. The energy from this man in these episodes was just that wonderful
Where aot
Nick giving nicknames to characters he can't remember the name of reminds me so much of Luffy
The only reaction channel that I can jump between content with.
The background music at the end of episode 13, where Itadori's monologue takes place, is called "Standing in the darkness", listen to it later, her lyrics will hit hard
Taylor released a re-recording of the song from the 1989 album This Love. We would love to see your reaction
MAPPA is the animating studio behind Jujutsu, they are also doing season 4 for AOT. MAPPA is amazing!
楽しんでくれているのが嬉しいよthankyou!
fromJAPAN
I couldn't agree more when you said Jujutsu is a top tier show. I used to watch anime A LOT years ago (Naruto, bleach, death note, Evangelion, DBZ, just to name a few) and then stopped suddenly. And after all these years many people recommended to start again with Attack on Titan, Demons Slayer and Jujutsu kaisen and I was blown away! Like those 3 really are something else! And your reactions too!
