@Maria Leticia Menezes Moraes have you looked into touring productions? Dear Evan Hansen, Tootise, Hamilton, Aladdin, Frozen, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, Ain’t Too Proud, Wicked, 9 to 5, Beetlejuice, Hadestown, Funny Girl, Jagged Little Pill just to name a few all have current touring productions. And the tours are great. Saw Rent twice on their farewell tour.
my friend performed she used to be mine in a talent show I couldn't stop crying bcs the emotion was perfect. We've been through a lot and after finally reaching the other side to see him perform this song was just so overwhelming ive never been so proud
you have immaculate taste in musicals!! it started off so strong and just kept getting better. broadway!six? we are the tigers? jagged little pill? everything else in this vid? impeccable
not gonna lie if you're into little shop of horrors listen to the current off broadway run. they are easily the best ones i have heard. i love rick moranis but he is NOTHING compared to johnathon groff
If Heidi Blickenstaff became famous when she was younger, she could've been a great Elphaba.... Btw idk why Freaky Friday wasn't produced on Broadway. It's really sad that it didn't have a Broadway run, it's severely underrated...
Totally disagree. They couldn't give away tickets to that show during it's San Diego preview run. I know because I was given 4 free tickets and the theatre was still half empty. I found it trite, overproduced, and many of the songs painfully on the nose; 'Biology' being the worst offender in my opinion.
@@jjdrama i didnt agree with biology either but i want to say that the show as a whole was still a well written show. Especially the song "vows". I initially had heard it on spotify before I watched the show in Melbourne and the actor, Michael Gray, was a highlight for me. Considering it is a spin off from the original movies, I think it was written rather well
This is great but in the future could you include the performers surnames as well? We're not all as clued into who Broadway performers are as you, thanks!
I have always and will always hold two truths about LITTLE SHOP: 1) Bo Burnham would make an INCREDIBLE Seymour Krelborn. 2) so would I! (If it was a gender swap kinda deal. Although I’d like to think I’d be a darn good Mr(s). Mushnik! Lol😅
Okay great video but I HATE when people say "voice cracks" in terms of singing. It's not a voice crack it's changing pitch or a "falsetto flip" NOT A VOICE CRACK
My dream is to watch ANY musical live, it could even be a school play and I would be so satisfied ❤️ love this and the emotions it brings!!!!
what’s stopping you?
@@save_bandit idk maybe money or lack of shows around them
"She will never be satisfied"
idc when broadway reopens if they happen to, im willing to wait for it (see what i did there- hehe)

Is there's a video of him singing that song in TH-cam?
7:54 Just hearing how flawlessly Cynthia belts assures me of the potential she has to sing "Defying Gravity" in "Wicked: The Movie-Part 1."

I am too mainstream but i love when jonathan groff spits in youll be back and liza in money makes the world go around lol
We did Sister Act at my school so hearing anybody talk about it is pretty nice, since it’s criminally underrated.

Chills for that last one
😮💨 i was hoping for cynthia’s “im here” by far the best one for sure
OMG thank u for adding that part in goodbye love from rent, it’s my favorite and i haven’t seen anyone else talk about it in their compilations

Speaking of gender swapped anyone who hasn’t needs to see the Aaron Tveit Gavin Creel Broadway miscast Take Me Or Leave Me.
My theater is doing little shop of horrors next year. I’m so hoping I get in because I am leaving my main stage company for it.

Is "Broadway" an American term? I only know a little Japanese musical theatre performances and some British, so I'm not familiar.
Broadway is a street/area in New York City where the biggest and most popular musicals perform in the US!
BROAD WAY SHUT DOWN?????????
covid..

this was 2 years ago lol
it did in 2020 due to covid but it’s not shut down anymore
Damn
I'm not sure why "musical theater moments" tend to include footage from movie musicals...
movie musicals involve musical theater…
@@stagefrightstheater implies the physical space; movie implies not
