    I really enjoyed doing this interview with Kyle. Rugby players are as complex as most human beings. Young men just trying to find their path.

      It was clear that you identified with a lot of his struggles (without making it about you)…that’s what made it a brilliant interview! Thanks Jim for the excellent content.
      p.s. I thought your deep dive into South African rugby was amazing!

    Jim has developed into such an emotionally intelligent interviewer. He has mastered the art of knowing when to say absolutely nothing, letting the guest take their rightful place in centre stage. A skill many more experienced interviewers are still to master.

    Great interview! Sinks is clearly a top bloke, his honesty and how he expresses himself is great for the game. Him and Ellis are exactly what rugby needs in terms of role models and hopefully by the time their done they would’ve inspired 1000s of kids who never thought of rugby as an option to pick up the ball and play the great game.

    As a Saffa I was gutted for Kyle in that RWC final. When he didn't get picked for the Lions I was gutted for him too. Then when things took a turn and he got into the Lions squad I was excited to see him go again. His transformation as a player and his honesty about it all is such a credit to him and such a valuable story. Thank you Kyle. All the best for the future.

    If you want to grow the game just get personalities like Kyle out there, so interesting to listen to him. He comes across as honest, self-aware, articulate and very likeable. The sport is lucky to have him.

    He's a top lad and on his day he is definitely world class 💯 good hands for a prop and he has a side step or two and when he channels his aggression in the correct way he's a nightmare to play against. As a Bristol fan I'm glad we have him in the trenches even if he does give away the odd penalty, he's a warrior. 👌

    Never seen Kyle sinkler have a scrap ever in any game of rugby. Just haven't seen it. Not even seen him land a punch on someone. Just haven't. Nor Ellis genge. No issue with it just they dine out on it constantly about anger issues. I think South African props, NZ, Argentine etc wouldn't consider him physically violent. Whatsoever. "Tough carry into brick wall", come on... you'd get folded like a deck chair.

    • @chadthecat7248
      @chadthecat7248 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The South Africans on here are being very kind but this childish hype around Sinckler and Genge came back to bite them recently. All that hype and the likes of Hask and Tinds putting them up as bad boys.The English scrum and the English pack was absolutely humiliated by SA, which is no big deal except that they had relentlessly hyped themselves as these terrifying tough guys, bad boys etc. when they should have gone into the game knowing themselves to be much lighter, weaker underdogs but then that wouldn't have fitted with the media's and Eddie Jones' hype around them.

    • @robertfoster1730
      @robertfoster1730 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly! Very well put! I mean to think what sort of personas have been in those shirts/from row over the years like say for instance Marler, Julian White, Rowntree, Cockerill, Moore etc even Vickery, Sheridan (less so as pure narliness as such but never portrayed himself falsely and delivered in actions) then you've got the likes of Grewcock, Moody, Back, Johnson, Haskell, Dallaglio the reality is.... when it comes to the big boys like a SA we've become 4cking soft as 5hit. Mega soft. Owen farrell.... fake hard man. Sinkler, genge all just fake fake fake. Absolutely if I was SA or NZ I'd be kind af to keep them there. But evidently these clowns are a backward step.

      It's like dealing with a big child. He and Genge seem to think that this is some kind of kindergarten reality tv show based around them and their ever-changing emotions. Its like putting the self help books they read, their victimhood obsession and their OTT narcissism into a blender. Its nice for him to say that he's an amazing scrummager now but for all the hype around him he acts like an immature, over emotional brat that the likes of SA Fr and NZ hold absolutely no fear of.
