    Costco.
I purchased Jabra Enhance Pro 30 from Costco. I was not happy as the hands free feature to answer calls was not working. Costco staff was not believing me. After 10 months of purchase, I finally gave up and insisted HA specialist to send it to the factory to investigate.
Factory changed all the parts and now it’s working fine.
So Costco staff should not be protective of the company and trust the customer.
    I suffered for 10 month!
After watching your video, I am planning to go for Philips 9050 Costco hearing aid whenever they make it available.
    Thanks for the information.

I got my Phillips 9050s at Costco Today. 10/12/24. My first pair ever. Wow. These are life changing. Work great with my phone. Work great in my truck while connected to my truck through Android Auto. Work great listening to youtube or other things on my phone. Wow. These things are great. Did I say they were great? I cannot wait to try them at conferences where a speaker gives presentations in a auditorium environment.

Just got my Phillips 9050 hearing aids. They are great. I have had some really cheap hearing amplifiers that do help me hear but they pick so much other outside noise that they can be frustrating whenever you have a lot of other outside sounds. The 9050's are perfect for me. I love how well they work with my iPhone for both listening to TH-cam and Podcasts, music, and phone calls seamlessly. Phillips was also including a TV link box ($190.00) which is nothing short of amazing. Even though I can hear the TV with just the hearing aids the TV link can be raised to whatever volume I want without raising the TV volume. The sound is crystal clear. I couldn't be happier with these hearing aids.

My insurance sent me a list of practices and the amount I got off of certain HA brands. Costco was still cheaper and included more. Just like my insurance for glasses. Costco was cheaper even though they don’t take insurance.

I have Phonaks from a private company that were replaced under warrantee, so basically new! And, I went to Costco today since my insurance covers new aids every 3 years. I had the best, most complete hearing exam ever. Afterwards, the technician said that Costco would soon be coming out with the 9050 model from Philips. She will call me when they arrive and I will upgrade to them!

Unplugged phones have their own version of Android that doesn't use Google Play to provide their apps. I am working with Unplugged to get the Hear Link 2 app for my new aids.

I bought the Jabra Select Enhance 500 aids a couple of weeks ago. They were so strident and sharp and could not be adjusted to be pleasing to my ears. I sent them back. This week I went to Costco for a hearing test and was able to "test drive" the new(ish) Rexton and Phillips 9050 hearing aids. I found the sound quality of the Phillips 9050 was almost identical to the Jabra aids. In fact, initially, after they were calibrated for my hearing profile, they had a substantial amount of white noise hissing though. The audiologist made some adjustments that brought the noise down but never disappeared. However, the Rexton hearing aids were perfect on the first try and I elected to go with them. Overall, I found the Rexton frequency spectrum much more pleasing and natural.

I bought Jabra Enhanced Pro 20 at Costco in January. I'm hoping that the Hearlink 9050 will be out before my 180 days are up. I tried both the Phillips and Jabra at the manufacturer defaults in the store and the Phillips sounded a little better to my ears but the audio specialist recommended the Jabras, In part due to the app. Well, the app has been updated!

The international specifications will be completed in 2027. Currently no hearing aid can receive Auracast. No Auracast transmitter has been built. So today, use a telecoil to connect to thousands of venues/institutions/organizations in an infrastructure that already exists.

    • @juliettesterkens721
      @juliettesterkens721 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

It will likely be 3+years. Even Ampetronic, a MFR of hearing loop systems and working on bringing an Auracast transmitter to market - states: "Where practical to install a loop system that should still be considered as a primary choice for accessibility now, little has changed since hearing loops and telecoils were the preferred technology of choice by 86% of hearing aid users (reference on Ampetronic website). Part of this is also ease of access, in many cases accessing a loop is as simple as seeing the recognised signage and pressing a button or switch on the hearing aid. There is only one channel of audio available, and there’s no doubt that the audio you’re connecting to is trustworthy. For all these reasons it’s imperative that these technologies co-exist for many years to come. Short answer: Consumers need both telecoils and Bluetooth in their hearing aids.

"May the best technology win" is the only way to address the challenge of trying to hear clearly in places of public accommodation. The only catch for any solution that might replace consumer-preferred hearing loop systems is that, once again, facility operators will be charged with investing in an "accommodation" without reimbursement and, sadly, most of them are unaware or not convinced that they need to do it.
While ramps and curb-cuts for those with wheelchairs, walkers and strollers are very popular and available to all, assistive technology for hearing loss (an invisible disability) is hard to come by. In spite of ADA requirements for "effective communications" the majority of owners/operators of public spaces in the U.S. are not in compliance with our ADA.
It will be interesting to see how often "Auracast transmitters" are installed in public spaces, and whether or not the new system will qualify as a solution for ADA compliance. Until then, any and all efforts to raise awareness of the critical need for assistive hearing technology to boost audio clarity and comprehension in public spaces is VERY WELCOME!

I bought Resound from Costco 5.5 + years ago, and bought Jabra Enhance Pro a year ago, but returned them just short of 6 months. In retrospect, I think an auto adjustment feature couldn't make up its mind what the optimum setting should be, and the fitter did not pursue that possibility. When I returned the Jabras, the fitter said if wanted to try Jabra again in the future, to make appointments with the senior HA specialist. Meantime, my Resound HAs need help, and Widex & Jabra online hearing tests indicate my hearing can be improved to GOOD (what else would they say?). I am wondering whether I should wait until Costco has Philips HearLink 9050 HAs available. BTW, I have just subscribed (should have done it 2 months ago).

Programming inside an office building is far from the noises outside in the real world !! I think I read in some countries the audiologist come to your home to do programming. With no rocker switch it makes a user more dependent on the phone app. I'm going on like two months now with Nexia and am still having a hard time adjusting from my older style CIC style. I'm not sure if REM's would help even those she matched up the frequencies from my previous ones on screen the best she could.

Hi. I'm using disposable batteries in my Costco KS9's because rechargeable were not available. These need to be replaced about every 3 days. I'd prefer rechargeable aids; however I need to have them last all day under pretty high Bluetooth usage.

I have had both disposable battery and rechargeable and prefer the disposable as it was a once a week change . Also they are a bit smaller in size. I hope Philips comes out with a disposable battery version.

Oticon More 1 - Independent audiologist - Rechargeable BUT... the More battery can be replaced by the audiologist. I'm watching the Intent, whose battery can NOT be replaced by the audiologist. That and the single button (vs rocker) are near deal-breakers.

The lack of a disposable battery is a non starter for me. I do a lot of steaming and I am afraid the rechargeable will not make it though the day. I find it much easier to just change a battery every 4 days than to worry about a charger every day.

Thanks for nice preview! Tried Jabra Enhanced Pro 20s Costco, returned (bluetooth instabilities, streaming quality) so looking forward to trying 9050; but, really disliked rechargeable aspect of the Jabra (having to keep track of charger, get aids to them every night, etc) and am wary of the battery-replacement timeline/cost, so I really hope the 9050 get a replaceable version

I bought Jabra earbuds last September from Costco. The pro 20 model I think. Whatever was the best they offered, price not withstanding . I had them custom fit to my ears. I'm not too happy with them. The occlusion is always there and loud. If I turn down the volume to avoid the occlusion, I can't hear the speech of the person I'm conversing with. If i put them on the setting for noisy places and happen to walk outside on a windy day, it sounds as if someone is popping popcorn in my ears. Perhaps it's just my level of loss which tested 'profound'. Anyway, I have decided to go back and purchase a behind-the-ear style instead of the earbuds. Even though I detest the behind-the-ear type. Again, price no issue, I just want to hear better.

@@davidli1331do you like them? What did you have prior? I got the Jabra's and not sure i will keep them. They use some kind of AI directionality that causes shifting sounds as the AI tries to guess what you sould and should not be hearing, but seems to get it wrong mostly. Causes sounds to shift and cut in and out in volume. Also they have horrible wind noise where even have my car AC on low causes lots of wind noise. BT is also wonky and app disconnects at times.

Totally understand. Been wearing aids all my life and it's expensive to play in the technology levels unless you think outside the box. I get ear testing done by audiologist but after programing these silks to my ear test I found signia's InSituGram program astounding!
Since I wear a hat and readers i will definitely wear these over my RITC aids with Bluetooth.
