Replacing the Golf-R Estate | my new Bike Wagon | new Alpine A110-S

A quick first look at the replacement for my Mk 7.5 Volkswagen Golf-R Estate. Introducing the Alpine A110-S. A more in-depth review will follow once I've put some more miles on the clock.
Definitely a change of direction, after the sturdy and ever-so-practical four wheel drive (and nearly 400bhp) Golf-R.
This mid engined, rear wheel drive, 2 seater coupe weighs in at just over 1100Kg (2400lbs) with an all-aluminium body and various lightweight parts.
The Renault derived 1800cc 16v DOHC Turbo petrol engine produces around 300bhp (nearly 100bhp less than the tuned Golf-R) however the power to weight ratio is better, due to the Golf's greater mass.
So far it's a delight to drive and I'm looking forward to some longer road trips. I just need to work out where to put my bike ...
