Dragon Age: Origins, BioWare's final masterpiece. One of the most underrated RPGs of all time. The Ultimate Edition is one of the most satisfying journeys I've ever had as a gamer. Such a shame what BioWare became, but what a ride it was. Dragon Age: Origins is a wonderful bookend to nine years of remarkable output. Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Mass Effect, and finally this stunning achievement. These games warmed me in childhood and then ushered me into adulthood. We will never see a near-decade long run like BioWare's ever again.
@@KnightOfStJohn Not really. Morrowind and Oblivion are great, that's about it. Skyrim is the McDonalds of RPG games, Fallout 3 and 4 were pale imitations of what made the franchise great and let's not get started on Fallout 76 or Starfield. Since FO3, Bethesda games have been for people who want their depth as shallow as a puddle and as wide as a pond. They don't compare to Bioware's run from 1998 to 2010.
Why? Why must you hit me right in the feels like this? Ahh, Dragon Age Origins. Probably the best RPG ever. There will never be another game quite like it.
Hey, so it's been eons since I last played this game, probably ten years or so. I always wanted to make content for it, but couldn't figure out a way to record for it when I first made an attempt a few years ago. With some modding (modlist in description) and a couple console commands it is now possible. Hope I'm motivated enough to finish it. Would like to play DAII as well, as I never have, and also to actually finish Inquisition. I want to be ready for DA4 next year.
While DAO is a bit burdensome to get started, once it picks speed it's essentially a raging bull that has you entranced in the game until you're done with it, and you have enough ways to play it to have many engaging playthroughs. I am hoping you find the time to get through it, and deliver us some more of the soundtrack. DA2 and DAI... They don't come close on that development, but keep in mind they were rushed. Here's hoping you have a fun time playing (and recording soundtracks) those titles anyway. Thanks for your hard work, it has accompanied me through med school, best wishes!
Hi🤚is love💗this is so beautiful and is so amazing your the best TH-cam ever I love❤️you so much your my favorite❤️TH-camr❤️you make the best😁video ever this😊look awesome this best way to relax 😌and sleep😴 you make me so happy buddy love you with all in my heart❤️💙💚💜
yeah, so happy you're doing Dragon Age! Can't wait for DA4 too, Loved every game from the series despite many flaws (DA2 and Inquisition). I don't know, this series is just too important to me to dislike those games.
DA2 is great, I love it. Just know ahead of time it is following one subplot in one place that is a catalyst to the upcoming events for the rest of the world. You won't meet many new people, but those you do meet will set the scene for DAI. 😍
Man...when I played this game I had my very first concert as a guitarplayer. I can still remember how I was nervous weeks before the concert. After it was finally over (it went well) I remember when I got finally home at 3 in the morning and played this game. It really took me down to earth after this whole thing. Great memories.
Man I would really love to replay the entire trilogy, I just can’t really find the time and the motivation to start this very long journey. If you keep posting these videos I may just go for it!
Baldurs Gate I + II Icewind Dale I + II Planescape: Torment Neverwinter Nigts I + II Dragon Age Origins The Big Five that will remain in my heart forever. Games that showed that you can present amazing book narratives and use captivating, insane symphonic music that was crucial to building the entire story. Unfortunately, everything that was created after the Awakening expansion began to go to the dogs. In addition, the terrible Baldur's Gate 3 was unable to convey the magnificence of these great narratives set in Faerun and Thedas.

Agreed 100%, except I still hold out hope that we will see something like it again :)
The Bethesda run was just as good

@adamm2091 I agree but FO3 and Skyrim still mean alot to me. Skyrim is shallow but for some reason I still love that game

I love how those ominous parts foreshadowing the fact that the battle will be a complete disaster for the King´s army and Grey Wardens.
I saw Wynne, Daveth and Duncan. I did not realize I missed them.

I was looking for a War Camp ambience for my D&D sessions, but the ambience is not in the official aoundtrack. Thanks!
