I remember when revenge of the Smith came out i got this small burnt to a crisp Anakin that was accurate to the movie with only his robot arm present and the others were chopped and burnt off. At the time I was shocked at how detailed it was
That's my only criticism with this channel, but it's constant. They never show the thing they're talking about for for than a couple seconds. Weird choice
Leave the images of the figures up while you're talking. The video should be about seeing the poor figures, but you only leave the images up for about 8 seconds.
Hey Dan, the 40th anniversary Empire Strikes Back Black Series has a new Bespin Luke and he is way better than the old one. IF you search enough Wal-Mart stores you're sure to find one on clearance like I did.
Dan, when you are talking about a figure's appearance it would help to see the actual figure instead of your face so that we can understand what the hell you're talking about.
I actually like the helmet sculp of the Emperor's wrath Vader better than the original Vader helmet. I found the wrath Vader at my local comic shop for $12 and then gave him a repaint to look more like the traditional Vader. With a matte black for the helmet, a glossy black for the eyes and the silver detailing on the rebreather, I gotta say, I love my "Emperor's Wrath" Darth Vader black series figure.
I love watching your videos! Like many others though, I do wonder why there aren't longer, or closer-up, shots of each figure you discuss. I really would like to see some of the details you discuss more clearly. Is this having to do with rights, etc.? If not it would be great to be able to really see the figures you discuss!
You talk about bad face sculpts a few times in this video but you don't show them?.... Please show pictures of what you're talking about as you talk about them sir. Other then that another great video. Always a treat to watch. Thank you for your hard work.
You're one of the few toy reviewers that I can actually watch. There are a lot of reviewers that are obnoxious and in your face or plain cringeful to watch. I got tired of the individuals that are constantly shilling or just aren't critical enough. I think you really balance positivity and realism nicely. It's nice to see toy videos that aren't full of pretentiousness. Keep doing what you're doing!
I remember when I got my Vader, I ordered it online and if felt strange to me so I went on a huge search about how to tell if I had a bootleg figure or not 😂 turns out he's not...
Thanks for your videos. Besides being essential before buying a figure, you make the videos incredibly fun to watch. I love the pop ups! Great sense of humor! xD
For a semi boring topic, not bad, but it would have been better to keep the figure up the whole time you are talking about it so that you can reference details as you describe them.
I just discovered your channel and I really like your show! Just a hint: when you're talking about a figure, especially when you're listing it's flaws, you really should show more of it, maybe different angles, show the face in a close-up, etc. Sometimes I don't know the figure you're talking about and you only show them for like 5 seconds. That's not enough.
I hate the Constable Zuvio figure with a passion. That damn figure was literally all I could find for a full year in stores when the Black Series of TFA figures were "released". Hasbro had major distribution issues, but is improving with the Rogue One figures with their distribution.
I finally had to break down and buy a Zuvio if for no other reason than he was dirt cheap and it took one more off the shelves. It's not a bad figure of a design that I DO NOT like. I hate his giant face.
One of my worst fears regarding this collection is that when Hasbro finally releases the long-awaited General Grievous figure, it will be a major disappointment. That character has been a hit-or-miss for Hasbro. The ones from Tartakovsky's Clone Wars and the Vintage Collection have been the only good ones in my opinion.
I assume you're referring to POTF2 Leia from 1995 aka "Monkey Face" aka "Anthony Kedis" Leia. Looks worse in person than it does in these photos: jedibusiness.com/figureDetails.aspx?id=1411
yeppers that's the one. Had a seller with a 45.00$ price at a toy show he said the Monkey faced version was rare. I laughed walking away obviously he didn't know his stuff either.
EW Vader's head sculpt is vastly improved over the original release. A little black paint and some futzing with the soft goods and EW Vader is the centerpiece of my collection. No, we shouldn't have to do that sort of thing, but an hour's worth of easy work and I have the awesome Vader this line promised. Can't argue with your list though.
My Poe Dameron (from the two pack) looks strikingly like Oscar Isaac. Perhaps I just got the lucky draw, but it actually looks quite nice and accurate to the actor and character.
Dude, i SO love the black series, too! I really thought the 3 3/4 black series was a kinda cool, kinda fucked cash grab. Like "Hey, we'll make figs like back in 70s/80s, cheaper and w old school articulation. But we'll make more expensive ones in two sizes, for way more $, and make it seem for "collectors", then quit the small ones, leaving suckers to buy the large, $$$ ones. Ha, ha, ha, ha!!!" And i feel a sucker for buying em. Ugh.
I once almost got electrocuted to death in a futuristic helmet store. Our lists are pretty similar to each other, but different enough to know that they're not related. So if they wanna bang, they totally could without it being weird.
The thing about futuristic helmet stores is that... if you're actually IN one... it's not futuristic anymore. It's nowistic. You're always going to be chasing that futuristic one... and you can never have it.
+Toy Galaxy what I usually do is just put myself in a box, drink some poison.. Or don't... Until I enter a state of quantum flux. Then I can be both in the futuristic helmet store and not be in it. Unless I really took the poison. Then I'd just be dead.
my worst one was commander cody I bought 3 different ones and all 3 had their heads just fall off no matter how I put them back on. I just wasn't ment to be... so it got super glued.
I'd put Obi-Wan, whose head is way too small, near or at the top of the list. I'd also give an honorable mention to the First Order Stormtrooper because of the abysmal elbow articulation. But I like the Palpatine figure. For whatever reason, the hood conforms perfectly on mine. Great call on Vader, though. What a missed opportunity.
You’re really gonna get mad Yoda has a lightsaber? C’mon, all you have to do is take the belt off and he looks like Prequel Yoda. He’s a Jedi, he needs a lightsaber! Also how did Episode III Obi-Wan not make the list? His head is way too small and his skin is way too pale.
it is funny with distribution when the walgreens vader was first released i couldn't find it,now it is shelf warming,i picked one up just cause it was nice to see something new. i have to disagree about farmboy luke,i got him recently and i love the cloth goods on it,i like bespin luke as well for the same reasons you do,but i must have every luke no matter what.
Their channel is jumping in subs every month. They're doing it on their own. They're showing that they can make it in this cruel world without signing up to work for the man.
I totally agree with you on the Luke Skywalker figures. The Bespin Luke Skywalker is my favorite of his uniforms, but those head sculpt's are horrible. Wish I could swap the head from his X-Wing figure.
Update the list - add Cassian Andor as #1. He is one of the worst pegwarmers in Star Wars history. I think about 10 people bought it. It went down to $3 on amazon in under a month. It's gone up to $7 but still
I actually generally like the slave Leia… not because of her outfit but I thought it was good. Other than that yeah I definitely agree with this list. In my area it is harder than learning the ways of the Jedi to find figures but that Constable Zuvio is everywhere!! I always feel like, it's watching me
I really don't mind the Slave Leia THAT much. I give her a harsher grade because they really needed to nail that face paint and the paint master that they showed as a preview looked SO good (google it and you'll see photos).
BS Vader just needed his helm tilted forward over the brow and some gloss paint on it. I did it, and despite the ridiculous chain, it looks a whole lot better. Thankfully my soft goods look a little more tailored than other examples
I have the Walgreens exclusive Vader.. I agree you really cant use him for much but lets be fair as collectors that isnt being removed from the box and if it is like mine hes in the back of the shelf up against the wall
repaint the helmet on the Walgreens Vader. One of the best sculpt work in the 6 inch form. Done and done. All it needs is a good coat or 3 of black and it infinitely becomes one of the better TBS figures out there.
Looks like I'm going to have to at least try it. Too many people have suggested that now. That said, even if it comes out AWESOME... I can't move it up the list because they didn't deliver it that way. THAT said... maybe they're thinking about reissuing it for Rogue One with a painted helmet.
+Toy Galaxy Of course. I hate fixing mistakes in a consumer product I spent good money on as well. However, I like doing custom work all the time (when I have the extra cash because collecting and costumes, is expensive, customs being the costlier endeavor) I have no issues though with doing my own paint jobs. Up to intense weathering. Both Vaders are both kinda shit in their own ways, but combining the best of both and adding some primer and paints, you get the best of both and have a definitive version of the character. And since I am not a "line oriented" collector....I don't care if I have to make the whole figure myself, I want a definitive version if I am buying only based on my attachment to said character,
I blame Hasbro. Never knew it had a different head sculpt until the commenters on this video pointed it out. I guess, at this point, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they reissue him with the better head (not translucent) for his appearance in Rogue One.
I think vader with removable helmet is not as bad. The helmet is a little strange looking, but overall not a bad figure. The face-sculpt is actually really good!
That head....that head...true. The Hoth Luke is solid though. My Lamb hates Bespin Luke as well...nasty little fella though, hates most people real and fictional. "Porpoises"....Dolphinish?
I would say it is EXTRA the worst because Hasbro made the decision to reissue a BETTER head that you have to finish yourself to even recognize that it's a better head. I don't work for Hasbro. The ruling stands.
The kick in the teeth is that the helmet proportions of the Walgreen's exclusive Vader is 100% better than the normal Vader since it's not removable. Seriously, have you seen it painted black?
I have to disagree on the Wrath Vader. Sure the funky purple head was...odd. But once repainted with proper coloring, WOW is it leaps better than any of the current Vaders (I'm not including the model kit, since its you know....a model).
Sure, but still. It's the best looking sculpt they have done for Vader yet. I do admit the first attempt was....terrible. Nothing about it made me pick it up.
How is the god awful Ep. 3 Obi-Wan not the #1 worst figure??? Jabba which is actually a beautiful figure somehow made it on the list (because it didn't come with accessories?) yet this crime against humanity goes unmentioned?! For shame!
I agree with this list and especially Darth Vader's cloth goods were disgusting and lucky for me I was able to get someone to customize mine, but the Walgreens exclusive figure has a better helmet sculpt especially when you paint it black. But I feel Rey should have been on this list as they executed the main character for the new movies poorly. No paint wash, terrible articulation, brown plastic with pale paint on top which you can see the plastic come through on the paint and it looks nothing like daisy Ridley. I was so dissapointed with this figure, more so than I was with Vader. I'm just glad Hasbro did a better job with jynn from rogue one.
I agree that the Vader looks terrible out of the package, but if you pop his head off, tuck in his cape and chain, and put back on his head, it looks a lot better. That's how I display him.
Yoda is still a myth to me because I've never seen one in person. As for the lightning strike darth vader I think it was one of the dumbest figures ever produced.
The Walgreens Vader actually has an improved helmet sculpt. If you give it a few quick coats of black paint and some silver for the helmet details, it will look at least 10 times better than the original "mopey" faced Vader, if not more. But if you left it as the clear blue, then yeah, it is well deserving of the worst in the line.
Yeah a few people have mentioned that but... the way I see it is THEY make the figures, *I* pay for finished pieces. I'm not buying a model kit here. I'm hoping they do a Vader re-release with the improved helmet cast in black for Rogue One.
A re-release for Rogue One would be great! Not all collectors want to mess with their figures, and they shouldn't have to, so it would be a better option for everyone. I was just impatient for Hasbro to deliver, so I decided to do a little customizing, and am definitely pleased with the results.
You're not alone. It seems like a pretty common thing that people figured out. I just don't see why I should have to do their work for them. Could they not have given you BOTH helmets? One electrocuted and one cast all in black?
This list must have been hard because Star Wars black series is pretty bad. I'm lucky that I only collect certain ones and they're all good. Kanan, Ahsoka, Jyn, Orson Krennic
I actually like Palpatine and Vader...sure they weren't perfect and Palpatine was easily one of the biggest disappointments of the line but I still think its an ok figure. And Vader I'm mainly biased on as he's my favorite character but i thought the soft goods were actually pretty good..the helmet is pretty bad though
I have no issue with Vader's cape being cloth. I think that was the right move. It's the way it connects to the armor. Such a weird engineering design. I had to tuck mine into the neck hole to make it even kind of look ok.
Toy Galaxy Huh I though the stitching to the armor would be bad when I got mine but I don't mind it as much as I thought. It looks good if you have the cape draped around his shoulders and arms. But it looks super ugly if you want to have the cape behind his shoulders for more action poses. I agree it was a weird engineering choice though.
Hasbro has forgotten how to make good toys. Unless you pay a 500% mark up , then maybe. But with Haslab and Pulse gouging consumers , they've become a laughing stock. Hasbro is finished making anything worthy.
Why do you show the figures for like half a second wtf??!
He’s gotta make sure the star is in the shot
Have they made a burned Anakin Skylwalker yet that has detachable limbs? That probably deserves the Black Series treatment.
They have not. Which is surprising.
I remember when revenge of the Smith came out i got this small burnt to a crisp Anakin that was accurate to the movie with only his robot arm present and the others were chopped and burnt off. At the time I was shocked at how detailed it was
The photos of the toy should stay while you're talking about it.
raikutsu918 Seconded.
Or a close up on the face sculpt!
I find it frustrating too.
That's my only criticism with this channel, but it's constant. They never show the thing they're talking about for for than a couple seconds. Weird choice
The way he mentions his own name and this point you mentioned he seems a little like a narcissist
"She's not called Slave Leia anymore."
5. Slave Leia.
It’s a shame Slave Leia came out before the face-printing tech.
It’s a shame they won’t re make her
Least favorite Black Series figures? That's like a list of the least favorite slices of bacon or least favorite twenty dollar bill.
"For all intended porpoises 🐬" 😁Nice 👍
I actually like the Walgreen’s exclusive Vader 😂
I think Episode 3 Obi-Wan deserves an honourable mention.
I expected that as number 1. Looks nothing like him, refuse to display him
And I was going to buy him since I only have one black series figure. :/
What is "Episode 3?"
+Toy Galaxy I heard it was some mysterious video that Mr Plinkett shows to you before he murders you.
Then why did you buy a figure you don't like in the first place?
Dan, when you are talking about a figure's appearance it would help to see the actual figure instead of your face so that we can understand what the hell you're talking about.
I’m planning on going to my local Walmart with a bit of money and buying black series figures so I needed to know what NOT to buy...
I personally love Black Series Darth Vader! :D He's one of my favourite Star Wars figures ever!
Aidan Farren-Hart me too! Mine turned out okay!
The new released one for the 40th anniversary is just bad ass !!!
Fax
loving the videos guys. it'd be cool to see something like this about the 90's Playmates Star Trek figures
I actually like the helmet sculp of the Emperor's wrath Vader better than the original Vader helmet. I found the wrath Vader at my local comic shop for $12 and then gave him a repaint to look more like the traditional Vader. Love the video, very entertaining. Awesome that you kept the blooper in!
Thank you!
This has quickly become one of my favorite channels on YT
me too.
Agreed. Agreedo? A greedo?
It's my favorite Toy-related channel, absolutely.
They should have a sobbing Luke Skywalker figure balled up in a fetal position. Call Depressed luke and package it as a Target exclusive.
ionicblood666 two pack with anakin whining in diapers. Lol
Thanks! Producer Greg and I just try to have fun and make each other laugh. Hopefully that fun comes through and other people can laugh as well.
I really liked Poe Dameron in 2016 too.
*Sigh
I remember when I got my Vader, I ordered it online and if felt strange to me so I went on a huge search about how to tell if I had a bootleg figure or not 😂 turns out he's not...
The bespin Luke outfit is also my favorite...well played!!!
The 2017 Vader looks awesome
STARWARS Collector yeah. I wish the helmet is still removable.
you mean the 40 anniversary Darth Vader
Zuvio actually IS in The Force Awakens but for a few seconds when Rey throws him off his own speeder. Riveting.
His name should be "Constable Red Herring."
one of my favorite is Boba Fett I am so glad they finally made his father I think those are the two best figures by Hasbro right now
I love the "losing a hand" pic
I just discovered your channel and I really like your show! Just a hint: when you're talking about a figure, especially when you're listing it's flaws, you really should show more of it, maybe different angles, show the face in a close-up, etc. Sometimes I don't know the figure you're talking about and you only show them for like 5 seconds.
For the yoda they should have added a dirty and muddy R2
One of my worst fears regarding this collection is that when Hasbro finally releases the long-awaited General Grievous figure, it will be a major disappointment. That character has been a hit-or-miss for Hasbro. The ones from Tartakovsky's Clone Wars and the Vintage Collection have been the only good ones in my opinion.
Yeah I wouldn't hold my breath for that Grievous. They can't get Threepio out, I don't know what it's going to take to get a Grievous done.
It was funny his take on SLAVE Leia does anyone remember the figure that was and is listed on Ebay as dog faced Leia?
I assume you're referring to POTF2 Leia from 1995 aka "Monkey Face" aka "Anthony Kedis" Leia. Looks worse in person than it does in these photos: jedibusiness.com/figureDetails.aspx?id=1411
yeppers that's the one. Had a seller with a 45.00$ price at a toy show he said the Monkey faced version was rare. I laughed walking away obviously he didn't know his stuff either.
Funny again as always. We need to get this channel promoted in some way! It's amazing. Thank you and Producer Greg for all you do!
Very appreciated. Thanks for helping spread the awareness.
I agree that collectors have made that piece really nice buuuut... yeah. I gotta judge it based on what they put on the shelf.
Vintage collection is the best line for Star Wars figures.
rka rox for their scale, no doubt.
The Yoda was remade in the archive wave and it was a HUGE upgrade, of which I am confused was not shown in this video.
This video is from 2016.
your channel deserves more attention
My Poe Dameron (from the two pack) looks strikingly like Oscar Isaac. Perhaps I just got the lucky draw, but it actually looks quite nice and accurate to the actor and character.
I would say yes, you got lucky with a decent piece.
lol Your Worst Lists are hilarious! I need more Worst Lists!
It's hard because I think they are funny but they are also a bit negative and I just hate being negative.
Dude, i SO love the black series, too! I really thought the 3 3/4 black series was a kinda cool, kinda fucked cash grab. Like "Hey, we'll make figs like back in 70s/80s, cheaper and w old school articulation. Dangerous move. You might get sorted with the outgoing recyclables.
Is nobody going to mention the fact that Luke is wielding a fuckin' golf club? ;)
You should make an updated list, but based on the execution of the figures rather than their bad circumstances
my worst one was commander cody I bought 3 different ones and all 3 had their heads just fall off no matter how I put them back on. I just wasn't ment to be... so it got super glued.
should I buy the marvel legends bad wave or isn't it worth it?
I'd put Obi-Wan, whose head is way too small, near or at the top of the list. I'd also give an honorable mention to the First Order Stormtrooper because of the abysmal elbow articulation. But I like the Palpatine figure. For whatever reason, the hood conforms perfectly on mine. Great call on Vader, though. What a missed opportunity.
Wow dude you're getting a lot of subs now I've subscribed since 200 subs. :)
Thanks for sticking around!
You're welcome! :D
Hello there, I'm from the future 🔮 and they now have a digital print of their faces now making them look fabulous 😉
I am even more futuristic, stand down
I liked you Constable Zuvio. I forget what it said in his bio, but at the time I got the impression that he was a badass lawman.
the only thing Greedo always known for is The Showdown one hand solo in A New Hope
Palpatine was a peg warmer for 2 years at my local Walmart
it is funny with distribution when the walgreens vader was first released i couldn't find it,now it is shelf warming,i picked one up just cause it was nice to see something new. i have to disagree about farmboy luke,i got him recently and i love the cloth goods on it,i like bespin luke as well for the same reasons you do,but i must have every luke no matter what.
How is Rose Tico not on here? Every target I go to has nothing but Rose on display. She should have taken number 1 spot.
how on earth does this channel have so few subs??? Maybe you need to sign with a network or something.
Networks don't help a lot they simply take a pretty large cut of the profits
I was thinking the exact same, since I discovered this channel it's one of my favorites, this guy is really funny
Do the 3 S's to help
Share, suscribe and maybe send money
Their channel is jumping in subs every month. They're doing it on their own. They're showing that they can make it in this cruel world without signing up to work for the man.
Ainselee Haroot holy shit I just commented that hahaha
I totally agree with you on the Luke Skywalker figures. The Bespin Luke Skywalker is my favorite of his uniforms, but those head sculpt's are horrible. Wish I could swap the head from his X-Wing figure.
I'm down-voting, because you show us a few seconds of a small picture for each figure. How can we decide if its the worst or not?
Update the list - add Cassian Andor as #1. He is one of the worst pegwarmers in Star Wars history. I think about 10 people bought it. It went down to $3 on amazon in under a month. It's gone up to $7 but still

What's wrong with double jointed elbows the SHF line of figures use them and they work fine
And now they went the exact opposite route for Walgreen's exclusives with the new one. OOPS.
Lol dude this video made my day love your reviews and material star material keep em coming!
Thank you very much!
"Darth Vader Being Murdered"Holy Christ Almighty, that was too funny
Thanks!
I kinda like the Yoda fig.😬
That's a snake?? I thought it was Christmas Yoda.
repaint the helmet on the Walgreens Vader. One of the best sculpt work in the 6 inch form. Done and done. All it needs is a good coat or 3 of black and it infinitely becomes one of the better TBS figures out there.

The Target 2 pack Poe Dameron was pretty good. The Last jedi one not so much as with the one in his flight suit.
I know I'm not the first to say it, but I agree with the Walgreens Vader. The fact that it actually has a better sculpt is more insulting...
I blame Hasbro. Never knew it had a different head sculpt until the commenters on this video pointed it out. I guess, at this point, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they reissue him with the better head (not translucent) for his appearance in Rogue One.

Walgreens Darth Vader is not the worst over regular DV because the headsculpt is actually great (you just have to prime and paint it).
I would say it is EXTRA the worst because Hasbro made the decision to reissue a BETTER head that you have to finish yourself to even recognize that it's a better head. I don't work for Hasbro. The ruling stands.
What's wrong with Ep. 5&6 Yoda having a light-sabre? Just because we didn't see it...
Edit: but then you suggest a Jawa or Ugnaut would make sense? 😐
The kick in the teeth is that the helmet proportions of the Walgreen's exclusive Vader is 100% better than the normal Vader since it's not removable. Seriously, have you seen it painted black?
I have not seen it painted black but I seem to be the only one who hasn't. And since we're on the topic... who does that? Dick move, Hasbro.
Watching this video, I feel ashamed for having the Walgreens exclusive Darth Vader figure. All they did was made his head translucent.
Turns out that head is a different sculpt though.
I have to disagree on the Wrath Vader. Sure the funky purple head was...odd. But once repainted with proper coloring, WOW is it leaps better than any of the current Vaders (I'm not including the model kit, since its you know....a model).
Yeah but... shouldn't Hasbro have to paint it?
Sure, but still. It's the best looking sculpt they have done for Vader yet. I do admit the first attempt was....terrible. Nothing about it made me pick it up.
How is the god awful Ep. 3 Obi-Wan not the #1 worst figure??? Jabba which is actually a beautiful figure somehow made it on the list (because it didn't come with accessories?) yet this crime against humanity goes unmentioned?! For shame!
Cloth, face, his elbows.... roflmgdfao!!! This needs to be on Palpatines headstone. Keep up the amazing work!
i liked the Lukes and Palpatine...😟😟
Maybe it's a figure-to-figure thing because I didn't have any issues with my Rey. I thought she was a very pleasant figure.
+Toy Galaxy I bought three and all had missing paint to the point where I wanted to scream.
I agree that the Vader looks terrible out of the package, but if you pop his head off, tuck in his cape and chain, and put back on his head, it looks a lot better. That's how I display him.
That's how mine is. Not sure if you can tell in the video.
Yoda is still a myth to me because I've never seen one in person. As for the lightning strike darth vader I think it was one of the dumbest figures ever produced.
The Black Series Action Figures: Disney's latest attempt at another Star Wars cash-grab
i looked at my yoda, and i didnt even know they were double jointed. it barely goes past 90 degrees. i still like the figure though.
Someone else pointed it out to me after I owned it for a few weeks.
Ok so it's not just my local store who doesn't restock starwars ever . Ok got it
To have a Top Ten you need at least ten of something. You could also have a Top Ten with eleven of something.
In the pic of Bespin Luke, where is that golf club accessory from?
I do not know. It was just in a bag of accessories that I picked up at some point. Maybe a Casey Jones figure?
I literally cannot find a problem with any of these.
This guy has some crazy voice inflections
First order stormtrooper needed to be in this list
This list must have been hard because Star Wars black series is pretty bad. I'm lucky that I only collect certain ones and they're all good. Kanan, Ahsoka, Jyn, Orson Krennic
I am swapping the new Yavin Luke head onto Bespin Luke so that he will finally be what he should have been
ESB 40th anniversary line is coming very soon and features Bespin Luke with the new face printing tech!
Darth Deuces
Hasbro has forgotten how to make good toys. Unless you pay a 500% mark up , then maybe. But with Haslab and Pulse gouging consumers , they've become a laughing stock. Hasbro is finished making anything worthy.
