This is a nice video, though I think it'd be worth mentioning that The Bikini Bottom Massacre's original upload was taken down for copyright (though, reuploads of the mod are available, I know that because I have a copy of it).
Zombie doom was a faithful adaptation of George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead! One of my favorites mods of all time! It definitely wasn’t just a kill them all then leave - you did have to just run at times. It was zombie survival. I believe it was finished but it was in the early dos days of doom 2 so it probably doesn’t run completely right on new systems. Loved this vid! Wish I knew about western doom back in the day!
@@PeacocksEye ah yeah that makes a lot of sense. I might have to try it on a different doom launcher (I used gzdoom on my Mac). Maybe it’ll work better on the Doom and Doom 2 on my steam deck.
thanks for the video! the Abysm series is definitely a blast , that uses a lot of cozy references to many games that warm the heart when playing them . althou the maps tend to be empty of detail , the gameplay the provide is immersive enough. the games feel more like some extention to hexen/heretic rather doom ,which gave me about 40 hours of gameplay ,and its highly recommended.
i gave up on the second game due to how it tries to justify its rpg elements by throwing too many enemies at you so you can level up, but you always end up running out of ammo and having to go back at the shops to buy ammo mid mission, game is not balanced.
@@arkgaharandan5881 Its not probably gonna change a lot, but there was an update that I released months ago that rebalances a ton of stuff. While i don't agree, I Appreciate the the honest feedback.
the sprites cut off because this mod is ancient and it was suppose to run on 4:3 monitors. also mikeys tobox has ton of good doom mods, too bad he deleted dynamite duchess.

21:49 im pretty sure its an automatic mosin nagant or something which make it more bizzare
Brutal Doom or Project Brutality make Doom so, so much more fun for someone without nostalgia goggles.
Yoow, thank so much for trying out Abysm 2.

Can’t believe I never figured out it the 4:3 connection! Makes a ton of sense!
Are any of these on the enhanced edition mod browser?
I actually haven’t dabbled with mods in that to be honest. I’ll have to give it a try for a future video.
Alrighty
Custy Crab?! lol
@@happycomicsinc definitely said that, didn’t I 😅
@@thereviewsbrothers3854 Brain was not braining I guess.
The font on the thumbnail made me think it said Id Doom mods. I was like, they made the game, do these count as mods? 😅
@@theradioactiveboar ha. Now you’ve said that, it’s all I can see!
