    Wow, David, your latest video on the China-Laos High-Speed Train was amazing! The train looks so luxurious and comfortable, and the fact that it travels up to 160 km/h is incredible. I was impressed by the clean and slick interior and exterior of the train, which is a testament to how recently it was built. I read that the China-Laos Railway project was a massive undertaking, with 75 tunnels and 77 bridges built through the mountainous jungle terrain of northern Laos. It's great to see that the railway has been running as a domestic service since its opening, and that Laos has recently reopened its borders for international travel. I can't wait to experience this train for myself and explore Laos. Thanks for sharing this amazing video, David!

    We also just lauched KCIC (Kereta Cepat Indonesia Cina or Indonesian Chinese High-speed Train) here in Indonesia Bandung - Jakarta only 20 minutes with 350 km per hour speed 🚄 😊😆

      Jakarta bandung rail project started the same time with india japanese high speed project. Indonesia’s project cost 1/3rd the price and completed while india japan project completed 1km only😂😂😂. So happy for Indonesia for making the right decision. India always make mistake over and over again losing so much money😂😂

      It's not a high speed train, only a semi high speed train. The first high-speed train in Southeast Asia and the Southern Hemisphere will be launched in Indonesia this month. Route Jakarta - Bandung at a speed of 350kph

      @@blardymunggas6884At a top speed of 100 mph and an average speed of 70 mph the train is excellent. Not to split hairs but high speed rail's standard top speed begins at a minimum 155 mph. There are three HSR systems in the US. CAHSR is under construction. In the planning stage are Brightline West and Texas Central.
      There are faster trains in the US. The Acela Express travels at a top speed of 150 mph on 50 miles of the route with the average speed on the DC-NY route being 80 mph. The Brightline in Florida has a top speed of 125 mph with an average speed of 78 mph.
      Neither of these two railways are HSR but neither is the beautiful Laos Railway which has much to be proud of. It is a very nice faster speed or higher speed passenger train.

      @@reivell3699A mere miillion bombs is less than one per capita. That is a far-fetched reason for not being hsr. The reason it's semi-hsr is because that's what economically makes sense to construct and operate. lt's used 70% for mostly Chinese freight. There are but 5 daily passenger trains and not all go the full route's distance.
      For hsr there would have had to have been probably double track rather than the single trackage, especially when the route is 45% tunnels. lt is a very good appropriately designed train and undetonated bombs have no relevance. Sorry Laos had the Ho Chi Minh trial and that America went to war stupidly in Southeast Asia.

    Japanese and Laotian architectures are heavily influenced by Chinese architectures goes back hundreds of years.
    I understand that in Australia, schools there don't teach you much about Chinese cultures.
    The design of this trains station obviously contains a lot of characteristics of traditional Chinese architecture.

      @@stevens1041 Buddhism from India extinct over 800 years ago. Chinese Buddhism incorporated Confucianism and Taoism which otherwise would not be easily accepted in a Confucian society. It then spread to Vietnam, Korea and Japan. Lao Buddhism is similar to South East Asian Buddhism that evolves after it disappeared from India.

    imagine Australia's desert having a 360 kph (223.7 mph) HSR Train (built by China) going from Melbourne to Sydney, 953 km (592 mi)
    a trip taking 3 to 4 hours (average)
    affordable
    have breakfast, take the train
    arrive in time for lunch!
    instead of:
    a long trip
    by car on the road
    or
    a slower train by rail

    I believe you are travelling business class not first class. First class seats are capsules and they are right at the front of the train with standard western toilet option. :)

    Hello, I wish to confess that of all the videos that have been made from this station that I have watched - [ THIS IS THE BEST ] - Sometime ago - when first opened this Australian fella made some videos - but they were krap - too many complaints as to what they should or should not do etc etc - So Thanks Very Much for the Video from LAOS - I am next deoor but due to age - I can only virtual travel - I look forward to the day - when I can see the journey from the Cab of the Train -- Now that would be something extra special - Much Thanks for your efforts

    to be honest, Laos was hopeless before this train came out, no one would invest in laos, now at least there are hope, and we can see investment are going in, it maybe difficult for Laos to pay for the train, but I believes China is a generous creditor

      The Vietnam's first Metro Urban Light Rail was built by China, It started operating on November 6, 2021.
      The Japanese and Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding on the railway’s development in 2006. Still not finish after more than a decade. Seemingly the Vietnamese is getting very impatience after seeing the great success of the Laos Rail project.

    I'm here to correct the misinformation regarding this railway line. No jealousy nor anything..
    This railway line tbh caused a lot of trouble for Indonesian trust in its first high-speed rail project. So in 2016, China said that JKT-BDG high-speed railway would be the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. Chinese HSR constructor promised that JKT-BDG HSR could finish by 2019, but as land acquisitions were challenging and due to the global pandemic the schedule was late until 2023. So these small mistakes are used by the opposition of Jokowi (politics and stuff) to make misleading information about the China-Laos railway line and said that this railway is the actual first high-speed railway in SEA, not the Jakarta-Bandung HSR. Well of course this is totally wrong.
    So both of the railways use Fuxing type train, Chinese homegrown high-speed train. These series of trains are categorized into 3 series of CR200J, CR300AF, and CR400AF. The numbering on the name is showing how fast these trains could go. E.g. CR200J can go up to 200km/h, CR300AF could go up to 300km/h, and so on. The train Laos uses is the CR200J series which can go as fast as 200km/h but is limited to 160km/h due to safety reasons. To be categorized as a "High-speed train" a train should run at a minimum of 250km/h for a brand new built track just like the Laos-China railway. That's the CR300 and CR400 that come into play.
    So, as we can see Laos-China Railway cannot categorized as a high-speed rail service but more of semi high-speed rail. On the other hand, JKT-BDG HSR can still maintain its position as the first high-speed rail service in SEA with a maximum operational speed of 350km/h. As far as I know, Thailand also planning to use the Fuxing series of CR300AF with a top operating speed of 250km/h of its HSR line. Good for them. And actually it would be shameful for China to say China-Laos Railway as a first HSR in SEA because yet all of these 3 railway lines uses Chinese railway system & technology. wkwk..

      It can be rotated and runs in the opposite direction after the train reaches the terminal. The staff will reverse the seat to ensure that the passengers face forward.

    Most people don't know where the high technologies, rails and trains came from. Those came from China.
    The fastest quietest safest trains in the world are made in China and by China's engineers. Their technologies surpassed the Wests' technologies in some areas. The Westerners bagan to copy their works without paying China anything.
    Lao governments bought the technologies, building works, rails and trains from China. They are a part of One Bell Initiative created by president Xi Ping of China. It's similar to Silk Road that happened long time ago to open trades between neighbors and countries all over the world.
    China are the first ones who truly have been helping people in different countries all over the world. It doesn't matter if they are communists, tyrants or democrats. It doesn't matter if they are poor or rich.
    Loas are modernizing their country with China's helps.

      Laos didn’t buy the China technology. Laos went in debt to get the bullet heads from china, in fact the Chinese even brought their own labor workers as well as materials into Lao. This is the reason why Laos still can’t build their own tracks until date. Buying technology is when you will know how to build the whole transit infrastructure from scratch, unfortunately this isn’t the case for Laos. Though must says the Chinese did a good job and update Laos to better development in public transport.

      @@beelouwill303 Loas had to get into debts with China in order to build their country. Debts are similar to buying except you get the goods now and pay them later on in exchanges of goods. You don't have money to pay them right away. That is only way to build the country. They didn't have rail road system in places at the beginning. China had to build every thing from scratches.
      I don't think Laos can build the rail road systems and the trains on their own. It takes years to master the experiences and to produce the highest quality in the world with economical prices. The Westerners can't master those skills.
      I think they are good for people in Loas.

      Spare the bull. Yeah they only helping to boost their own economy and increase it influence. They probably don't care for the people. These poorer countries goes into huge debt and probably can't even pay it. It called China debt trap. Look at Sir lanka whom went to economics crisis one of the reason was the debt amount owed to China. China agression and threats toward neighboring countries. They tried to claim property and trespassing on border that are not theirs. I mean it enough for countries like Phillipines, Japan, S.Korea, Taiwan milliary to prepare themselves. They've sent their spy balloons to the USA. And a Chinese spy was caught earlier this year stealing advance aerospace and satellite tech.

When China built freight train & fast train to Laos, suddenly some people so concern & said "thats a debt trap to laos"... The fact these kind people never really care to any one, just for showing its 'fake' care. They just dislike about China, let them live with hatred on their own, for rest of their life...

      Are you referring to a most catastrophic train accident in India ? On 2 June 2023, three trains collided in the Eastern Indian state of Odisha, killing over 300 people and injuring over 1,100 passengers Many still unidentified as a large number of them were on board without buying tickets.
      Or the twice collapsed Mega size Bihar's Bhagalpur bridge in 2 years: Why this bridge keeps collapsing after struggling for decades to finish it ?
