Sam Raimi hated the script for SM4 and he was basically being held gunpoint by Sony during Spider Man 3, so Lesson of the story is Sony screws things up
@@alexmapp5444 yeah. Sony is not the most reasonable partnership in the studio world. But at least they’re not Disney, those guys are absolute scumbags
Swan Lake being played over Toomes rapidly aging in the restaurant bathroom is just amazing! It’s both haunting and elegant at the same time. Almost like a horror movie.
He gave a lot of good horror movie vibes. Especially with his de-aging and attack on the scientist happening during a lightning storm, and the "grunts of pain and pleasure" as he drained his life away.
That kind of demented horror imagery is inspired directly by Sam Raimi's horror movie background and that classic Doc Ock operating table scene from Spider-Man 2.
I really loved what you did with this version of Spider-Man 4. With both the post-credits scene and the fact that Venom is still an option in your version of the Raimiverse, I would love to see what you would do with Spider-Man 5
Okay. . THIS. .is the best Spider-Man Fanscription. . I got a soft spot for the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies. .and this was just a treat. Especially coming off your Spider-Man 3 episode. . the vampire/Dracula take on Vulture was definitely a take I didn't expect, but really enjoyed, it actually kind of reminded me of how Vulture was portrayed in the 90s Animated show. Peter's arc of learning to move on and trust others really shined through, especially considering how in previous movies, and your fanscription people Peter thought he could trust ended up becoming his worst enemies, and a story about learning to trust again, especially after the death of MJ. The take on Black Cat is definitely different compared to other portrayals, but it was a nice depiction none the less. And that reveal of Miles Warren suddenly being alive. . Gave me chills. . and knowing WHO Miles Warren is in the comics. . I am MORE THAN EXCITED TO SEE YOU TACKLE A SEQUEL FANSCRIPTION TO THIS. . Spider-Man 5. . . THE CLONE SAGA. . I'm looking forward to that.
I too enjoyed the Dracula take on Vulture. Wish they had gone a little bit further by perhaps emulating additional popular vampiric tropes. Specifically, bats. There are two ways this could work... 1) Special blade-like feathers on Vulture's wings can detach and fly around him like a swarm of bats via an artificially generated magnetic field. These feathers can then be launched towards targets with deadly speed by reversing the polarity of the field. Vulture is able to recall the feathers by returning the magnetic field's polarity to normal, even repositioning some onto his forearms to use as melee weapons. 2) Vulture could use a series of special bird-like drones, the V-Drones, modified from more commercialized drones developed by his company. Though lacking any significant weapons, the V-Drones ram into their targets with significant speed and force, using their sharp wings, beaks, and talons to inflict serious damage. Due to their lightly armored fragile frames, the V-Drones rely on hit-and-run/ambush tactics and numbers to overwhelm stronger targets. In terms of how Vulture drains the youth of his victims, it may have something to do with Telomeres. Telomeres are the ends of chromosomes that protect the chromosomes from damage and make sure our DNA is copied properly during cellular division; growing shorter and shorter each time a person's cells divide. This indicates the person is getting older, as once the Telomeres are too short, their cells can no longer divide and become inactive. Vulture's youth drain probably involves him artificially rejuvenating his own Telomeres by stealing them from others. Since Telomeres also help a person's DNA retain their genetic information, this could also explain how Vulture gains Spider-Man's Powers since his body is absorbing the mutated genetic information Peter's DNA has.
I think he’s all three. My guess is that he’s one of those small time actors who wanted a huge career but never reached stardom. He probably robs whatever establishment he works at once he’s been there long enough
I think so, but I think making Mysterio as just a cameo was a mistake. I’ve always felt that Mysterio was strong enough a villain to carry his own movie (hence Far From Home)
Man, if they announced this tomorrow, I’d have more hype than No Way Home. Even then, I’m only interested in it for the old actors. This seems like a legitimately good script and execution. Definitely want to see Campbell as Mysterio.
57:37 “I’ve been on the move my whole life. Couldn’t stop now if I wanted to… besides, I’m wanted in every state from here to Ohio.” “Wait, what?!” 🤣🤣🤣
You know, we get a lot of stories of Spider-Man still young and fresh. I think a great thing we could see is a seasoned Spider-Man well into his superhero days grappling his impending old age and other crises that come with it. We’ve seen what it could be like with Into the Spider-Verse and that interpretation, it could be interesting to see an older Toby McGuire or someone of similar caliber go through this. Regardless, I love this fanscription! It was intriguing from start to finish and I’m sold on checking out your other videos!
@@darthcinema4262 I’ve played that one and I absolutely loved it. I meant more along the lines of a Spider-Man similar to the one Walter presented in this (maybe not as old, but approaching that age. Like an Old Man Logan, but with Peter)
@@tonybippitykaye Oh OK, I get it. Sort of a middle aged Spiderman who has plenty of experience. That would be a cool idea, especially if he made to be a bit darker and isn't as merciful as he usually is.
Future Fanscription ideas: 1) What if John Connor didn't die in "Terminator: Dark Fate"? 2) What if James Bond saved Vesper Lynd in "Casino Royale"? 3) What if the original "X-Men" (2000) was reimagined as a more modern MCU movie? 4) What if "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash" (as well as a shared cinematic universe featuring Michael Myers, Leatherface, Chucky, etc.) happened? 5) What if we fixed the Dark Universe?
I agree with 4 and 5, what do you think about What if the invisible man was in the monster squad as Dracula’s spy, what if there was no cult in Halloween the curse of Michael Myers, what if the Creeper takes Trish instead of Darius in Jeepers creepers, What if the Riddler and Penguin were in the Dark knight rises, what if the Moleman and Annihilus were the 2015 fantastic four movie and what if Superman can’t reverse time in the first movie?
@@srstriker6420 I like all of them for the most part. The only one I would truly tweak would be the Fantastic Four idea. I'd stick with Annihilus as the main villain and save the Mole Man for a future sequel. I can also see the Invisible Man serve as a Renfield type for Dracula. As for the Superman one, perhaps we can see Lana Lang become the new love interest going forward or Superman finding another way to bring back Lois. But I can dig all of these.
Thought of two more: What if Martin Riggs died at the end of "Lethal Weapon 2"? What if Martin Riggs saved Rika in "Lethal Weapon 2"? Both of these scenarios were considered in early drafts but were axed out of the final cut. Would be a good "What if" story either way.
Keep in mind spider-man 3’s production problems/raimi’s muddled original plans for the 3rd film and like it was said in the video Spider-man 3 originally wasn’t gonna be the final film but every one’s entitled to there own opinion I guess
@@thundersaAscam Spider-Man 3 turned out the way it did because of Sony. @@coltgun876 Ya I know Sony ruined the original plans for Spider-Man 3 *heavily* with Venom and all of that and I love Venom too but it just wasn’t gonna work great in Spider-Man 3 because like he said in the video there was already a lot going on in the movie which is a shame, I really would’ve loved to see the Vulture in Spider-Man 4 and possibly also the Lizard for Spider-Man 5 and maybe even Spider-Man 6 but alas we got what we got…
This was great, looking forward to a potential Spider-Man 5 or whatever else you guys have on the way. My cousin is a big fan of this series and I just sent him this and your Spider-Man 3 video to check out. Keep up the great work
The moment you added Warren...I knew what was going to happen. Also the idea of using David Tenant as Warren is genius, I could definitely see it. This was definitely an interesting idea and concept in its entirety!
Great story, love the themes you chose and how you grew Peter's characters. Only thing I felt was off was Vulture's death. It's fitting but I felt like he should have had spent his last moments begging for help before his aging body failed him. It would have tied into the theme of acceptance help and how Tomes kept betraying others to maintain his youth.
I love how you had Vulture learns Spider-Man’s identity. The villain learning the hero’s identity has been overdone and has become a cheap way of making the story more dramatic. But having Vulture learn who Spider-Man is moments before his death avoided those problems
10/10 love that you took the vulture idea from the cartoon show well done. Please make another story of this please Make your own spider man 5 with the post credit or with a story of the Lizard
I absolutely LOVED this!! I really hope you continue these. I'd like to see a Spider-Man 5 with The Lizard and possibly Spider-Man 6 with the black suit and Venom. Maybe have Scorpion as a cameo much like Mysterio was.
I really like the Swan Lake inclusion in the reveal that Toomes and Arthur are the same person. I would've loved to see that scene play out in theaters
Going into this without knowing all the Spider man characters I was extremely intrigued on who Arthur Avis (sp?) was... you are a great writer always keeping me hooked
After that post credit scene, you have to continue this with spiderman 5. I really enjoyed this, reminded me a little bit of darkman when it came to the vulture.
This was amazing! I had a moment around the mid point of the video thinking “where is this going?” Then the realisation that He was Adrian Tombs hit me like a truck. I’m very much looking forward to any more of these you want to make!
this changes everything even the one that dosent have venom is like im living in another reality and vulture story is good than just keatons vulture in mcu the plot and story arc of every characther is perfect
I thought this was incredible. I felt like all of these ideas were well implemented. I would love to see a continuation in a Spiderman 5 video, if you guys have more to write. Great job as always!
After Spider-Man 2, I wrote my own fanfic of a Spider-Man 3 where John Jameson would need saving from a return trip from orbit, leading directly into the symbiote storyline (and indirectly into other threads). John and MJ would be depicted as having stayed friends; leaving Peter and John to show a kind of distant respect for one another. During this, Harry would go through a truncated arc as Goblin, but then have scenes going through therapy with Dr. Hamilton. It’s tough to remember, now, because it was basically just a thumbnail script outline that I didn’t hold onto, but both Harry and Bart would don the Goblin outfit while Peter dealt with growing issues with the symbiote. The whole ordeal would also set up Jameson for becoming Man-Wolf, hence the illustrated fact of him being an astronaut (building on the mere mention we got in the finished movie that introduced the character). Brock would be shown uncovering the fact that Harry had terrorized as Goblin, but since Harry really was trying to put that bad chapter behind himself, Peter would help, using his own (somehow discovered/deduced) knowledge of Dr. Hamilton to save Harry’s reputation and (perhaps only inadvertently) discredit Eddie. Peter would separate from the symbiote near the end of the movie, introducing/teasing Venom in a fade to black that left Venom’s eyes briefly visible; and perhaps a mid/post-credits screen showing JJ III in a scene with the ruby that would eventually lead to his metamorphosis, though it wouldn’t be shown. Great video, liking the hypothesizing; have viewed several so far. These have certainly been better developed than my above scrap of an idea.
This was incredibly well done! I love the direction of the Vulture, definitely feels like a horror movie villain. I am curious what direction you'd take this story in if revisited. The end credit scene could definitely set up a Clone Saga-inspired film, I think it would also be cool if Raimi did a film that did Venom justice.
That was pretty well put together. I enjoyed every moment of it and I hope this continues one day. Until the time comes, I'll be waiting. As Stan Lee Once Said.... "Face Front True Believer."
56:23, Tooms chose...poorly. So glad you put the clip from Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade in this video. This is how you do a villian's death scene.
Overall very solid work here. Mary Jane's death has a major thematic impact on this story and Gwen's chemistry with Peter is very well-handled. The main highlight for me was the main villain: everything about him was unsetteling and terrifying and was portrayed as a very serious threat. The only thing I would have added would be at least a mention of Harry coming from Peter, as not only his actions had a lot of impact on Spidey's current state (with the murder of MJ) but he was also his best friend who betrayed him and died a homicidal lunatic. Once again, a very good what-if video, 8.5/10 coming from me.
First Batman Forever made by Tim Burton, then TASM 3, AND now this, you guys are killing these! Thank you I have no other words except, I have no words
This is a very good video you did a good job narrating the story. this felt like a real movie in my head and you also did a good job making it come alive. 👍🏾
@@_tonyvera look to be honest with you, I know I am in the minority but I really didn't enjoy spider verse that much. Other than the laggy frame rate I also thought the pacing was bad and the villain not that interesting. Again that's just me though most people love it
@@AionShanks That’s fine, I do agree it’s overrated, but I just like it. It’s a great movie that I whole heartedly enjoy. Then again I’m bias for cartoons soooo…
‘Arthur AVIS’…I see what you did there, Walter. This whole characterization of the Vulture is also a callback to his portrayal in the 90s “Spider-Man” animated series. Now I remember from the ‘What If Venom Wasn’t In “Spider-Man 3?”’ episode that Eddie Brock *was* still there, but he’s absent here. What happened to him (🤔)? This was EXCELLENTLY done, though (👏)! Keep this series up, Walter (👍).
Sam Rami himself must have been disappointed with the production of Spider-Man 4. From what I read, he was given four different treatments for the script and he rejected all of them.
Its makes sense as a director because he had gave his all in his first 2 movies and for the third one to be controlled and intervened from his own vision, and him wahting to redeem himself from the third film he felt like 4 needed to be better ,not bigger but better story driven a craft and redemetion but the studio aint let him
I would love to see this as an animated series or movie continuing the Raimi continuity, while Andrew gets his live-action movie continuation like you guys came up with previously, especially now that Sony and Marvel seem open to working with the older Spideys again.
It would have been even cooler if older Peter was played by Stan lee. Also I hope in what if Spider-Man 5 happened we get to see Peter in the symbiote suit, the origin of spider Gwen, and the lizard as the villain
@Ice King but tobey maguires Spider-Man 4 was to be released in 2011 and this fanfiction was to be assuming it came out in 2011 so Stan lee would still be alive since he died in 2018. Besides max von sydow is dead as well since 2020. So if this were to be released in 2011, both Stan and max would still be alive around that time.
This was great! The biggest thing I would have changed is not having Harry Die in the previous film. Instead the physical damage from the final fight could have knocked just enough sense into him for him to realize what he has done before he escapes. This way the he would have been living with guilt of what he did 6 years ago, and trying to make it right with Peter by using his Goblin Gear to be a hero. Then in this film, it be a HUGE step and lesson for Peter to try and trust him when he needed help against The Vulture.
I was so exited to see this one seeing how raimi wanted spider man 4 to be the best movie yet and vulture to be more brutal than any of the other villains
This was absolutely amazing and I definitely need a spider man 5 and potentially 6 from you. The vulture changes were probably my favorite take on the character so far.
If Spider-Man 4 was made & came out on May 6, 2011, the behind the scenes will be that after a critical disaster of Spider-Man 3, Sony made a promise to Mr. Sam Raimi that if he can just do 1 more Spider-Man movie, if Raimi said “fine, but just 1 more film” he can finally leave the door, making Spider-Man 4 as the final chapter of that particular Spider-Man movie franchise. And after Raimi left, Sony had no idea what they’re gonna do with those Marvel characters next, so in 2012, during Disney’s mega success with The Avengers, Sony Pictures announced that they will make a contract with Marvel/Disney to bring Spider-Man to the MCU in the next 5 years. Making The Amazing Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield as none existent in that alternate timeline.
I look forward to hearing this. I’m curious how this version of Vulture is going to be 😃😃😃 I absolutely love the Bruce Campbell Mysterio personality 😂😂😂 OMG David Tennant as Miles Warren/Jackal is a casting choice I would never have thought of. BRILLIANT!
The fact that we can get Spider-Man 4, Amazing Spider-Man 3, and Fuckin' Spider Man Broken Home or whatever the next one would be called as full possibilities in our future, all at the same time is so beautiful.
@@emersonflorez97 its gonna be based on kravens last hunt but will probably be called something else, the word home won't be on the title I can guarantee that.
I enjoyed it great job. Something I think this story was missing was peters story arc. It would be nice to see Peter choosing to work alone afraid of putting people at risk. But other than that I loved it it furthered Ramies franchise, loved how it returned to one super villain while introducing returning and new characters. Something I’d be interested seeing is reimagining of Spider-Man homecoming sequel far from home. What if scorpion and vulture were in Spider-Man far from home. Making vulture a type of antihero doing a job to protect his family, and Peter trying to figure out what to do.
In the comics, Gwen Stacy came first, and then after she died, Mary Jane became Peter's true love who helped him recover after losing Gwen. So it's so weird seeing this alternate take where the roles are switched, where MJ came first, then died, and it's Gwen who becomes the new girlfriend. And for as much as I loved the MCU's take on the Vulture, this alternate universe version is pretty cool too. You all did such a great job on this pitch!
You know I always and still hope for a Spider-Man 4 directed by Sam Raimi even though I know it’ll never happen. This video is like I traveled into an alternate timeline where the movie did actually release. It filled in the void of what I’ve been wanting.
Definitely could see more humorous scenes of Nicholas Hammond as the elderly Spider-Man between the times he turned old until he was cured. As far as post-credits scenes go, while bringing back Mr. Ditkovich and his daughter was a great addition to the film, I feel like the introduction of the Lizard alter ego for Connors would've been the perfect set up for Spider-Man 5 as rumors heavily supported Lizard being the next villain in the franchise.
Time. Space. Reality. It's more than a linear path. It's a prism of endless possibility, where a single choice can branch out into infinite realities, creating alternate worlds from the ones you know. I am the Watcher. I am your guide through these vast new realities. Follow me and ponder the question... "What if?"
That was amazing so emotional I was on the edge of my seat the entire video. I would love to see a fan scription video for Spider-Man 5 & Spider-Man 6 it would be cool to see...
Man, looking at a young Cillian Murphy in this supposed story after he just won an Oscar for Oppenheimer is surreal. Great work on your impression of him Rob.
When I first heard about Spider-Man 4 when I was a kid, I thought Lizard, Carnage, and Hobgoblin would be the main villains. Still, this was great. Merry Christmas Walter!
Godamn, this is so good. Loved how you incorporated in the Neogenic season of Spider-Man TAS into Spider-Man 4 but minus the more confusing aspects like the Six-Armed Spidey plots. There's genuinely times in this video that I've uttered to myself "godamn that's fucking genius", especially using Nicholas Hammod as the older Peter. Also loved how you set up Officer Davis instead of shoehorning in Miles forcefully so that if Miles ever appears as a Spidey in your next Raimiverse Spider-Man fanscription it would feel more natural than anything. Great job, dude! Take your time if you're planning on making a Spider-Man 5 fanscription, absolutely loved this one.

And having the late Max von “Now is the season of evil” Sydow as Toomes seems very appropriate.
Edit: Hey, someone got the reference!
I love it. Swan Lake was even used in a few old horror movies, including Lugosi’s Dracula.

Okay. . THIS. .is the best Spider-Man Fanscription.
Have you heard of David S Goyer’s flash movie?
Energy Vampire Insanity
Vulture is an energy vampire
@@joshuahecht6866 and I guess the Turtle from Flash year one counts as well?

As for the Superman one, perhaps we can see Lana Lang become the new love interest going forward or Superman finding another way to bring back Lois. But I can dig all of these.

@Ice King what’s that?
@Ice King of course
Well...Tbh, I think the "Origin of Spider-Gwen" happened in an Alternate Timeline.
Bully Maguire: I missed the part where thats my problem

What if scorpion and vulture were in Spider-Man far from home. Making vulture a type of antihero doing a job to protect his family, and Peter trying to figure out what to do.
Yeah and finally make the Sinister Six
