@Danny Yes, I remember him befriending Cleetus/Gavin who was just starting out by helping him through a few problems. The fact that he has been with him from the beginning is a testament to the good guy he is. All the crew is special and works really hard at making Cleetus McFarland racing a success.
Hey Cleetus, to get the C7 battery charged up again, jack up the car in the front and hook a trickle charger to the starter hot post and the block.
That will get the battery charged back up overnight. Then you can get in it again.
C7 unlock... Remove the key from the FOB, insert it in the lock mechanism at the rear of the car, under and to the right of the "Corvette" emblem, turn the key and the hatch will open... There is a door pull there to open the doors...

NHRA is hard on tracks. They came to Virginia Motorsports parks wanted 100% of everything even the camping. The Top fuel are extremely hard on the tracks they broke the surface of the track. VMP said don’t came back. They allow alcohol and Promod but no more Nitro

The look on cleeters face when he hit the turn at Mach 5 basically told me that the rest of the track is going to get done in no time lol. I know it comes at a cost but boy does it look good!!!! Keeping the track alive !

@@rock0nm8 yep. Maybe he will do a promotion like sell more FF grass or motor parts from his cars with a big markup to help sponsor the new pavement. I remember him saying it was expensive though, like over a 1 million. Might have to do a whole bunch of promotions or sell rides in his carbon cub to the big spenders on his channel.
Even just doing both banks at the same time would be great. Also the turns would be consistent.

For the c7, if you can reach the back of the starter you can put a battery charger on the rear of the starter to charge the battery.

i came here to say basicly the same thing lol, you should be able to jump it/do w/e you need by takeing a battery or jumper box, hooking the neg to any good frame spot, and the pos cable to the back of the starter solenoid that goes to the Battery side(if you hook it to the Other side, the starter is going to start spinning)

If you get under the Corvette you might be able to access the power wires on the starter to hook up a jump pack and unlock the doors

I don't think entire track needs repaved but doing both ends/all turns would make it extremely nice and also consistent.

You need to dedicate 1 crown vick for a hot lap leaderboard for when your friends come over, would be good to see the bond with your fellow TH-camrs and other racers.
He tried that with “Wheelman”. Only lasted a couple episodes.

Jumper box on the battery cable on the starter for the c7. I just hook to the positive cable and ground to the anything on the starter or block.

I Cleetus, I'm one of the top factory corvette techs in South ga. There's a manual unlock in the back around the license plate that will open the trunk allowing you to get into the car.
I had a similar issue on a different GM vehicle. I jacked the car up, put a jump pack on the starter power wires, and called Onstar to unlock the car... Easy peasy.. if you can get to the starter from underneath the car you can power it at the solenoid.
Cleetus, try this with the Vette. Jack it up and hook a jump box up to the starter leads and see if that gives it enough power to open. It should sense the key fob and allow it to open. It's not a guarantee as every car is different but just a suggestion. If you can't get it opened yourself you can call Onstar since it would have supplied power they can then unlock remotely.

I had the exact same thing happen to me with my C7... What you do is jack it up on the passenger side, slide under there and hook up a jump pack or a battery cable off another battery to your battery wire on the starter. You will be good to go!
I'm so happy that you're steadily improving that racetrack bit by bit. It's so drastically different from what it was when you first bought it. Some of the racetracks that I drove on 10-15 years ago are gone and that SUCKS. So I love that you snatched one up and are not only putting it to good use, but making it even better!

You should do a rubber/tar seal coat on the entire track, it would even all the bumps and make it stickier. It would be insane with the right seal coat compound.

They would have to make it go through the middle or something flat out on that track in a shifter cart if someone crashes they are done would need more turns to keep the speeds down

@@travisjohnson1500 I would hope so I've driven shifter carts an got one to 130mph my friend had an being in a go cart going that fast with your ass dragging on the ground its sketchy there's a reason shifter carts drive on pretty tight tracks with ovals you are gonna get near those speeds it's not gonna be fun when someone gets flung there's no roll cage
Absolutely love the fact that some of us got to watch cleet grow from a crazy average Joe to this badass American who a lot of us strive to be and I think it is amazing how he is absolutely killing it in all aspects of life it shows how happy his guys are and how happy his wife is constantly just goes to show how great of a guy he is happy we got to watch him grow and can’t wait for the years to come to watch

Gm can cut you an unchipped key using your vin. Once you get that key you can open the rear hatch by using the key hole just above your license plate and to the right. (It faces straight down on the top of the plate cut out right of the tag light). This allows you access to the car without needing to lift it or using a jump method.
So nice to see Cleet rescue someone like George. Kinda like adopting a rescue.....😅🤣😂

Little Cleettus Jr. is going to be tall like his dad. My grandson is very tall as well . Mom is 6 foot and dad is 6'5" It's so funny to see his baby face and 3-year-old behavior in an oversized body. Cleetus all you need to do is take your title or you up today registration for the corvette to the local chevy dealer, you will need to be there with your drivers license and they can make you a key "same on that inside your key fob" that inserts in the back bumper above the tag and you can unlock the hatch and on the left side in the truck is a release lever that will open the driver door so you can access the car!
For your C7 you can reach the starter positive terminal and put a jump pack on it. Been doing that on many audi product with the alternator wire instead

If you can get under the car hook a jump box to the starter to give it power. It SHOULD recognize the remote and unlock the driver's door.

Use the packing tape method....
Cover the whole window in tape, make sure you leave the lower bit and use the tape the push the window down....

Awesome paving job! Freedom Factory is turning into an awesome facility. And think about back when it stood abandoned. You took it from an overgrown field to a racing destination by combining vision with hard work. Reminds me of Roger Penske's motto, "Effort Equals Results".

This works on the c6…ive done it lol, hook a battery up to a tail light. Remove the bulb and connect a car battery (you have to know which is + and - on the connector) it powers the ECM and since the keys are in it’ll sense the fob and the door should open up when pulled haha
C7 easiest way to get inside is lift it up and attach a jump pack or charger to the starter!!!

How does charging the battery get the doors unlocked? Get a trunk key from the dealership and then charge the battery or maybe change the weak battery
@@Notarobot310 I f the keys are in the car, it means it was unlocked! As soon as the car battery has enough charge, the electric solenoid car doors can be opened from the outside. You have never owned a vette, have you?

So 4 months ago you did your first run of the porches on the freedom factory. And its first lap from a dead stop, doing I spectator drag lap was a 19:65. Then did a 19:70 on its next lap, continuing to a 17:30 on its first full lap under power. Compared to this time of 17:90
Keys in corvette - behind rear license plate there is supposed to be a button to release the trunk lid then there is a string or cable to open the door drivers side.....
That new asphalt looks amazing I can't wait until the whole track is done. The rest of it actually looks like concrete now because it's so light. Congratulations guys place is looking better every day.

If you have one key outside of the car there is a mechanical cylinder in the back bumper that will open the back hatch with the key insert. There is a door release handle in each of the back quarters to open the doors from inside the back hatch.

Replacing it in chunks is key. Age gives it character. Having different surfaces with different ages gives the track great character. When tracks are all brand new the racing is boring.

The battery died on the only fob I had for my C7 Z06 and the car locked itself with the key inside. I brought the VIN with my reg papers (as proof of ownership, title in my name wouldn't cut it) to the dealer and they cut me a new key. I used the key hole next to the rear license plate to unlocked the hatch....left side of the hatch area there's a manual release for the driver door.
Also, the reg was in the car so I had to go to AAA where they printed a copy of my reg for me to take to the dealer.

As many can back it up, but also as a GM tech go to the back of the car and by the license plate you can find a manual release to open the trunk, which then you can manually open doors etc.!
To start the corvette if you can jack it up and find a positive connection some where starter etc. Hook a charger or jump pack there.
@CleetusM, you are a modern day Tony Hulman! Why? Because, the Freedom Factory has much in common with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. When Tony Hulman bought the speedway on November 14th, 1945, the track had been abandoned since the beginning of WWII, the garage area had caught fire and burned to the ground, vandals had stolen everything that was not bolted to the ground, and the community wanted the track sold and torn down for the development of apartment complexes. Hulman purchased the track for $750K knowing more than a million dollars (in 1945 dollars) would be required to bring the track and grandstands up to acceptable standards. After 4 years with no race being held at the speedway, Tony Hulman brought the Indianapolis 500 back in 1946. He told friends and fans he would make the Indy 500 the most famous auto race in the world. In the following years he continually improved the racing surface, expanded the grandstands, built a museum and the turn 2 suites, and made the Indy 500 the largest and most famous sporting event in the world. Who knows what is in store for the Freedom Factory!
One major cause of concern here, if you're doing the burnout comp while they're running dragsters, what if the wind starts blowing the smoke on the track?

Gosh dang man looks just like the dual double pumper set up I had on my firebird back in the day.
Ms Emelia had a similar thing. There's an access panel you can get into by the front wheel well that will let you get to the charging ports to open things up (assuming it's flat and that's why you can't get in)
