Great game, thanks for sharing it. But it would be great if the final score wasn't in the title. Much more fun to watch not knowing who wins in the end.
This is a classic. I forgot about this game til I saw a recommend video for the Primetime highlight video. Then came looking for this. Thanks for posting. I loved those early 80's early 90's Eagles teams. Too bad they couldn't put it all together.
Thank you for sharing this. I was sitting around and a memory of this game popped into my mind. I remember how nervous I was. Denver came back took the lead and I was thinking it was over. Then that miracle punt that barely grazed the return guy and Eagles made a heads up play. I was so happy to find this game on TH-cam.
I remember because after my 49ers beat the Jets 23-10 at Giants Stadium after the Niners Jets game on CBS concluded they switched it to the bonus coverage of the Eagles Broncos game at Mile High Stadium that may have to be the best interconference game of week 8 back that year. In this game Eagles QB, Randall Cunningham threw for 126 yards and two touchdown passes six carries for 57 yards 183 total yards averaging 10.7 yards, RB, Keith Byars rushed for 93 yards with two touchdowns and John Elway threw 278 yards two touchdown passes and he threw three interceptions. There were four interconference games in week 8 and all four games were on CBS The NFC Went (2-2) vs the AFC in week 8 with two of the four teams both the defending Super Bowl Champion San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles both won on the road that Sunday back in '89.
Also, I really liked Vern Lundquist and Terry Bradshaw together. Vern is an all time great... Terry might've been cause I was young and didn't know any better. 🤔
I always thought Bradshaw could have been a top color commentator. So good - instead he wasted his talent in that clown show. Although Howie Long is good.
@@jakeamberson3239 Exactly right. When Bradshaw wasn't playing the part of the dumb hick and actually was serious, his insight was great. Him and Madden gave great insight into what we were watching.
I don’t know what Dan Reeves needed to see to figure out his defensive line was too small How many times do you have to see these guys get run over. Bless Kragens heart, but he shouldn’t be playing nose tackle
This was Buddy Ryan's most impressive win as Eagles coach..nobody gave them a chance..no teams ever beat Elway at Mile High....also alot of so called football fans used to claim that Randall had no weapons..it was completely false...he had Keith Byars, Chris Carter, Mike Quick, Fred Barnett, Heather Sherman, Mark Higgs & Jimmy Giles
keith jackson too. i dont hear too many people saying he didnt have weapons but i do think mcnabbs teams were pretty thin of talent especially at wide receiver. 04 with owens was incredible and i wish they could have kept those two together for a few more years. buddy ball era was a fun time to be an eagles fan. they could have won a superbowl with randall and those defenses.
I was at that game. EAGLES were a huge underdog.
Terry was an excellent color man. I don’t remember listening to him too much growing up

True but you always knew they would bring the lumber.
Amazing that Denver made a game of it at all the way the Eagles were physically dominating in the 1st half. Great game

Bradshaw and Uncle Verne got along so well that Bradshaw had him do his introduction speech at his Hall of Fame ceremony.

@@jakeamberson3239 Agree tonally - Fox made him a clown!

Last time the Eagles won in Mile High before Sunday GO BIRDS 🦅🦅🦅🦅
Yeah, our Birds have definitely taken some beatings out there, it was nice to finally get a win up there.
Watched this game live as a senior in college and I was a big Eagles fan living in South Jersey!
Rowan (Glassboro St.)?
Dude! why give the final Score? These older games are great! There even better when you don't know who Wins!
This exactly!!!!!

why isnt the squib kick used on every kickoff? why would you give them the opportunity to field the ball cleanly? just a thought ive had forever.
Verne always was a great announcer lot better than micheals

I think you’re being a little over dramatic when you say no one gave the Eagles a chance.
I’d almost guess the Eagles were favored in this game
@@mattieaflo nope at the time nobody defeated Elway at Mile High Stadium & he was also famous for 4th quarter comebacks at the time
I remember that
Let's not be dramatic. The Eagles were only getting 3 points
6 sacks 4 turnovers, nothing fixed here.
Reeves was a better player than a coach mediocre @ best
