  • This video shows you how to install In-Wall Surround speakers by yourself. I had the speaker wire pre-wired during the construction of my house, so now I just needed to cut out a hole, hook them up, and secure them. It's very easy!

Did you do any speaker testing before purchasing the Klipsch? Looks like your system is coming along quite well, keep up the great work!

+Jacob L. No, just went with Klipsch based on the reviews at the price point. An audiophile would complain I’m sure, but I MUCH prefer my budget theater to any AMC around me.

@@HelpMeDIY I find the Klipsch to be a bit bright in the highs, but for a cost effective system, you can't go wrong. Great choices and it looks like you're getting a good amount of them for the full immersion. I agree with the local theater aspect, once you have a system that approaches 1/10th of what a theater can provide, it's already 100x better. I don't need the experience of having to sit with other people that don't respect your viewing experience. Thanks!

Yeah I have a 7.2.3 setup so far. Wired for a 7.4.3, but adding 2 more Atmos speakers in the middle of the ceiling will require 2 more speakers obviously, but also a separate amp to power them as my Denon receiver can only power the 9 channels I have now.

@@HelpMeDIY Check out Monoprice for a cost effective (~$150) 2 channel amp if you want to bump that up. I have the same speaker count, but with up firing Atmos instead of ceiling mounted (not possible in my current room + would have to wire). I wanted to get that full .4 Atmos but deferred after realizing how much extra work it would be.

Can those tweeters be turned 90° for mounting the speaker sideways? I notice they have screws that appear to hold that assembly in place, but i've always wanted to know if those could be rotated.
My back surrounds are mounted sideways.

@@HelpMeDIY thanks mate! I had wondered if these would be worth getting for my sides and/or rears over the standard L version, they're very expensive in Australia.
