Nice setup. Your tray ceiling looks great. I went with a little more hidden look with my speakers since my room was open to the rest of the house from behind. I considered a projector but went with a lcd instead. I did 'pimp out' my tv wall though.

Can't fault the build quality of the setup. The visual display is beautiful and the audio setup is very well matched (balanced) however for a very cheap layout and without spoiling Aesthetics of the room. Your listening experience IMO can be muched improved on. A pair of pullback black velvet curtain drapes covering the inside entrance of the rear facing double doors would help immensely with the acoustics of the room (help dampen rear reflection) and all possible without spoiling the look of the room.
I come from the opinion a little bit of sound decay (Reverb) can actually make the sound of the movie sound natural. Listening to you talk one can actually pick-up on the acoustics of the room and I hope you don't mind but I think it can be improved on.

You could paint the walls each side of the screen to prevent the light throwback onto the screen a dark matt colour. I think it will make the world of difference.

It really depends on one's listening habits! I'll agree to the fact... if one listens on average for a couple of hours most nights, well a budget setup would suffice, but if one happens to be a heavy listener (like myself) the chances are one is going to be able to pick up on a subtle differences!
I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination, I only living a little council flat but because I spend nearly all my time in my small little living room, I decided to invest accordingly! For me, it's not just about how good the system sounds at medium to High volume but more to the fact how good it sounds at low volume, hence the reason why I upgraded to this....

@@richieace5492 A few things to consider if you plan to go Atmos. Your front L/R and surround speakers are mounted too high. The bed layer speakers should be at ear level when seated to provide the separation needed for Atmos presentation. Check out the Dolby white papers for setup guidance. www.dolby.com/siteassets/technologies/dolby-atmos/atmos-installation-guidelines-121318_r3.1.pdf
In a 5.1 system, your surround L/R speakers should be on the side walls and at ear level (unless not possible for some reason, then we have to do what we have to do). Also, I would move the center channel speaker forward on the table so that the front of the speaker is even with the front edge of the table. This will reduce to reflections caused by the sound bouncing off the table top before getting to the main listening position which can lead to muddy or decreased dialog.
If possible, do 5.1.4 or 7.1.4. Using four height channels for Atmos is a must, in my opinion, as two just do not produce the full effect. If you can't do 5.1.4 or 7.1.4, I wouldn't incur the expense needed. Which brings me to the fact that your current receiver can't do four height channels as it lacks pre outs to connect additional amplifier channels. The Denon x3600h or the newer x3700h, for example, has this and would be a good upgrade for you.
I hope you don't take this as a criticism of your room. I just wanted to provide some advice and hopefully some helpful information for you going forward.
If you haven't already been, I suggest you go on www.avsforum.com. There is a wealth of information there to help you along if needed.

Awesome setup! I would add at least one more sub to smooth out bass response.

I have the exact same projector and your PQ isn't very good. It's your choice of color on your walls, trim, door, and ceiling. They reflect too much light and wash out your image. I highly highly recommend repainting your room with ROSCO TV BLACK paint. It's the closest to having black velvet fabric. I posted a video of the paint here, just type in the name and check it out. It was like $60 a gallon, it does have a tar like thickness to it. It will blow you away in difference PQ quality.
