And, once again, I come across this wonderful video *years* after its release - proverbial story of my life. I was shocked when you presented the 6139-7060 "blue-eye" - my all-time favorite, which I'm extremely lucky to have found about a decade ago, and at a less-than-extortionate price. Your vintage Seiko chronograph collection is indeed enviable; thanks for sharing the info on all of them.
Really really nice video! There are a real shortage of videos on Seiko vintage chronos, so it was great to see 6 beautiful ones at once. I can’t get enough of the clean readable dials on all of these.
I own 2 the Seiko 6139 6040 Ghost Love this watch so dressy, but needs so restoration because I inherited it and I recently picked up a project 100% original Seiko 6139 6002 Pouge and I can wait to restore this watch when I have the time.
A very excellent collection in one video! Well done. I have several Pogue variants, other 6139s, and the same Bullhead that you showed. I love the gold dial 6139, it just pops in the sun! I would suggest that anyone looking to get into the vintage Seiko chronos to
Great video on my favourite Seikos. My favourite vintage chronographs are the Panda, Pogue, Black Bullhead and Champagne dial Kakume. It is interesting that you warn about aftermarket parts when a couple of those watches have several. Even the Panda has a yellow sweep hand when it should be black with a red/orange tip.
LOL I've lost count of how many youtubers insist on being able to identify fakes and frankens, when the very same watches that they review are the same as those!
I have also in my collection a 6138 Panda, 7016-7000, 6139-6012, 5717-8990.. but the best I like is the 6138-6040 orange dial.. mine has a smooth Spalding basketball kind of orange, which I myself much prefer over the sharp yellow-orange hue on the Pogue.. thanks for sharing.. love to see more
hello, how to spot a "franken" black bullhead ? on the dial I understand it needs to have those reflections and vertical lines, but what about the original glass, is it higher or no?
So beautiful, all of them! My only issue is if I don't get in on the ground floor, I won't bother, no way I'm paying the jacked up prices, for what at the end of the day are entry Seikos. Plus knowing my luck, I'd get shafted with a fake/franken, or busted watch.
I recently found my father "Kakume", despite being in a box for more than 10 years, the winding still works (nos so much the automatic mechanism). It still has the original strap (wich I don't like, metal isn't my thing) but it's loose around one of the lugs. I'm goin to try to have it fixed, because I don't see how any other strap is going to look good on it
Hi! Finally found someone who dared to service it (small town), it's now running perfectly. It had some oxide, so I got to it just in time to salvage it. I was searching por more info on it online and I have a question maybe someone here could answer. How long does it run on a full charge?
Great video man, just a question regarding the panda; is the yellow central second hand original? I've always seen the black one with a red accent on the end
I have a yellow pogue, a 6138-8030 black and gold that works but crown comes out, a broken silvery brown and black Kakume with orange highlights and amazingly cool hands and today I have just won a fully functional brown Bullhead on ebay.
Hi, I am a great fan. I have been watching your content for years now. I have a bullhead and want to ask if you know of a good watchmaker to fix the seconds hand that has fallen off. I live in the UK. Thanks.
are there any affordable homages for these apart from the Lorus rt351gx9 which for some idiotic reason has the chronographs seconds hand in a subdial even if it has a tachymeter bezel?
Hey, I have a 6139-6002 (1971/ Blue Dial / Middle East). It is slightly damaged. But everything works properly and runs well. How much could I quote for the watch?
I believe there is ample proof available to attest to the fact that the true "Pogue" is a 6139-6005, (N. American distributed) since Col. Pogue purchased the watch new at his local base seller. We also know the specific dial text of it reading "Automatic" under the central SEIKO dial logo, 70m water resist at 9:00 and 17j and the suwa symbol under the pinion. The whole range of colors of the 6139-6××× family have been branded "Pogues" by the hobby/public. Col. Pogues personel timepiece has been repaired once perhaps more times as the subdial seconds hand is not original as well as the bracelet itself being non-original as well.
What a great collection, who can deny that Seiko are probably the most important watch makers on the planet! Do you think Seiko Time Corp. can be pusuaded to reissue these for watch wearers rather than collectors?
They did a good job on that with the Alpinist. They build one limited model that exactly mimics the original at a high pricepoint but released a modern reinterpretation with killer-specs for an affordable price. The only thing i'm worriedd about is the Chrono-Feature. It's more likely for Seiko to do a reissue with Solar-Movement instead of mechanical. That would be a huge downgrade. I'm not a big fan of Their solar-watches except the Arnie
Great video sir!! The panda chronograph hand has been replaced? Right? 🧐 If im not interible wrong they should be black with the tip red/orange? Or is it a variation? 😄
I really like the 7106m, 6139 Pogue, Bullhead, Kakume The Pogue looks so 1970's that it's cool. The Jumbo wasn't that large for you, in my opinion. Good stuff.👌
gold pogue is full of aftermarket parts including the bracelet. lol.i love the 6139s and 6138s but the DAINI flybacks is the best for me. not only because you can fetch them a lot lower but 7017, 7015, 7016 and 7018 are ALL flybacks!!!
Aftermarket parts are on the Kakume as well but the owner had all the original parts stashed. Some were damaged during service and some were not cosmetically to his liking, but he kept them in case he has to sell them, and I agree with you with Daini, I prefer them as well
@@WatchGeek thanks for the info on the Kakume. never had one so i'm not well versed on that. i suggest you review more DAINI pieces because most collectors are concentrating on SUWA chronos. cheers.
Me ofrecen un 6138 en $1.000.- USD aquí en Santiago de Chile. No está perfecto pero no dejo de pensar en él... El brazalete está ligeramente estirado y algo torcido, pero muy poco... ¡Lo quiero!
Funny thing Is that you talk about how to spot a franken watch....while showing your 6138-8020 with YELLOW chrono hand....while it should be black and red...

Thanks for putting these great looking pieces together. Can't wait for Seiko to reissue these great stuff.

What about UFO 6138 0011
Yes, the Kakume is a beauty. The Pogue is a close second for me. Great vid.
Thanks 😊, I'm glad we have the same taste 😁👍
Man, those are some beautiful pieces. Thanks! I got educated and inspired!

Best video of all time, i was having an ❤️ attack
Love seikos, especially the vintage chronographs
Wow! Just Wow! Thats a lot of great Seiko's. Amazing to see them all at once! Well done!👍
I have bullhead watch for sell
None of those watches looked too big, btw. Perfectly fine to my eye.
Great channel and fantastic collection of Seiko chronographs!
Thanks for the channel comment 😁, the collection is from a few friends with one of them being the owner of 80% of these 😱, so I envy them 😄
Great stuff. I have a couple of these, but its good to see the others in the range!
Woooow! Great collection! The watches is in perfect condition
Best vintage Seiko video on TH-cam.
Uhhhh! Zaista sjajan video! 100% sam uživao. Hvala puno Watch Geek!
Hvala na pregledu 😁

I just got a 7010 from an online auction blind grab bag. I’m in love.
I have Seiko 6139-7070 this a good watch?
rubbish
What more to say: thank you for such an enjoyable video. Incredible information, nice to learn so much in 11 minutes :-)
Thanks 😊, I'm glad you liked it

@@franciscocampora9227hi there, full wind should be about 36-40 hours. I have a 6138-3002 “Jumbo” which has the same movement as the Kakume.
White dial panda is just so...popping
Great video man, just a question regarding the panda; is the yellow central second hand original? I've always seen the black one with a red accent on the end
Those are beautiful. Instead of buying some more newer watches I went this rout instead. Recently got the 6139-8020 with rally bracelet.
Congrats
I learned something, very informative especially the Pogue. Thank you.
I'm glad you liked it 😊
👍👍 i got a champagne kakume with no original bracelet, but entire original which is my favorite in all my collection of suisse and japanese watches
I have a yellow pogue, a 6138-8030 black and gold that works but crown comes out, a broken silvery brown and black Kakume with orange highlights and amazingly cool hands and today I have just won a fully functional brown Bullhead on ebay.
Congrats, and that's quite a collection 👍
Wonderful collection!
It really is, if only it was mine 😛😛

Sadly I'm located in Croatia so don't know of any in the UK
The Pogue was restored with many aftermarket-parts !
Yes you're right, you have good eyes 👍👍
What a collection.
Good morning!!! Excellent overview!!! Thank you for sharing!!! :-)

@6:00
That 6138-8020 has the wrong chronograph seconds hand. It should be black with orange or sometimes yellow tip
Hey, I have a 6139-6002 (1971/ Blue Dial / Middle East). It is slightly damaged. But everything works properly and runs well. How much could I quote for the watch?
The 6138 😍😍😍
Love this collection! 🔥

Hi, is the seconds hand of the panda original? The ones I have seen have a black hand with a red tip. The one in the video looks like it is white.
It faded
@@WatchGeek oh I see. I haven't seen that before. Cool.
Exelent video. Thanks!
Your Vostok Amphibia is beautiful too.
Awesome video. Is the bracelet for the Kakume original? I have the original speedtimer version bracelet and yours looks way cool. What is it please?

6138 also has manual winding function
I have a 6139-6005, yellow face, with a missing crown. Does anyone know where I can get it repaired?
If the Pogue is too loud then go with the Bruce Lee. Even better if you can get a hold of the original bracelet.
Thanks for this resume ;) I just got a Pogue of my birth :)
Gracias 👍🇨🇴🇪🇦⌚ excelente vídeo.
How big are your wrists if you don't mind me asking?
6.9"
Como puedo octener seiko cronometro cuanto cuesta
Not so sure that the 6138-8020 "Panda"is with a original second chronograph hand.
Love those Seiko chronographs.Specially Pogue and helmet.
I have bullhead watch
How about the 7017- Flyback!!!
Another great one, sadly very rare

Nice collection, but why did not turn on the chronograph?!
Haha overwhelmed I guess

What should I see in a Seiko 6138-8030?
My favorite upload to date :)
Haha mine too
Great video sir!! The panda chronograph hand has been replaced? Right? 🧐 If im not interible wrong they should be black with the tip red/orange? Or is it a variation? 😄
Some of these have had the parts replaced while the original ones are stashed away 😁

Beautiful collection of vintage Seiko's! Great to see them all together. Keep up the quality content Sir 👌

Thanks 😊
Is the green dial Vostok “Scuba Dude” your daily wearer?
Yes
My great uncle left me a brown bullhead when he passed.. Is it a watch I should keep?
DEFINITELY....or you can sell it to me 😁
This is the fourth time I am watching this video

I have one of the 6139-6010 blue (1969) in case you're still growing your collection.....
You forgot the 7A28-7039 even though it’s not automatic, but one of the beautiest and most special and rare seikos ;-)
Seiko Chronograph wet dream 😂
