The GOOD firebird or the BAD firebird (or lavabird)? You decide the best media!
I wanna made a series about this. I use the sound' original version (ballet, composition, etc) with audiovisual media (animation, videoclips, TV series, cinema, movies, etc) related to the original version. I change the media' speed, according to the original version's rhythm
The Firebird is a ballet created by Igor Stravinsky, with a premiere at 25th June 1910. There are a lot of this ballet'sversion, which are 1911's, 1919's and 1945's version. In this video, I use the original version, the 1910's ballet.
In 1999, Fantasia 2000 was premiered in New York, with a concert tour in many cities around the world, and released in 75 IMAX theathers worlwide from January 1 to April 2000. The Firebird's Fantasia version is the most well known for all of us, who watched the movie, but with many, MANY, cuts from the original version... 9 minutes is the duration of Firebird's Fantasia version, so...

Stravinsky is such a fantastic composer even if it was very controversial a 100 years ago. The "sacre du printemps" was a big scandal when it was played at first in Paris, there is a famous joke, impossible to translate in another language, people called it "le massacre du tympan" (a massacre for the ears). This period, beginning of the XXth century was so creative, with the "Ballets Russes" giving to the world a new spirit to the ballet with Nijinsky, Fokine, Diaghilev and later Balanchine. Fantastic times ......
As usual, Diana Vishneva is absolutely perfect and brings her genius to the role.
I didn't know about Fantasia 2000, only the old one, it is very beautiful also, it looks like they took the eruption of Mount St Helen for the base of the animated movie .....

Fantasia's version is such a lovely tale of death, rebirth and revolution. Both versions are good.

"Walt Disney described the art of animation as a voyage of discovery into the realms of color, sound and motion. The music from Igor Stravinsky's ballet, The Firebird, inspires such a voyage. And so we conclude this version of Fantasia with a mythical story of life, death and renewal."

I like the Ballet version and I placed in Halloween. The ballet had Choreography by Michel Fokine and Designs by Alexander Golvoin & Leon Bakst.

honestly both are so beautiful and amazing :) one side an actual story with parts that was in fantasia 2000 and the other side showing with the edits that it can be a story about nature as well :)

The nutcracker is the only other ballet used in the two Fantasia films that you should make this videos about.

Man, Disney used the Firebird for two different things, Fantasia 2000 and Little Einsteins...
Wait, but what're they gonna use Petrushka for?

I don't think they're gonna use it, since Stravinsky's music is not in the public domain anymore.

@@AR-yd2nd you have to wait 70 years after the death of the composer if you want to use it. Stravinsky died in 1971.
