Bring the noize is a Public Enemy song first. They mention Anthrax in the song cause The band always Repped them. They became friends so they collaborated on a Remake. Love Both Versions 😁 P.S. You should React to the original
This was from 1985... Anthrax had signed w/ major label Island Records and released their 2nd album 'Spreading the disease'... their first LP w/ Joe Belladonna on vocals (He had replaced their original singer Neil Turbin who was fired in '84) 1985 was a pivotal year for thrash metal cos it was very new... that frantic sound was gaining ground as Metallica were touring for their 2nd album 'Ride the Lightning'... Slayer were touring for their '85 album 'Hell awaits'... and Megadeth were also touring for their first album 'Killing is my business...' (Other bands like Exodus ... Overkill ... Voivod ... Exciter .... Venom ... Anvil... were also in business) At that point, MTV and radio were heavily promoting 80's 'hair' bands like Motley Crue ... Ratt ... Dokken ... Twisted Sister ... etc.... and thrash metal was still an underground phenomenon but it was going to break in a big way in 1986 after Metallica released 'Master of Puppets'... Slayer released 'Reign in blood' ... and Megadeth released "Peace sells, but who's buyin'?"...Anthrax made it big w/ their 1987 album 'Among the living'. Anthrax was the first of the 'Big 4' of thrash metal to make a music video for 'Madhouse' and it got on MTV... So, this was the first thrash metal music video ever made... and it was low budget as it looks 🤪🤪🤪🤪Anthrax drew most of their lyrics from comic books, movies and novels... so, they were not as menacing as Slayer or Megadeth... They got more MTV exposure w/ the music videos for 'Caught in a mosh' ... 'Indians'... in 1987, before their rap single "I'm the man" went platinum soon after. Megadeth appeared on MTV in 1986 w/ 2 music videos - 'Wake up dead' ... and 'Peace sells'... Metallica refused to make a music video until 1988 and their first video 'One' debuted in early 1989.
YES!! YES!! A THOUSAND TIMES YES!!!! Please react to I'm The Man!! It came out only a year and a half after the Run DMC version of Walk This Way. Early rap metal, pre-Public Enemy collab.
This and Indians are my two favorite Anthrax songs and thanks for covering both! Gotta do I'm The Man next because it definitely ventures into hip-hop! If you haven't already that is
@@maureenwagg5305 I thought I'm The Man was an original based on the lyrics and stuff but I suppose it's possible. I did know about Got The Time being a cover but don't think I ever knew who did it or ever listened to it. That BASS in the Anthrax version though! 🤤
Photos of Scott Ian live with Judge Dredd pics on his guitar got me into the British comic 2000 AD. Also if you haven't seen the live Anthrax 2014 Blue Ray concert Chile On Hell I highly recommend it.
Arguably Anthrax’s biggest hit but the video was constantly denied to be shown by MTV due to being “insensitive “. Also Anthrax was THE most fun concert I have ever attended

The song I'm The Law about Judge Dredd is a banger. Photos of Scott Ian live with Judge Dredd pics on his guitar got me into the British comic 2000 AD. Also if you haven't seen the live Anthrax 2014 Blue Ray concert Chile On Hell I highly recommend it.
What a great way to spend my morning coffee break!!🤘 I worked in a madhouse for a short while. I had to quit because I was worried that I was becoming a patient. I love old, early Anthrax videos. When Scott Ian still had long hair.
P.E. & Anthrax are both from NYC, Scot Ian was a big P.E. fan and Chuck D said he saw him repoing them by wearing their shirts when they okayed. So he says he went to go check them out one time the city. It was his first metal show.. They became friends from then on so eventually a colllab came about
This whole album is awesome... I saw Anthrax for the first time on the following "Among the Living" tour and got to meet them briefly as well... All nice guys and they thrashed! Prior to to being on Island Records, Anthrax were on Megaforce.
You should check out anthrax 40 celebrating 40 years of anthrax documentary about every album they made and check out songs like what doesn't die safe home refused to be denied only room for one more fueled crush pieces catharsis deathrider
Hey guys. I’m a new subscriber. Love your content. Can you guys react to Nonpoint’s “Tribute”? It’s off their self-titled album. I know you’re a little familiar with Nonpoint. They’re from my neighborhood…South Florida. I think you’ll love this song. Thanks 🙏
I met Anthrax in 1991. They were a nice bunch of guys. I had my little girl (1yr) with me. They all wanted to hold her ❤ Love "Indians" & "I'm the Man"
Anthrax is awesome🤘🏼 their version of Bring the Noise(which y'all have reacted to already) with Public Enemy is classic. They are huge self labeled nerds too🤌🏼🔥🤓 the breakdown into the chorus in this song is Legendary!!
Boy, you guys really missed it back in the 80s. Anthrax were excellent for about 10 years. Man, were they fun. And Joey Belladonna is one of the nicest people ever. BTW, it was great seeing you guys turn up in #WonderMommaOG's Blondie compilation. You crack me up, #6. Love you guys.
When i saw Antheax live they tore down the house. Pits were crazy. Knocked over tables broken barricades broken pool tables. And to think Great White would burn down that venue a couple years later. Rip The Station in West Warwick RI
Morning guys! Man this is old,man I'm old..jk...or am I?...lol Anyways that place looks like a madhouse for sure! Lol! Sometimes I think I belong in one!🤣😂🤓
In chronological order the big four's first album release is Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth. Anthrax hosted Metallica, meaning they were slightly more established in the beginning, when they came to New York to make their first album. It kind of took them three albums though to get established. Even though their first two albums are incredible too.
I think Biohazard is a great band name too! And speaking of Institutionalized, y’all should do the Suicidal Tendencies song sometime. Yeah definitely some exaggeration going on with the video lol… but maybe not as much as you’d think. I’ve worked in psychiatric institutions for many years and have some colorful stories. The guy carrying around the baby doll is not that far fetched. There was a patient at a place I used to work, this old lady who carried around a troll doll and insisted it was her child. She would bathe it and had a whole box of clothes for it. She was a character 😊 Idk that I want to switch places with any of my friends lol. Maybe my friend Emmy cuz she has a fun side gig as a photographer at rock shows (she takes pics at a lot of John 5 shows when he’s in the area) 🤘🏽
Hey there 🤗 listen to the artists, The Midnight, Kalax, Gunship, FM-84, Ollie Wride, Timecop 1983, Miami Nights 1984, Cadenti, Flairover and NewRetroWave! 80's feel good Synthwave! ❤🎵🎶
A tiny observation just because im a nerd, Anthrax is not a chemical, its a bacteria called Bacillus Anthracis that can be forced to make spores and those were put in the envelopes in the 90s This band is hella fun, maybe consider to react to Got the Time, a cover they made
I actually know what it’s like to be in a straight jacket in the asylum when I was in 3rd grade after my first suicide attempt, at the hospital I bit and was spitting at the orderlies so I was put in a straight jacket, ball gag and a padded room when first arrived
This takes me back. I was one of the first guys in my groups of friends that bought this Cassette in 1985. Every song from this album is legit Thrash Classic. A.I.R. and Medusa are also must listen material from Anthrax. Not!
Awesome. Thanks for playing these with the official videos guys, never seen this one before haha. On that note... I would love if you would react to Primus - Mr Krinkle [th-cam.com/video/TOdo7dhvSwg/w-d-xo.html]. Classic dark weird track, brutal bass, iconic video. o7
Fun fact...when the anthrax in envelopes issue happened, the band joked they were going to change their name to "Basket Full of Puppies"...😂

Great reaction guys! Anthrax - got the time , is a must do🤘
Love Anthrax, they're the band that got me into metal back in 87/88 when I was in 3rd grade.
Anthrax - I am the law
great choice.

You should check out 'I am The Law' next by them. It's about Dredd and it's a BANGER
that's my favorite anthrax song! "a man so hard his veins bleed ice. when he speaks, he'll never say it twice!"
check that. i think potter's field is my favorite anthrax song.

This was my favourite song to play on Guitar Hero. Anthrax are so underrated.
Mine too! If I only had time to play just a song or two you could bet Madhouse was one of them

Born in 1970 86 onward was a great time for metal i followed anthrax to stadium and to my home town shoebox and they never dropped energy
nice reference to good burger boys love that movie too! Lol whoever this song charger me when I have a bad day period.
Finally got to see them live a couple years ago. Me and my buddy both got guitar picks. We were second row.

Did You Know: This song was In…
-Guitar Hero 2
And GTA Vice City
Did not realise it was in VC! Played that to death but remember hearing it for the first time in GH2
Crazy video, crazy sound 😮😮😮

I'm the man - by Anthrax is awesome
‘Blood Eagle Wings’ is the most hardcore Anthrax video ever, brutal..
My buddy Danny payed lead. The extras were crew members. Dan now builds watches. Expensive badass watches

Great guitar 🎸 work.
To get that extra crunchy sound, Anthrax attached either wrapping or wax paper over the front of the amps. 🍻🤘
SLAYER has an album that is nothing but Punk Rock covers, with one original song at the end, Undisputed Attitude. 🍻🤘😖🤘
Morning guys! Man this is old,man I'm old..jk...or am I?...lol Anyways that place looks like a madhouse for sure! Lol! Sometimes I think I belong in one!🤣😂🤓
If the insane cannot act sane and the sane act insane to protect what sanity they have, who is truly sane?
Shaq didn't miss a lot of field goals, but he did miss a lot of free throws.

Anthrax---Got the Time (also done by Joe Jackson and just as good)
Got the time from persistence of time is a banger.
Random thought. New York bands just hit different. From Anthrax, Ramones Beastie Boys and everything in between, just a little different sound.
I first heard this on GTA Vice city
For different singer and vibe checkout: Anthrax - deathrider.
Anthrax is a little irregular, mas they made some very awesome songs! Madhouse is insane. no pun intended. ;)
I think alot of those extras were just friends of the guys in the band.
Staying on topic. Wish to be Charlie Benante for a day. Take a look at his fiancé.
Me too lol. I have a total girl crush on Carla Harvey 😍🔥
Next do some overkill
What's your nice lads from jersey

My bday tomorrow, so hopefully you guys get around to my patreon request 🙏
I don't belong in a madhouse but I am a bit Antisocial.
i gotta say sadly i'm not feeling this. i will still label pantera as one of the big 4 despite they came into metal later.
