I was in the 1st-2nd grade in 2010. By the time I got to middle school/high school, this era was already over :( everyone just plays on their phone. The early 2010's and prior was the golden age in school we will never get back. People aren't nearly this social and outgoing anymore.

I was in high school in 2010 and I absolutely dressed like this. In my case it was totally a phase and even though I sometimes cringe at the memories, I'm still glad I was a teenager in this era. My friend group looked so similar to this group, I even had the layered blond hair with black underneath, a million bracelets and the raggedy Converse. It was a fun time and it's nice to see this time capsule to see how far I've come.

Its so weird to see comments like this. Not at all in a bad way, but being someone who wishes they grew up in the 90s, but experienced teenage life in the late 2000s/early 2010s-it puts things into perspective of how each generation wishes they can experience life in a different time period.
I didn’t think there would be yearning for that time, but I honestly do see it now. 2009 was awesome compared to now.

This is so refreshing. No tiktok, no trying to fit into some specific "cores", clothes that have personality, people actually looking like people and not everyone looking exactly the same with big eyes, a tiny nose, plump lips etc. these people look authentic, as in, they don't pretend to be someone they're not on camera and everyone just wears what they're comfortable with without constantly having to worry about what other people think. I wish my highschool years were like this. Instead, everyone wanted to look exactly the same with the same features that society thinks are the "beauty standard". This was beautiful to watch. I hope people learn to live their lives the way they want to and not have to fit into a box that society considers "perfect".

Oh don't worry what you described was a thing back then too. There was always trends of people wanting to look the same, it's been ingrained in humanity since the beggining of time. and I guarantee you somebody said this exact same thing years ago.
