Nick, I think the XD Mod 3 will go 2000+ rounds with no problems. Thank you very much. You and your family have a beautiful and blessed week. LORD GOD Bless and stay vigilant.
When I bought my OSP Hellcat, I tested it in this manner. I finally gave up and just cleaned it after 3k rounds, the pistol has never had a stoppage for any reason. I suspect that pistol would wear you out before it failed, if you tried to run it until failure in one range setting.👍 If I was in the market for a 9mm, this pistol would easily be on my list to look at.👍 I have my 🤞 they do something similar in 10mm.💥👊
@@Disastrous.Affect 3000 rounds out of the Hellcat sounds snappy haha. It is a great shooting gun though and I’m glad to hear you didn’t have any issues.
Just got this as my first pistol, with 1000 rounds in the way. Seriously feels like a quality item and punches way above its price. Really glad I found it instead of getting a used s&w or beat up gloc, at this price.
I think the Mod 3 looks super appealing. I bought an Echelon but think this would of fit my needs better. The Echelon is now my nightstand gun. I am back looking for a gun to carry when I’m on my bike. Really like the grip safety just in case I dropped it or I went down.
PDP is a great gun, good texture and great trigger. If I remember correctly it doesn't come with the optics plate, you have to order one from Walther. Unless they changed that, and it comes with the Rmr one from the factory.
I have an original xd subcompact 9mm and it’s a great gun. Eats everything. I wish this mod3 was available in California. They do have the XDM on sale right now at Sportsman’s for $469 so I might have to jump on that
Hey, look who's back! The Mod 3 is a great little beast. Im really enjoying it. I swapped out the red fiber for the green as well and it continues to impress me and continues raising eyebrows with the guys and girls at the range. Good idea bringing the Mod 3 back out. Its become one of my favorites, I love seeing that that thing in action. Its like that gun invites a challenge and enjoys smoking it's competition. I got the plate for the optic sight but I've changed my mind on putting my CT rad micro pro green on it. I didn't like the fact that you would lose the iron sights completely without co-witness unless you purchase the raised sights. I ended up putting the CT rad micro pro on the Canik MC9LS which fits perfect with the sheild footprint with no plates or modifications and iron sights still active and co- witness. I believe the MOD 3 will be just fine without a optic but I wouldn't mind seeing what you think about shooting the Mod 3 with a red dot. The Mod 3 and MC9LS I believe make a great combo for under the $500 mark. 100% satisfied with both and the price is just great for what you get, you really can't beat it.
I have a PDP compact and it's my favorite shooting gun. It's a thick girl to carry but I do carry it at times but not too much. But no issues and shoots great.. Springfield has made some great shooting and reliable pistols. My HC & HC Pro have had no issues. If they echelon was slimmer/more compact I would get it
I'd love to see you testing the radian/afterburner. I've seen a lot of praise from TH-camrs but commentators are saying it's not as great as reviewers are claiming. We need a truly unbiased review.
Hey nick im proud to say im rebuilding my gun collection. I currently have the sd40ve and a 12 gauge shotgun I’ll be adding the Springfield to my collection very soon for the price I’m a budget gun buyer lol.
I’d be very interested in seeing you compare this to a CZ P10c, if you’re looking for something to compare in the “bang for your buck” class. They can be had online for not a whole lot more money right now and have had many good reviews over the years.
They were probably able to cut cost on that Springfield because they basically only gave us the gun and one mag. No fancy box and extra crap we won't use
That gun is a little stinker, always wants to come out and have fun. Hmmm is somebody inadvertly become a member of the Croation brotherhood of the XD....? Seems you and few small channels are the only ones showing the XD mod3. Even James the XD Man didn't show anything. Personally I got one and waiting for the sub compact to come out. Keep on shoot it. Might be surprised if it will run another few hundred before any stoppage.
Im probably around 3000 or better in my base model original xd and with minimal maintenance and cleaning its never failed on me im just apprensive with the price point only being 300 when the same over 15 year old gun is still going for over 450
The price could just be a marketing tactic. It lets people take a chance on a pistol for $300. If they like it, they instantly start thinking about other SA pistols. Smart move in my opinion.

You too, sir. Thanks for always watching!
U mean its barell life is that much ?
It's good to see that you are still making new content on that XD mod 3. Keep it up!
It’s a fantastic pistol. I’d hate for it to be overlooked with all the new guns that hit the market.
@@averagemarksman Why I bought 2! :D

Powder river precision makes a trigger for XD.
That’s good to know. I’m not a big fan of modifying pistols but I’d love to know what kind of difference it makes.
No optic, just clean sights, perfect nightstand or truck gun
Agreed.
Just got XD Mod 3 from Sportmans Warehouse for $279. First gun, won’t be the last. Once I get better at shooting may look to adding higher end later.
@@djfamily1972 that’s a great first purchase.
About to pick mine up from Sportsman’s this morning too 😊

The grip safety and the bike is a great thought process.

Doesn’t seem like a bad price for the XDM.
Excellent videos, Excellent pistol in my opinion for home defense and carry all in one package
Agreed.
Oh yeah here we go 💯
Thanks for all of the support, Joey.
Another great video love to see 2000 rounds. Would also like to see your review on the H&K cc9. Again thanks
I really want the CC9 to test out so it will happen.
Thanks for that. 😊

I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the PDP. I’ve been dragging my feet on it for years.
Nice! Look forward to that PDP review!!
It should be a good time. I’m looking forward to it.
There are no cheap” not as good PDP’s” they are all great!
Maybe lower price point is a better phrase. I wanted to buy the version with the “cheaper” trigger.
👍👍
I'm late to the party, but glad to see the Mod 3 is still holding up nicely. Can't wait for your thoughts on the new HK.
We should have the new HK in a couple of days. Going to run 500-1000 rounds through the PDP before getting started on the HK.

Completely agree, it punches way above its price point! Where did you get the fiber optic replacement at? Looks like it’s a .60. Thanks again!

Keep it up! Good videos.

I’ll see if I can get my hands on one down the road. We have a PDP that came in today and a CC9 that’s on its way.
Will Previous Generations like the mod 1, Mod 2 Iron sights work on this gun? This is my first Springfield XD.
That’s a great question and I’m not sure. You might have to give Springfield a call.
The Beretta apx1 compact is 300 also
We have had a lot of people mention the Beretta APX in recent videos. We might be able to get our hands on one in the future.
@averagemarksman ok ok cool 🆒️ 😎
They were probably able to cut cost on that Springfield because they basically only gave us the gun and one mag. No fancy box and extra crap we won't use
We can buy magazines for it for $25. Pretty good price in my mind. I hate fancy boxes. Complete waste of money.
Do you know if the mod 3 can use the old XDM magazines?
@@HUMBLEMANTRYING that's what I'm wondering/ hoping. I have plenty of those mags.
What size fiber optic did you happen to use?
I'm not 100% certain. I had a few spare's from various guns and used one of them.

If they release a subcompact I’ll pick one up to test out. I believe the XD videos did very well. I’ve grown to be a big fan of it.
In regards to recoil/snappiness, how would you compare the XD mod 3 to a Glock 17 or 19? I've just about given up on anything not steel framed
It’s tough to compare it. The grip is better for me on the XD. Makes the recoil more manageable.
What you recommend as an EDC gun if you could only have one?
I’d recommend a Shield Plus 3.1” barrel. It’s what I’ve carried the majority of the last two years.
@ Do you find it "keels" at all? Where if there's too much weight above the belt and slide isn't long enough it will tip forward and print

@@averagemarksman couple friends seear by them
Can it use x d m magazines?
No, XD-M magazines will not fit XD handguns.
Reset is irrelevant except maybe for competition
I think that depends on the person and if they shoot other guns.
anyone using this as their EDC
I’ve seen several people mention it being an edc in other videos.
I had a XDM .45 cal. And I never was able to get that to feed correctly! I sold it for half what I paid for it! Never again for Springfield!
I see a ton of problems with 40, 45, and 10mm when it comes to semi-auto pistols these days. I typically try to avoid them.
I've read quite a few reviews conveying the same. The 9mm seems rock solid though.
Friends don't let friends buy Springfield.
Something I’ve never understood.
