btw please do as you use to look at details a lot to the MV and what happened and the story behind it you should check it first because the next two songs of his new album are related to it, it a story line, it start with DAECHWITA then HAEGEUM and ends with AMYGDALA, he tells hes story with em
in "Amygdala" is a clear X-ray of the beginning of Yoongi's emotional and Yoongi's psychological wounds. The point in favor is that he is able to recognize where his wounds comes from, many other people are not capable of consciously recognizing the origin of their emotional wounds, but Yoongi is and that is what allows him to heal little by little every pain you have experienced in his life.
In the case of "Daechwita", it is the latent anger that comes from his life wounds, from not being able or not knowing how to express all that resentment and internal pain.
It is Suga's fight against AgustD, 2 different consciences, the same person (an alter ego that he uses to express what Suga cannot) AgustD is freer, Suga has an image to take care of.
Yoongi not only felt like a victim of the of his economic situation that dragged him and his family into a constant situation of despair and daily rummage.
In addition, he felt like a victim of the society and culture in which he was born, and with good reason, opportunities are for a few and always for those who least deserve it.
"Haegeum", Here we see the murder of his worst enemy: his rancor, pain and fear.
No longer is the anger directed towards the outside, culture, society and rappers who despised him as a child and a growing idol.
He recognizes that his worst enemy has been himself and now he is stronger, braver and more mature to face him and shut him up.
He no longer represses it, the pain has come out and has given him power.
"His weakness became his greatest strength" and now he uses it, not as a complaint in which he excuses himself to make violent and angry music like in AgustD or D-2, but as a great life lesson, a life that he now enjoys being a mature, frustration-free man.
Yoongi in Haegeum is closing a cycle, turning the page and starting a new chapter in his life, not only as a musician and producer, but as a human being and mature man.
    The wound has already healed.

I feel like it also comes with going through the journey because when we didn't have the series we didn't catch onto the meaning the first time/first watch. Well, this was from my own experience. But once you get into it more, you have a grasp more, but definitely love the explanations for when he does go deeper into all 3.
I think he was paying attention but it's just as a first time watcher you don't fully grasp the idea until you go along and learn more and rewatch a million more times 😂

I believe that lyrics play a crucial role in determining the preference for a song, and many of his songs, including '28' and 'Polar Night,' are ones where the lyrics are so beautiful and well-written. But even considering the language barrier, the translated ver lyrics, especially in the lyric videos on TH-cam where most people first encounter the songs, really downgrade his songs and it's so sad to see that..

"Born as a slave but now a king, born in a ditch but rise up a dragon. That's the way I live."
These lyrics hit me hard because they are literally a demonstration of his life
First of all, Suga grew up in a very poor family, so he worked part-time jobs late into the night after school to make money. As a result, he was always sleeping or lying down at school, and went back to work once school was over.
His parents didn't support his dream to pursue music, often tearing up or discarding the lyrics he wrote. Consequently, he left home at a young age and barely managed to scrape by with the money he earned from selling his music on the streets. However, he was often scammed by unscrupulous adults, which left him without enough money to afford a proper meal. He either ate $1 ramen or went completely hungry. He had to face the harsh realities of life alone from a young age, deprived of proper care during his formative years (‘Wasn’t loved enough as a kid, that’s why l’m the cautious type’ explains his childhood)
He has been suffering from depression, social phobia, and OCD since his teenage years. Even after debuting, he was tormented by negative thoughts. During one concert, he experienced a panic attack triggered by his social phobia, resulting in his hospitalization and the cancellation of the concert. Even after that incident, he was plagued by guilt over the concert's cancellation, causing him to wake up in the middle of the night in cold sweats, unable to sleep. And listening to his songs from his first album, l think he did had tried to give up on life
His struggles were not only mental, he also endured intense physical pain for a long time.
Before BTS began to gain popularity, when the company was on the brink of bankruptcy, he was worried about the potential disbandment of the group. Due to his financial difficulties, he secretly took a part-time job at night, but got into a car accident and dislocated his shoulder. Fearing that he would be kicked out if the company found out, he hid his injury even from the other members, enduring the pain of dislocated shoulder alone for years while maintaining a demanding schedule filled with intense choreography.
When the company found out, they didn’t berate him or kick him out. Instead, they offered to support his college tuition and helped him with his difficult situation. However, as he couldn't cease his activities with BTS, he continued to dance with his injured shoulder, relying solely on painkillers to manage the pain until his shoulder worsened to the point where he couldn't even lift a bottle with his arm, and his shoulder ligament was torn. Eventually, a doctor told him that he might not be able to use his arm anymore if he did not undergo surgery.
Eight years after the accident, he underwent surgery in 2020 and received the treatment he had needed for his neglected shoulder for eight years. He used to enjoy b-boying in his prime, but after injuring his shoulder, he can no longer do it. And because of the permanent injury to his shoulder, he is now serving his military service as a public service worker.
I believe his maturity and wisdom stem from the numerous challenges he had to confront alone from a young age, and the strength he had to cultivate to endure those times

Suga is known as a genius lyricist for a reason. every person may not like all his songs but he doesn't write songs for that. all his songs are targeted for specific groups of people and all of them usually hit the target.

Aww Rex... Yoongi is a huge history buff and there's usually lots of Korean references in his music..daechwita is a type of music that usually played when royalty appears it for the military. This track is the struggle between rich famous Suga and the humble peasant Yoongi...btw you never actually see if the King is dead💜💜💜💜

Yoongi's raw lyricism and his confidence to say his thoughts out loud in the most straightforward way is what makes him such a top notch Musician. One song he'll be making our hearts twist in pain while he spills his deepest darkest secrets to us then he will be cursing capitalism without a single ounce of fear in the next song😹.... and that is why it is so important to pay attention to the lyrics while listening to his songs. Min PD is a Genius 💜
He had me when he said "Your being ordinary is rather my being special. Your being special is rather my being ordinary" and it is such an inspiring thing to say too and it applies to everyone so well....
Sidenote - I still find it difficult to listen to "Dear,My Friend" because it makes me feel like I am eavesdropping on a personal conversation. It hurts so bad... And let us please all appreciate "Strange" like it deserves...because man.. THAT SONG DESERVES ALL THE RESPECT!!!!!!!

It isn’t translated on the lyric vid that you watched for Honsool but the distorted / mumbling parts between Suga's raps are actually the names of several different kinds of alcohol, most of which Yoongi himself has been known to drink either in lives or their different traveling / vacation shows. The term Honsool itself actually means along the lines of “to drink alone” or “the act of drinking alone”.

i think the song "agust d" is the one he made about becoming an idol and telling the other rappers to f*** off. its from his previous album. also, they have a daechwita performance with the members singing it live and hobi kills it its sooo good

You should check out his song "Agust D" the vibes are very similar to Daechwita.
Also Daechwita is a part of a trilogy. It's "Daechwita", "Haegum", and "Amygdala" in this order you should also react to them to get the full story.

Here's the explanation about 'Daechwita' MV!
    1. Daechwita is a kind of traditional music that was played during the march of the king and the march of the army
(Suga mentioned that when he heard Daechwita's meaning, he connected it with BTS and ARMY(fans), and decided to make a track using this traditional music)
    2. l think the MV’s main theme is the Battle between his selfs.
According to Suga, the blond-haired Agust D who appeared in the 'Agust D' MV(2016) is the same as the blond king in 'Daechwita'. To give a brief explanation without spoiling too much, in the 'Agust D' MV from 2016, Agust D was filled with rage and anger, dreaming of revenge against those who belittled and insulted him. This is something you'll understand when you see ‘Agust D’ MV
As time passes, he gained fame, power, and became the king
However, he became a tyrant who burns with vengeance and anger and indiscriminately beheads people
(King's lyrics: All shit-talk they got no games. Off their heads )
And there's another Agust D appearing in the music video, dressed in worn-out clothes with black hair.
Compared to his past self(the blonde Agust D), he is now more matured, less angered and wants to be humble (The rebel's lyrics : 'I only looked up and now l want to look down and put my feet on the ground')
By confronting king Agust D, who symbolizes his dark past, he reflects on his past (The rebel’s lyric: ‘Remember Remember days gone by remember’), and he kills his tyrannical past self with a gun
This seems to symbolize the introspection and change Suga underwent as BTS became famous and he tasted success. He reflected on his past, which was consumed by anger and success, and aspired to become a better person.
(🌟 The name of the gun he used to kill the king is ‘ARMY model 1860'. He killed his negative self with the help from the fans, suggesting that fans are the medium through which he keeps himself in check and can become better person)
An intriguing detail in the MV is that both Agust D characters have a 'scar' in their eyes, the reason for which you'll understand when you listen to the 'D-Day' album.
