Is it me or did Delia get better looking with age? I haven't seen her recently, but she became so much more crushworthy back when this was done

I love Delia so much. Cute as a bug's ear and I learn so much from her. Such a contrast from the crotchety looking and sounding Fanny Craddock. I can't stand Fanny.

Delia usually gets it spot on but the sussex pond pudding looked like stodgy slop. And she made rather a bodge job of rolling the pastry.
Furthermore who has 6 mini aluminium pudding basins to hand? And going by the pan you can only steam three at a time.
I agree with her about aluminium pans but they do discolour with even the first use. You can see this by the darkened staining in the bottom part of the steamer pan when she takes the top off. Oddly though Delia always has a brand new saucepan in each episode of this series.

If you look again, there are six puddings in there.

I have 8! I use them regularly, especially for summer pudding, and also for Christmas pudding ice cream.

The Sussex pond puddings are delicious. I’ve made them a few times. When they’re turned out, they do dip slightly in the middle, but they still look and taste good.
