Misinformation, disinformation and Malinformation. Mistaken, lying and telling only select parts of the truth to fit a narrative. Both sides do it but only the right allows discussion on the validity of any statements instead of blanket denial.

@@Princess_Celestia_ you must be joking? I know a woman up here walking her property with her two dogs, she was attacked by an angry bear, her dogs were running ahead of her heard her scream ran back and saved her life fighting off the bear. Don't feel alone... 😕
I've been accused of spreading "misinformation" soany tomes I couldn't count it if my life depended on it.
And every time was a instance where I was actually saying undisputable facts, PROVEABLE FACTS!
I came with evidence and everything!
      Just like with cvd.
And the REAL danger (which was the "treatment", or "protocol", and not the virus itself).
      Amd the distancing.
      And the masks.
      And the shots.
And now we even have video evidence of FAUCI and other members of the CDC who have admitted that we were right all along - that they lied and manipulated and caused the deaths...
And I'm no idiot. I've been a medical provider for 23 years.
But yet I see ads and videos that claim that "this product can regrow teeth and gums overnight!"
Others that claim, "this drink will cure cancer!"
And so many others I could list.
Now if telling the actual TRUTH and backing it with EVIDENCE is "misinformation", yet direct lies and false advertising is somehow NOT, I'd like to know when the definition of "information" changed.

You hit the nail on the head when you said [paraphrase] “why can’t college students just admit they are wrong about some things?”
It takes intellectual maturity and self reflection in order to do that. Which happens when your ideas are tested and proven right or wrong. College students typically haven’t had their ideas tested so they don’t have the level of humility to accept being wrong.
Think about this. I was an Uber driver for a bit in Boston. I had a woman get a ride and it came up that she was a professor at Harvard. She had a class about entrepreneurship. So I asked her how many successful or even unsuccessful businesses she had started.
    She sheepishly said zero.

However, it seems that moreoften once they've acclimated to life on campus, these students become engulfed with the need to assimilate to whatever the popular thought process is projected in order to "fit in". Underneath all of these conflicting views is a need to belong and accepted by whichever environment one finds themselves in.

Their eighteen years of experience on the planet outweighs much more wiser citizens in their late twenties and up.
Young idealists don't stay that way for long once actual life's obstacles start to hit them. By twenty-nine all of those beliefs start to change as they build experience and wisdom.

All politics and religion should be outlawed in a learning environment unless the student is studying Social Science. They have a curriculum to follow and it does not include pushing their own agendas. I wonder what would happen if students or parents started suing these institutes for robbing them. So, showing what a professor says online encourages violence against the professor.
However when the professor basically says, "those people voted for Trump and deserved to die," do the professor's comments not encourage, or at minimum normalize, violence against Trump supporters?
It's great to be critical, but we should be critical of both those we agree with and those we don't.
This concept is totally lost on many of these 'critical' thinkers
Also, exposing someone who has said evil/hateful things is not the same as encouraging violence against them.
Further how is sharing the professor feels Trump supporters 'coloring' his speach?
He is clearly saying they deserved to die as there is no acceptable context for such a statement.
