At my school, there is a separate graduation ceremony for LGBT (Lavender Graduation). I don't understand how or why the regular graduation commencement is an "unsafe place." I doubt through the joy and excitement and possible nervousness about going into the real world anybody is thinking "hmm, how can I be mean to that one gay person?"

I just don't understand why anyone's race would ever be relevant to any situation. Why does it matter what race somebody is! These people are just obsessed with it for some reason and I don't understand why.
Unfortunately, we humans tend to go tribal when we get scared. Something happens between 2 individuals of different tribes and the next thing you know, a handful of people from either tribe are doing bad things to the other. Sometimes, separation is the only thing that cools the hot tempers.

Why are some people obsessed with race? Why can't we, as Americans, just see the character of others. Base our opinions on the character of those we interact with, I care more about being able to trust the person I am interacting with rather than their skin color. Every class has some form of DEI curriculum. Elementary Math Instruction: You'd think it would be about how to teach math. Nope. It's all about how can we teach math to diverse students.

Can we have "black only" , anything? Well, can we have ""white only" anything? That should really give you, your answer. It should ideally be that simple. When we are talking RACE.

Billions of dollars have been spent to end bullying and increase diversity in schools, and it is not at all clear to me that this reduction by 6 percent is indicative of the success of diversity programs in lowering the rate of school bullying. This decrease could be due to a number of other factors, such as an increase in remote education. If kids are doing public education from home on a laptop then they are less likely to be bullied.

I just graduated from a trade school in LA and I decided not to go to the grad ceremony because they had a black only graduation. I was raised to believe we got rid of these discriminatory practices
I am 41 now, I am an immigrant to my country, originally from Greece. One of my friends throughout primary school, and honestly one of the coolest kids I knew in my eyes, was a black kid. I couldn’t tell you where he was from, just that he was a badass. No normal person actually cared about race, everyone got along, until these assholes came along. This shit is a grift, 100%.

People like her fostered racial divides. Creating an education system that blames the majority of racial problems onto one group isn't constructive. Where did she go to school? I went to school in the 60's and 70's, from Florida, Georgia to New York and they taught about slavery, the African region of Senegambia where the slave trade was highest, of Jim Crow and the democrats who fought against ending slavery. You can thank leftist and democrats for distorting and removing these discussions from school if she was never taught that, no one else. Note: I never noticed any racial problems in Florida and Georgia even though we were very diverse in our schools, we all got along. It wasn't until I moved to NY State that any of this became apparent and it was the blacks who were abusing white and Asian kids. They would bully some and even wait in large groups along school walking routes to attack and steal from the other kids. Years later I thought it was weird that NY schools taught that the South was bad for blacks and yet everything we knew was that the North was where the problems were.

I was to an all white school back in the 70s, we were out in the country, and black folks lived in the cities. That's just how it was. What i remember from history class (in middle school) was learning about Harriet Tubman and the underground railroad, George Washington Carver and his "horticultural" genius , just to name a couple. There was no Black History Month. It was called "American History"...Yes.. we learned all these things throughout the school year!! Not just during the shortest month... Crazy Huh ?!?
