Hi Kate - Always love your videos - they are so informative - can you specify for invitations that are editable AND printable how do you save the file once you have created it in CanvaPro - does Canva just format it for you when you choose the template link? or do you have to save in a specific format BEFORE grabbing the template link?
Thanks for watching friend! And good question. The file isn’t formatted for printing until your customer actually goes to download their completed template. So if your file is best printed in for example, a PNG or PDF format, you could recommend that in the listing or on the PDF where you deliver the template link :)

You are so welcome, friend! It’s generally best to stick up free elements when planning to sell Canva templates as your customer will have to pay to remove the watermark from pro elements if they don’t have pro.

This is nicely done, but I think in your intro video it would be important to add the fact that if your customers on etsy only have a free canva account they will have to pay to remove the watermarks on every pro element. This is a very important piece of making it profitable. Or is there something I am missing?

All I could see are templates having one size which is quite easy to share. Hi friend, you can only have one size in one Canva project. If you wanted to sell a bundle of different sizes you would just need to provide a PDF with each different template link embedded into the page for each different size

I tested it, it seems to... im concermed about accidentally deleting my files or closing shop later and have customers with templates they can no longer access... is that true? Hi friend, good question. Based on our testing, if a customer has already accessed and edited a template link from their Canva account, they will still have access to it from their account even if you delete it on your end. However if the link is still being sold in your Etsy shop but the file is no longer available, those customers will not have access to the template.

When having a digital product, you do not attach your downloaded PDF file after making your digital product on Etsy, but rather you use a template link from canva? The digital files I have are uploaded after I finished my canvas design and downloaded it to my computer.
You can do either! You can sell a final file as an instant download (not editable by the buyer) or sell a template that the buyer has access to to edit then they download the final file themselves.

It depends… would the style/ theme/ target market be related in any way? If so, they might be fine in the same shop. If not, I’d recommend starting fresh in a new shop!

I haven’t done digital I have tried POD and have sold nothing. Should I start a new site on Etsy or add to my previous site.

Yes! You’ll need to offer each as a separate listing since there is not a variation option on digital product listings on Etsy currently.
