New Track work adjacent to Crossleys Scrapyard in Shipley West Yorkshire in preparation for new electrification between Leeds, Bradford. This was February 1992. Also Frizinghall, and stock stabled in Bradford Forster Square station, the whole line being closed for the work to be completed. The yard that housed the Crossleys business is now, in 2024, being redeveloped as an electric depot to service the electric units on the Airedale line.
I did not know a new depot was going there. I guess the old locomotives have been scrapped. Interesting to look back on how it was during the electrification work

I walk to work past here everyday and watch as the scrap yard is being cleared and looking forward to the work to begin for the new depot.
