It might be too graphic for some, but if you zoom in on the calf @ 2:05, the lower part of its jaw was missing. @ 1:14, one of the hyenas viciously bit the face to eat before the clan arrived.
Once the hyenas start tearing it apart it will die within a minute. Hyenas kill an adult wild beast within 2 or 3 minutes from the moment they start eating it

this is so heartbreaking , it would atleast been much easier as crazy as that sounds for it to be a lion rather than hyenas , lions woulda put that baby out of its misery first , still sad both ways but thats just life in the jungle

A weak calf. Mom has that instinct to get back to the herd. Probably took way too long for the calf to get up.
Good lesson for kids everywhere. If you come when mom and dad tell you it's time to go, hyenas will get you!!
Also could be a lesson on why you shouldn't trust new friends. The ones that laugh at all your jokes, including the bad ones, should raise a red flag.
