While walking away it appeared, it did kept it on ground all the time. So may not be broken completely. The total broken one is there in another video. Can’t even keep it on groun in that. Totally crushed.

That wildebeest was a dead animal walking with its broken foot. Probably wouldn't have survived past a few days and became lion, hyena or wild dog chow.

Please don't humanise the situation. If any of them jumped in or even attempted any rescue, they could have been the next target or even better target. The croccodile had the wildebeest only by it's hoof. The 'friend's' grip spot could have been even worse i.e. upper thigh, chest area, etc.

I was rooting for the young croc: That might have been an opportunity for an uninterrupted meal. Plus with that back hoof snapped off and dangling, the wilderbeasts odds of survival after this encounter diminished greatly.
