Thank you for tutorial. If you put cloth vertex map ( using fields created by splines with small distance ) to Cloth Tag Mass Map and use Min Map = 1 % they will always stick to cloth surface.
I fixed that with vertex map added to cloth plane, in fields put that spline to create vertex map, add curve to vertex map make it 100% strenght for small radius. Put that into cloth mix animation. Than add surface deformer for cloth and put object you want to attach, like that small spline
With regard to the stretchiness and the connector pulling away from the cloth as it's pulled up - I up'ed the connector tag search radius and Max connections to 15. I didn't change the project settings at all. This still moves away a little but there is much less travel. Thanks for the Tuts. Another thought is could a vertex map be used to control the stretch?
Hey, so running 2025, started the tutorial but the spline collapses and the plane / cloth remain stills when I activate mix animation with pins, any idea on ho wto fix?
Yes sure i can! I can give you a break down, I had my samples set to automatic samples with "0.1" threshold, in global make sure "hardware raytrace" is on and the i think I set it to "Brute Force" in the global illumination tab, think that's all I did :) Hope that helps
I hope that dynamic objects can be more stable when they are close together. A rope is pulling a rigid body, and the connector will always leave some distance between them. Is there a solution for this?
Hey Luke, excelente tutorial...!!!! Can you do a tutorial where you explain how hundreds of helium balloons under a conical net raise it by accumulating at the apex of the net and keeping it upright like a circus tent?

I put a redshift object tag onto it and then selected “capsules”

just Up the Iterations Values to 10
3 iterations in my case, but seems to depend on the weight and size of the cloth being simulated.
try to just increase iterations
