Thank you for that tour, Goldhawk Road will be on my to see list next time I visit London! Also, the sound during filming was really bad ( specially if you are not a native English speaker, like me) but the autogenerated subtitles solved the problem quite satisfactory. Just saying, in case it helps other viewers.
Great fabric shops! I can see how you would be overwhelmed, there’s so much choice! Loving the pineapple print, yes a caftan would be great for your holidays. Thanks so much for taking the time to film, and well done with your bargains.
Great visit to Goldhawke Road. The shops there can get so overwhelming, I have been lucky enough to visit twice. My son was living a short walk from the fabric shops, we were going to stay and shop in 2020, I had a plan for which shops on which days! The global problem happened, he can home to Australia and we haven’t travelled since. We land at Heathrow in May 2024! Not going into London but have marked every fabric shop on my google map on out travels? 🇦🇺💜
Hi. For the viscose, how about the Beach Pyjama pattern by Now & Then patterns? It's great for wafting in a hot climate and I've made it several times. Really enjoyed the video.
Hi Rachel, thank you. Love those beach pyjamas, I may not have enough of the viscose but I definitely will have fabric in my stash that would be perfect! x
This is not far from my house. I went in December and I was specifically looking for white, knit stretch lining. I went into a few shops and most of the shop keepers didn’t have the foggiest idea about the fabrics they are selling. I also found that the majority tend to stock similar fabrics which means limited options. I actually prefer Walthamstow
Hi Leona, yes I agree a lot of the sellers don't have depth of fabric knowledge, I think that is the case in many places. I did find a huge variety of fabrics though but they do all sell the staples. I actually prefer Walthamstow Market too!
Can you take the fabrics there and then? Or can you have them delivered? Wondering whether to train or drive there if I’m planning on buying fabrics xx

You will love it, just take a break to have coffee etc, and take a small rolling suitcase! No carrying heavy loads

Quilted waistcoat sounds great, how about the Charlie Caftan for the pineapples,
Hi, love the Charlie Caftan thank you!

Hi Charlie, you really need to take the fabrics there and then I think, last time I went I wished I had taken a wheely case or a shopping trolley!
Although they may deliver it would add to the cost.
xXX👍👍👍
