  • We join Darren Cox for a masterclass in waggler fishing. Rigs, tackle and feeding are covered in detail at the beautiful Docklow Pools near Leominster.
A big net of roach, chub, ide skimmers and perch are his reward, as he catches some stunning fish for the camera.

Almost all waggler videos fail to mention drag and wind. It seems the angler always has his back to the wind (not always possible) and number 8s will only drag the float around Darren. Nice video wonderful fish, looks like a cracking place mate.

You will lose fish if you use those quickchange hooklink swivels. If the fish goes through any weed or snag. The sleeve is pulled back and the hooklength falls off. The sleeves are a very loose fit.

I’m not sure about swivel type hook length connectors

They help reduce spin. Especially if you're using double maggot or double caster. Use instead of bottom shot 👍🏻

@@jonathansutcliffe-bland4655 I know that’s the theory. But put one on a drag it through the water, the line still spins before the swivel does. In my opinion they don’t work plus to heavy for a drop shot. Loop to loop with a shot on the loop for me is the best. But we all have our views. Take care Johnathan

@@williameveritt3938 There is room for both theories. My thoughts cover both of your views. In pleasure angling loop to loop I feel is best. When you get to the competition anglers who cast the waggler 100's of times then the swivel is best as it will reduce line twist and speed up hook changes. Just my thoughts.
