i think i remember many years ago when due to fish my first match on the weaver i called in to daves of middlewich for advice on how to fish i was directed to a very young Andrew May who gave me advice cant remember what it was but must have been good as i won the match.
love it chaps, lost my way with fishing lately and waggler fishing is the only thing getting me out on the bank at the mo. keep up the the great work guys.
Cheers guys thankyou for all the laughter you have gave us, merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all and look forward to next year, P.s thankyou for signing my cap.
I believe you have a more direct link with the line under the water as the resistance on the line picks up the hook quicker. When you have the line on the water you have to pick the line off the water first before making contact with the hook
First very enjoyable to watch. But after watching both Andy and Jamie fishing the Waggler i noticed they both miss so many bites because they strike wrong. they strike straight up this causes a slight delay and friction as you have to rip the line up through the water. if you hold the rod at a angle and strike side ways you pull the line through the water and you hit a lot more fish as the contact is more direct. Try it out and they will see the how many bites they hit. i hope this helps them out.
Live the videos, instructional and entertaining! The commercial venue I fish is about 3 to 4 feet. Would you still use longer hook lengths, I’ve been using 6” thanks.
vale royal angling at Winsford sold gozzers which you bought by the number think they were £1 for 10 they were ultra soft and bloody enormous nearly a inch long the bream on the weaver loved them early 80's
start sinking the line, if the bites go off you float the line to see if theyve wised up to the zipp along maggot of the sunken line.. if that makes sence lol.(a change of noise and presentasion).
imagine the water around the line being a tube, move half inch with the rod 1/2 inch moves on the hook sort of thing, floating line isnt quite straight so you have to tug on the loose, and the whole length is loose and wobbly so move your rod tip 2 feet and it still hasnt touched the hook.
Love winning ways. Live in Ireland where it's all natural venues, but would love to fish commercial. Tell Jamie know F1s or pellet fishing here and no Chub either. Plus keep the videos coming.
@@terrystokley2968 cheers terry its irelands loss the thing thats beginning to plague our rivers and dams now is the signal crayfish introduced years ago by the powers that be
float for proper focus fishing .and pole as well, Carp is cool , but i would rather float fish as well so i dont get bored , if the alarm goes off . ,yahoo ,but otherwise i cant fall asleep while im fishing.no no no no no,
Could watch these boys for hours and hours, just brilliant !
You can’t watch this without a smile on your face. Love it.

Making a new start and beginning coarse fishing and use lads are such a help. Really enjoy your videos and big fan of your work👍

Not all Maggots are equal. You are spot on about that. Not just size but also how well they are prepared.
Great to see someone like Jamie sat watching and chatting. How did you two old pals Meet ?
this is what u used to do before , poles and the like.i like to watch your stuff , to see how the tide is turning
Absolutely favourite method, grew up on this. Brilliant video
Great video and would love to see Andy do one on the slider Tight Lines Steve Amison
great video, would you use a micro swivel between the main line and hook length, instead of a last dropper shot ?
Get on the Weaver and do one on this, it's the perfect time of the year for it.

How many fish’os have you won Colin ?
have a look at the water loaded crystal wagglers on ebay, made in the uk, ideal for clear winter water

Should always strike sideways on the waggler as you are direct to the float
Striking upwards means you need to lift all that line as you lift the rod
Luvvin you guys, knowledge and bantz, Oooshh! Come on the Goujon?
Great video!! Do you still fish the waggler much in matches? Or just pole work when on a float?
It can be mega on certain days/venues. A lot of the time you will be the only one fishing it which makes it even better!
Really want to dust the waggler rod down now!

Great vid fellas as usual. Andy, what landing net handle are you using please?
Prototype MAP one 😱
Looks good, when’s it coming out
Are the kev leech floats available to buy ? Quite like the look of them 👍

Hi just getting into fishing was given two Nash whisker carp rods could I use one to waggler fish?
Not really, they’d be too heavy and cause all sorts of problems. Most shops will have waggler rods pretty cheap so worth getting one for the job 👍🏻
I find I hit more bites when line is sunk as it isnt being dragged around but the wind and causing slack line
Bloody outstanding
Have a drop of washing up liquid on the spool to sink the line
nah cant be doing with a bow in the line with it floating lol
Would you use a small swivel to attach your hooklenght to stop twisting if using maggots?
Andy wasn't but you can do if preferred, just make sure you incorporate it into the shotting.
imagine the water around the line being a tube, move half inch with the rod 1/2 inch moves on the hook sort of thing, floating line isnt quite straight so you have to tug on the loose, and the whole length is loose and wobbly so move your rod tip 2 feet and it still hasnt touched the hook.
weighted float stops? i didnt know that was a thing. tryna search online for them but struggling here.
ahhhh hes saying stotz 🧐 nvm
If you like catching goldfish I know a place with plenty of them.
Wonder where they are fishing?
Pellet oil. Class 💪
never fished commercial venues though,
im used to repetition ,they will bite in the end
Do you have a hook preference for roach shallow?
Try the guru F1 pellets 👍🏻

No chub in ireland disgraceful ! These beatiful fish thrive in england and cause no problems
@@regjenkinson6247 I would like to see Chub here in Ireland but they won't allow them. It's silly really because they introduced Dace.
@@terrystokley2968 cheers terry its irelands loss the thing thats beginning to plague our rivers and dams now is the signal crayfish introduced years ago by the powers that be
We might not have Chub, but we have some wonderful Roach x bream and rudd x bream hybrids. Fortunately at the moment we don't have the crayfish.
Where can you get your waggler floats from please
www.djkfloatsandtackle.net/index.php?route=product/product&path=20&product_id=75
Where are the waggler from
What rod is Andy using?
It was a sample one from MAP at the time.
Sinking your line improves the presentation, therefore you get better more confident bites
Oosh
The clue is in the title....doh !
Good advice, but must say, my wife uses a 9foot telescopic rod and catches loads on the float

Instant Win Mersey Trout 💩
fished like this for 50 yrs = quicker on the strike
It’s not the same there mate
He’s fell off! Need a t-shirt with that on.
Typical Manc accent there
Nice video lads, but it's nothing new.
Not a lot in fishing is... just getting all the little bits right 👍🏻
