I've watched your videos before and I always loved the video footage of the majestic outdoor locations you go to. I never realized your FJ is a MT until now. 🤦🏼♂ Thank you for sharing videos of your jouneys. 👍
@@phantomwalker8251 Nah. IFS is fine for what he's doing. Sliders will simply protect the rockers and in this video he got quite close to hitting them. That is THE WORST damage that can happen to a body. Trust me.
Wow! This is amazing. I can't believe I've only recently discovered your content after years of typing in "FJ Cruiser" in the search bar for youtube videos.
Ok. Since everyone else likes to give you a little bit of advice here is my two cents. Not a good idea to go out with just one vehicle. Two vehicles at minimum. I run with a good friend all of the time and sometimes three. We have had to rescue people that had broke down on the trail or were just stuck. I run the Arizona desert and no one wants to be stuck in the desert; especially when it gets real hot here. Plus sometimes some of the people you might run into are not so friendly. So keep safe and have fun.
Thank you so much for an awesome episode. I admire your challenge and journey. I would love to travel the beautiful Canada one day. Best regards from the fellow proud FJ owner.
I just bought my first 07 FJ about two weeks ago and have fell in love. These videos are inspiring and I can’t wait to take mine to colorado this June. Have been a little lost on what to do and buy first so focusing on improving suspension and tires and wheels. Ideally drive it as much as possible however really leaning more towards an overland/hybrid build as that represents our current lifestyle. Any pointers would be appreciated, also looking at upgrading to V8 as mine has 300k and I’m not shy about building it how I want even if it’s a complete rebuild. Currently it’s going to Toyota for a once over and will go from there, unfortunately the Toyota place it’s going to doesn’t seem to interested or shares any passion for off-roading. Will see what happens…
Yeah the FJ is such an amazing machine, and suspension, tires, and wheels are a good start! Hope the videos help out and I'll continue making more videos about builds

Spotted your rig in Calgary today - looks pretty sweet with the white Baroud RTT on top of the white FJ! Just got a black Alu cab RTT on my black FJ this spring - will be hard to camp any other way. Great vids man - keep it up and see you out there!
Much appreciated! And not yet - I've done some climbing in gyms but I really want to get fully into it by the end of this year. Something about it is just so appealing to me. I'm guessing you are?

Awesome driving and great navigation from your friend! Looks like a great adventure and that lake in the end is beautiful! Curious what tire pressure were you running on those rocks?
Cool! I’ve seem a few of your videos before but today I sub’ed! If I were still in Washington State I’d try to put together a joint wheeling adventure with you and the WAFJC group!
I bought the FJ second hand and it already had the textured rubber stuff that was already sprayed onto the entire frame underneath. As an extra measure I just use fluid film every year and just apply as necessary. It's helped to keep it in great shape. I hope that helps!
Subbed. Can anyone give me a hint where this is? The Story Till Now went there and I cannot find it no matter how hard I look. Obviously we don't want to name it. Maybe the closest town?
I only really carry fuel on runs that are beyond 400kms. This was was maybe 100kms total there and back, so we just filled up the full tank before we went in. No Jerry cans
I broke my both side steps on this trail. So I cut my passengers part of it after that! It's really a dreamy place to the lake. We camp there for the night in our tent and worried about the wildlife attack for whole night. Do you still think about to put rock slide on it? Please let me know what kind of rock slide is good for FJ!
Oh wow! yeah I definitely will need to get rock sliders. I'm potentially looking at the self-weld kit by Coastal Offroad, but there are other options in the market too. I will probably make a video on it when I upgrade my sliders 👍

Since you live in Canada what kind of rust preventative do you do on your frame? Do you use fluid film or just wash it often in the winter?

Thanks for the tip! We were running 20 psi, what do you usually run?
happy trails iam stoked
I am stoked you’re stoked
Your video is exactly why I prefer Toyota's rock sliders rather than side steps on the FJ. It is so wide that the side steps really take a pounding.
