@@NiclasKPop totally up to you when you wanna dive into their b-sides whether you wanna react or just listen in your own time^^ they don’t have too much music out yet but they have loads of gems and even have smaller units/solo work if you wanna check them out! Xiaojun and kun had a unit debut (back to you) as well as ten and Yangyang (low low) and the members also have videos up (play v) where they post cover songs, their own choreographies, their own mini rap verses, kun also produces a lot if you’re into beat production and stuff (he posts more on SoundCloud though). I know you’ve basically checked out most of wayv’s MV’s but if you ever wanna dive into them more in your own time you can check those out :)

Because WayV (which stands for We Are Your Vision in English -- hence the lines "the face of Vision" in the lyrics of "Turn Back Time.") is part of NCT, NCT's whole dream concept is also part of WayV's storyline and concept. As with everything NCT does, it all has to do with dreams, dreaming or something to do with being in a dream state. Some fans who are into SM group theories have also speculated that NCT's storyline also connects to EXO's storyline. You just have to come to accept that everything you see from SM will be connected to SM's Culture Universe, and it's all part of a giant drama or movie -- it's just another chapter in the story. Since the creation of SuperM, where they are now taking members from each of SM's most popular groups and creating an Avengers supergroup, I think that was SM's first indication that from now on we need to pay attention, because all of its groups' MVs are somehow connected. If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the Red Force, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- together. For example, right after SuperM released "Jopping," WayV came out with "Moonwalk" and I think "Moonwalk" is pretty much a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think "Turn Back Time" and "Kick Back" are also part of that story. With NCT's dream concept, they could very easily connect to EXO's other world and other dimension theories. I even see parts of the story in "Turn Back Time" that could be connected to SuperM's MV for "One (Monster & Infinity)." When Lucas is suspended in the air in the MV for "One (Monster & Infinity)," I see similarities to the fact that he is supposed to be a fallen angel in "Turn Back TIme" who is also floating in the air. Lucas doesn't have a shirt on because he has just had his wings ripped off or removed, so he is shirtless because he is recovering from whatever happened to him. You see the scars on Lucas' back because his wings have been torn off. I also wonder if WayV actually has the power to turn back time, similar to Tao's superpower in EXO -- will it be their job to help fix the problems in EXO's and SuperM's storyline by turning back time? ("5, 4, 3, 2,1" -- they are counting down and turning back time. The end move in the choreography was designed to show time had abruptly been stopped and the momentum of their movements caused their body to tremble like that, etc.) And, if you notice, Ten and Lucas have a pivotal role in the storyline in "Turn Back Time." I think this might be because they are members of SuperM and they are coming to gather the other WayV members to bring them into the fight. Maybe in "Turn Back Time" the WayV members are cut up and injured because they have been involved in the battle as they help SuperM take down the Red Force. So on that note, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third generation groups' MVs and storylines are being designed to connect stories and plots. It's all part of SM's Universe. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee's storyline. Even though SHINee are second gen, they actually fit within the age group of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen. Ten is in ALL of WayV's MVs, he has NEVER been absent. Almost every time you said "Ten isn't here" or "That isn't Ten" you were looking right at Ten. As you can see, not only do the WayV members speak, Mandarin, Korean and English, but Ten is from Thailand so he speaks Thai; Lucas is from Hong Kong so he speaks Cantonese and a little Thai because his mom is Thai; Hendery also speaks Cantonese because he is from Macau China; and Yangyang is Taiwanese, but he grew up in Germany so he also speaks German. WayV is a very international group that speaks many languages. So, pretty much all of WayV's songs are in Mandarin with a few English lyrics and words mixed in. (Except when it's an English version, such as their song "Love Talk" or "Bad Alive," or if you listen to the Korean version of "Turn Back Time.") Fun fact: As you heard, the MV for WayV's "Love Talk" is an all English version, but if you listen to the album you will see there is a Mandarin version of the song, as well. SM just chose to only make an MV for the English version. And the reason why "Bad Love" doesn't have subs is because, although the song is primarily in English, there are lines that are in Korean and Mandarin.
As a 90s kid, when I first listened to love talk and saw the mv, the whole aesthetic of it (the filter they put over the footage, camera shots, the outfits and sound), gave me nostalgia and reminded me of boybands from the 90s and early 2000s like NSYNC and Backstreet Boys. For that reason, it's one of my favourite WayV songs.
WayV has the best discography and the consistency on the concept on every title songs they had. So yeah.. basically the best unit for me. And moonwalk, you got the taste my man …we all when crazy for that song.
If you want an easy way of remembering how to pronounce Xiaojun’s name (simplified and not 100% accurate but close enough) you can break it up into the following: Xiao = Show(er) + Jun = June. The “Xiao” would sound like the “show” in the word “shower” and the “Jun” would sound like the way you’d say the word “June”. In reality, the Korean pronunciation of “Xiao” is closer to how you’d pronounce the Italian word “ciao” but with a softer c-sound and the final part of his name actually has a quick “i” sound in-between the “Ju” and “n” (so “Xiaoju-i-n”) but trying to learn and remember the proper pronunciation at this stage would only be confusing so I’d suggest using the simplified version listed above.
Also... if you'd like to see WayV's sweet side, check out their 'Let Me Love U' mv... it's super cute and often overlooked by many reactors for some reason.
